“As a visitor to Colorado Springs, I’m already missing Shuga’s. I came in for both lunch and dinner during my trip and wished I had time to try the whole menu. Everything was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The Café Tray—which features the menu highlights—was a perfect sampler. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich and Key Lime Pie were excellent. Cocktails were perfectly balanced. The space itself is as thoughtful as the food. Beautiful art prints by a local artist line the walls, each representing a year of the business. There’s a cozy garden yurt out back that offers additional seating. It’s a unique, welcoming place with real personality. The staff clearly enjoy working together—it felt like a fun, supportive, family-like crew. I was lucky to be served by Missy, who made my day. I chatted with the chef at the bar after his shift; he was totally delightful and he clued me into his favorite local spots. Free street parking was easy to find, and I’d definitely recommend checking out their website—there’s a lot of fun lore behind the place. Everything about Shuga’s is spot-on.“

“We love bubba's! We come all the time and tonight they had an off night and got our order wrong. When I called, they were so polite and took care of us! We love them even more now. They do great things for the community and the food and staff are amazing 🤩“

“Neat place! My son enjoyed getting in the cockpit. You can eat in the plane or inside the restaurant. Food is actually decent compared to a lot of places with rave reviews in Springs! We were satisfied with the whole experience and will go back.“

“Service was great. Server and other employees were friendly and polite. Food was average but bakery items were wonderful. Atmosphere was decent though as busier time came around dense seating created alot of back ground noise and conversations.“

“My roommate and I went last night. Our server was Alexis. She is brilliant! Very attractive, energetic and friendly. We go to The Black Eyed Pea often and have had great service, but not like Alexis. We will be back and will be when she is working. Thanks again Alexis!“

“Wait time went by faster than quoted! Fad, friendly service. Coffee is the best I have had and refills were perfectly timed. Will definitely be dropping by to buy a bag to brew at home. All menu items were delicious and filling. I bought additional giant cinnamon rolls to share with absent family members. So GOOD!“

“DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I used Garden of the Gods Catering & Events for my wedding earlier this month and it was a disaster from the beginning. My trouble starts back in July when I tried to get ahold of someone to change my dinner time. It took over two months and me reaching out to general phone numbers and emails to get ahold of someone, mind you I had already paid in full so I couldn't back out or else I would have. Turns out the gal I was in contact with no longer works for the company. It came down to less than two weeks before my wedding day that I finally was able to get in touch with someone. When I hadn’t heard anything from the gal I had spoken to in the couple days prior over the phone, I emailed the general events@ email. I get an email after expressing my deep concern for my catering order in general saying “Hi, I emailed you yesterday. Did you not get it?”. Obviously if I’m reaching out, I didn’t receive anything, right? I thought we were good to go once I had a phone call and other email exchange with the gal that was taking over my day. I thought I would be able to brush communication mishap under the rug. Cut to dinner time on my wedding day. I realize it is far past the arrival time on my contract & dinner was supposed to be getting set up more than 30 mins ago. After frantically calling and sending an email, it took my father to go out & see if he could find the caterers down the road to learn that the truck has been stuck. I then get an email saying “I tried to email you”. How did that email go through but the first one didn’t? Then another email saying “I tried calling”. I had been at this lodge for 2 nights at this point had zero trouble with service or getting calls/texts/emails through. We also had two different caterers and a rental service come to the lodge also with zero service/communication difficulties. Because of this failure of communication, we ate dinner far later than planned, the food was cold & rolls hard as rocks. This also meant other parts of the wedding were pushed, causing my photographer to have to stay longer than the contract. I sent an email to the gals I had been in touch with and still have yet to get an email or phone call back.“

“Not what I was expecting for a top suggested restaurant. Music to load couldn't here each other talk. Not much of a menu selection. Staff was great. Atmosphere was nice. Had more of a club vibe with a menu.“

“We can't rave enough about this place. We come here every chance we get. We have had some long lines and wait times, but the snow balls are worth it. Employees are nice and do a great job. Well done guys, keep up the great work. Since the sno-balls are always made on the spot we never worry about them melting. They are only made when you are next in line.“

“I took my family to celebrate my college graduation to Gates Grille and everyone had a wonderful time. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and we had a table outside with amazing views. Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and gave us a great experience. The food was excellent and the menu has enough variety to suit everyone's tastes. The restaurant even stayed open late for us because we had booked a reservation on the later side and were extremely accommodating and gracious to do so. I would recommend Gates Grille to anyone visiting or living in Colorado Springs looking for wonderful atmosphere, views of Cheyenne Mountain, and excellent service and food.“

“This place deserves WAY MORE than 5 stars. The personal attention & professionalism of the staff is unmatched. Stephanie was our Server & she was top notch 👌 Carlos continued to check on our table as well & chatting with him was enlightening.
I am a Google Local Guide, Level 8 & have been writing reviews on restaurants for many years. When I tell you this place is FABULOUS, I mean it. They made sure that our Valentine's Dinner was so lovely & we are so grateful. 💝

“Snack bar at a natural area / park / tourist destination? It’s actually pretty good. Portions are decent. Staff is very friendly and focused on getting you to the ride / tour you’ve scheduled. The dining area is enormous with beautiful panoramic views.
Kid-friendliness: This place has a lot of kid activities and the menu was great for little kids who need some food. Chicken fingers, burgers, fries, etc.“

“Update: Unfortunately, due to 5 negative experiences in a row at Porkbutt, I feel inclined to alter my review. Because of constantly being out of items / deciding to opt for Gold Peak tea instead of the delicious fresh brew they had been using, I don’t think I will be visiting again any time soon. I’ve tried once or twice per week for a month to visit, and each time had to go elsewhere. But the tea thing really was a big blow for me. I LOVED their fresh house made iced tea. 😞 My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try Porkbutt BBQ for a while and finally had the opportunity yesterday. We pulled up at 11:52 and waited in the car since they don’t open till noon. They opened early at 11:55. The staff was 10/10. Knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. The food was INCREDIBLE. My boyfriend is a Rudy’s fan, but I’m not since they don’t have good sides in my opinion. But Porkbutt has amazing meat and sides. We got chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries, iced tea, lemonade, and he got the brisket grenade. The cheese sauce on the mac n cheese and grenade was so unique, I asked a staff member what that unique flavor was that gave it just the tiniest kick, and she said hatch green chiles. It was really good. The nuggets aren’t frozen bagged nuggets, they are fresh cut chicken thighs breaded and fried to order. And everything in the restaurant is gluten free. They also have all sauces made from scratch, including the ranch which I dipped my nuggets and sweet potato fries in. And I’m an iced tea snob, and the tea was SO GOOD. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the mac n cheese noodles were a little too soft for me, but still delicious. Even their business name and logo are adorable. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Highly recommend for anyone looking for finger licking good BBQ, great vibes, and solid service. We’ll definitely be back! We tried the jumbo wings, and they were absolutely superb—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. “Went for Valetines day and was very disappointed. We booked with the manager herself and was told if we did not show we would be charged. We arrived and had to wait 90 plus minutes and they cared less. Beware they added a 3% mandatory hospitality fee and a 20% mandatory gratuity. All in all, they persuaded us not to return. 100% focus seemed to be on the business thier profits and minimal to us the patrons. We cued in the waiting area with others who also seemed to be waiting like us for thier over selling.“

“Honestly this is the best DFAC on Ft Carson, i live in the 4CAB barracks right next to the Warfighter DFAC but i will always make the trip out to the Wolf DFAC bc even the to-go section is better, basically all the food you want and the food is really pretty good for DFAC.“
