“Wow! I've seen this Danish bakery, and have wanted to try it for a while now. It's on the other side of town, about 30 minutes, with no traffic, and driving the highway. I have a brunch party tomorrow for which I'm tasked to bring dessert-y treats. So I came to Taste of Denmark to try it out. I've got some chocolate and hazelnut tarts and some rumballs. I also bought a freshly baked sourdough loaf and a caramel tart for Monday's breakfast. The baked goods all looked and smelled amazing. The almond croissant that I had with a cup of Dazbog coffee was simply the best example of this treat that I've had in the US. I am glad I have to go out of my way to come here, because if not, I'd weigh 300 pounds, easy. The staff, some of whom are owners and family, are friendly, helpful, and not in the least surprised at how everyone in the place was gushing about their products. I gave them 5 stars but it would be 10 if possible. Take the time to hit the search button on maps, and come to Lakewood/Bear Valley for a baked good, or twenty... it's well worth your time and effort. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday and they apparently sell out frequently, so... get there early and come hungry! And, Velkommen til Danmark!“

“We first learned of Spruce House Bread when Jeff (“the bread guy”) and his lovely family were passing out loaves of bread in our neighborhood. I don’t know if he was even selling them back then (this must have been 6 years ago)! The bread was delicious but I didn’t think much of it until I saw them selling their bread at a booth at a local market and I realized “wo, I can actually buy this amazing bread from these amazing people and know exactly where it was baked and who baked it”!

Now we order a couple loaves whenever we have a special event or just want to treat ourselves and it is ALWAYS worth it. Every loaf I’ve ever had from Spruce House Bread (and I’d say I’ve had a very fair sampling at this point) has always left me wishing I had more. Each person in my family has their favorite… my 8 year old who won’t eat spicy things told me hers was the jalapeño cheddar one and I was shocked - her brother confidently told me “it’s not spicy cause they take the seeds out”. Reader, I am not saying that’s true (I wouldn’t know the difference between a jalapeño and one of those ghost peppers) but when your youngest and pickiest eater tells you that her favorite thing is something you’d never thought she’d even touch… there’s something special here.“

“Our cake was decorated beautifully. The cake yellow cake was not moist but the raspberry filling was delicious. The instructions were to refrigerate until an hour and a half before serving. When we were ready to eat it the frosting was thick and not and soft like a butter cream frosting should be. We would try their pastries but would not buy another cake. Their cake prices are high comparted to other bakery cake prices.“

“We went to this restaurant first time and the food was delicious. The uzbeki pulao was so yummy. The meat is perfectly cooked and the taste is amazing!! We also had their kabobs which were also delicious. The owner and the host at the restaurant are very nice people. They were so welcoming and generous. They brought out tea and desert for us for free since it was out first time there. Definitely recommend this place. The hospitality is what made us so happy and food is delicious as well. “The baked goods here are delicious and the people are very nice. We have had tried their Naan, large Barbari style breads and their sesame bread. All of their breads have been awesome. The first time I went in it was pretty late and everything was put away but the last time I went they also had some pastry offerings up front. “Tommy prepared a beautiful and delicious double layer spice cake with cream cheese filling and frosting, and filligree stuff around the edges in colours I'd suggested which he nailed. Twas for my wife's 70th birthday party, and the cake was the star of the show. Tommy transferred a photograph of my wife which I'd emailed to him, on the cake, perfect rendition! “The best panderia in the Denver area. I got a variety of things, but my favorite was the pumpkin empanada. Everything was very fresh, not too sweet, and tasted homemade and authentic. Prices were extremely reasonable, the self-service area was very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. They also carried a variety of grocery items, fresh meat, hot food, prepacked and/or imported foods, and many other goods. If you'd like to buy conchas or other pan dulce in bulk, you can even call ahead and order a dozen. I'd definitely return and would recommend.“

“It's a little store connected to the Entenmanns bakery. Lots of beads, donuts, pastries, they sell some bimbo products, and little bites, too. The only thing that's kinda annoying is they have all kinds of the little bites muffins, except the ONE I was looking for. Otherwise the store is very clean, well lit, it's just basically one large room with small aisles. Easy to find things. I love this store.“

“The Korean guy who runs this place is a really nice person. It was my first time there today and we bought quite a few things to taste. If you like chesnuts, he makes a lot of chesnut centered bakery item. The cheese bread was good (my daughter loved it and ate it all - she’s really picky too). We will definitely be coming back as regulars to this guy. The guy is super kind which I feel like gave his bakery a lot of character. He had generously given us samples of things too. Give it a try if you like things like Japanese moist cakes and other asian pastries. He does some European style stuff like the cheese bread, etc etc.“

“The Makery made a birthday cake for my husband’s birthday recently. My husband loves hot sauces so I asked them to make a cake in the shape and likeness of a Sriracha bottle.
