“Our first time dining at this place though we have wanted to go for a while after someone posted about it after they opened. Finally made it and glad we made reservations as it was packed since it was peak time Friday evening. Spoke with Koji-san, the owner, while we were waiting for our table and he also stopped by each table to check on them which we thought was great. We had the takoyaki, kaisen-mix okonomiyaki and the spicy miso ramen. All came within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious! Koji-san explained the background of offering takoyaki, which was so interesting and great for him to share. We will definitely be back to try the other menu items, esp their sushi, which looked delicious! Great to see a business busy and doing well!“

“I’ve been using Skratch for awhile. Switch between it and Tailwind but I prefer Skratch for my marathon training. The carb/ sodium ratio is exactly what I need for my fall race. The passion fruit guava is amazing. Wish it was not a limited edition flavor. All of the flavors are great as well. Definitely recommend Skratch“

“We were unlucky enough to have a clutch cable snap on my motorcycle, but lucky enough that it happened not too far from Spirit Hound. The staff were amazing. They brought us iced water and checked on us while we made towing arrangements (it was super hot outside!). We decided to make the best of a bad thing and wait in the distillery. The cocktails were incredible, the charcuterie was amazing, and the staff and atmosphere were great. Despite the situation, we thoroughly enjoyed our accidental afternoon at Spirit Hound and we look forward to returning on purpose one day soon!“

“I cannot say enough good things about the restaurant, and i have been to japan about a dozen times. First, the service has been flawless each time I have gone and all employees seem very invested in their jobs (and doing it the best). The sushi is excellent and it's obvious that they have a great provider and take pride in that. The appetizers here are not to be skipped as there is much attention put to making these dishes as they are in Japan and not American-ized like others in town. And last, it's hard not to be in a good mood with the buzzing atmosphere and well designed rooms. Checks all boxes for me. Solo diners - sit at the sushi bar, it's dinner AND a show :)“

“The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in and very accommodating with our last-minute reservation change. Even though we had an extra adult join us, they managed to seat our group right away. Everyone was patient and attentive the woman at the bar was especially thoughtful, quickly coming over to offer a lidded cup for my toddler. I ordered the paella with a few modifications due to food preferences, and they were more than happy to make the adjustments. As our group trickled in and we caught up with one another, the staff worked seamlessly around us, taking drink and tapas orders without ever making us feel rushed. They checked in often, refilled drinks, and brought out food promptly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience I'd highly recommend this place. The food was excellent; we especially loved the hummus, truffle fries, trumpet mushrooms, and beef ragu gnocchi. Every dish was delicious, and the drinks were fantastic too.“

Especially the location in South Boulder is what makes me love this café the barista and people who work there are always so kind and I really really enjoy their menu. I especially LOVE their seasonal strawberry Matcha latte as well as their avocado toast. I like to add some smoked salmon on my avocado toast to add some protein and they always are really open to any modifications. As a gluten-free person, I am really impressed by their gluten-free bread as it tastes delicious and absolutely fabulous. I love the different seating opportunities and the general vibe of this café. Definitely a must visit if you’re in Boulder, Colorado.🐞⭐️😽“

I have been stopping here for years now and I can say the quality of the food is always good and the portion size is usually enough to feed two people (So really good prices). If you really can put it away get a meal a person but sharing one entree is the perfect amount of food. I love their Kung Pao and General Tsao’s chicken. Very flavorful and comforting food. I have tried most of their menu and I have never been dissatisfied You can ask them to spice it up for you if you like too. And normally you are not waiting more than ten minutes.
That’s hard to beat considering it is cooked fresh. Best part about this place though has to be the couple running it. The wife works the front and the husband cooks in the back. Both are incredibly nice people and will greet you kindly when you come see them. To give you an idea. Once I forgot my wallet and they told me “Don’t Worry. Next time.” When I came back next time to pick up my meal and pay for my other one, the wife refused to accept money for the meal I forgot my wallet for. They really care about giving you great service and food at great prices. This place truly is a perfect place to get some Chinese classics and not come out with an empty wallet. When it comes to the menu I don’t think you can find better food for the price. I guarantee you pay more at China Express and get way worse food or pay over $30 per person at other sit down joints. So support a family owned business and treat your palate.“
