From the moment you walk in you're welcomed by an incredibly well trained front of house staff, while the open concept kitchen and intimate atmosphere allow the kitchen staff and Chef Michael to interact with the guests in a completely unpretentious manner, creating an all encompassing experience from start to finish. “Favorite new Mexican spot in Denver. The food speaks for itself. Felt like authentic real Mexican food. It’s not the typical cheese drenched mush found elsewhere being sold to American peasants as Mexican food. Yet it’s priced very reasonably. The place was clean and nice and well organized. The food was hot and fresh and we ordered extra cuz it was so good. My favorite was the Torta (sandwich). She had 6 tacos. We shared a delicious chimichanga. The service was great. “Wow! I can’t believe we didn’t know R&R tacos existed until today! This is honestly some of the best food I’ve had in Denver! We went and got brisket tacos and they were delicious! The owners Rick and Ryan genuinely love what they do…. Great BBQ. They have a fantastic BBQ sauces and Salsas that compliment the meats perfectly. They gave us a sample of their homemade sausage and wow, was it good with the Carolina BBQ sauce!! Can’t wait to go back!“

“I have searched high and low for a good donut shop in Colorado. They all suck. They are heavy, greasy, dry or gooey, old and tired...except this one! Fantastic FRESH Old Fashioned donut. Moist and tender crumb, not too heavy. The best donut since moving to Colorado 26 years ago. No donuts sitting until the next day being sold as fresh. No skeevy oil. Clean, cute, good assortment. “The food here is genuinely incredible! I had the chicken taquitos which sit in puréed beans and queso topped with crema, cotija cheese, pico, lettuce and pickled onions. The queso is DELICIOUS! It's in the parking lot of the Dubb's Pub next door, and you can actually order 'for here' at his truck and he'll bring it to you on a plate inside the pub! Guacamole and sour cream provided with my quesadilla for no extra charge. I had a campechana quesadilla (asada and chorizo) which was amazing.5 stars all around except that personally I found the pub to be too loud with no booths to sit at, only bar tables and stools. The pub staff was very friendly though, so again that's just my personal feeling about the bar, I was on my dinner break (tow truck driver) and one of the bartenders even gave me a hot rod themed calendar from the mechanic next door.“

“I came across the place randomly one day. There were flyers posted on the lawn and decided to go check it out. As soon as you get there, you can smell the smoked chicken and turkey legs. It was divine! The first time, I got the birriatacos, and the husband got the tripa (intestines) Taco and a Carne asada plate. I don't like tripe, but man, these were cleaned really well and had a nice crispy texture. The consome that came with the birriatacos was very flavorful, I could've just eaten a whole bowl of that. Second round, I got the chicken tacos, my husband got tripa tacos again, and a grilled turkey leg to go. The chicken tacos were from the grill. The chicken was juicy and had some yummy burnt bits. The turkey leg, wow! That was incredible. I would come to this place over and over again!“

I opted for no beans which might have contributed to its thinness. The last two times I went the hostess said happy hour was over before the time that was reflected on the website. Then I ask my waiter and they say it’s still happy hour. Their Pork Pastor taco with the habenero pineapple and Carnitas taco will be your favorites. I think I'll just stick to getting tacos though. This location has indoor and outdoors seating. I highly recommend getting the Chile De Arbol salsa too, it's got a great spice to it. “Sonny's Tacos is a great place for quick, fresh Mexican cuisine! My partner and I come here frequently for their nachos, burritos and shrimp tacos. Casey mans the bar and is extremely friendly, kind and has been with Sonny's since they opened back in 2021. If you're lucky you will catch the owner Ernesto! Ernesto has a background in fine dining. The simple yet high quality flavors at Sonny's are his creations and you will not be disappointed. As for the environment, it is a bar like feel with open seating and room for groups up to 10 people. Today (as most times we visit), were as followed for bites: Grilled Chicken Burrito Grilled Shrimp Tacos Side of Homemade Tortilla Chips Great location for meeting friends and family in the downtown Denver Metro Area!“

“This was a drag brunch with Felony Misdemeanor. Lively entertainment. I had 2 mimosas and the bartender gave me 3 small glasses of each fruit juice (orange, pineapple and grapefruit) that I could pour in the glass of Cava Brut prosecco to create my mimosa. The pineapple juice was best for my 2nd mimosa. I followed OpenTable recommendation and I the Chilaquiles. Nice spicy Rojo sauce with queso and crema. I added a side of bacon and a Mexican hot chocolate. A great meal.“

“When I visited today, I hadn't eaten anything all day, or yesterday. I was starving, and only had a $10 Peso coin for currency. They happily accepted it in exchange for a single taco, and gave me a free water because of the heat. Then, the kind woman who took my order offered me a free soda, as well as two more tacos!
