All of the food was amazing. It was all hot fresh and high-quality. The manager is amazing and ensures every customer is taken care of. This is one restaurant that is always consistently excellent! “This is one of our go to sushi spots in the area. Great sushi and drink selection. Really love their lunch specials, especially the bento box. It typically comes with shrimp and vegetable tempura, rice, soup or salad (both if you get the salmon bento), and 4 pieces of either tuna roll or California roll.

Also love that there is hardly ever a long wait, that there are lots of table options, and that the vibe is casual. Service is also awesome.“

There's no other restaurant in the Boulder-Denver area that compares for its quality of ingredients, perfect execution of the hot and cold traditional dishes, great sake selection, and friendly ambiance. They do the best salt-grilled mackerel I've ever had, the best agedashi mochi, the best nigiri sushi--and the miso-simmered dishes are amazing and hard to find elsewhere. “Finally tried AOI after suggestions from friends. I was super happily surprised. Great fish, really friendly staff and some kind of unusual but authentic Japanese cooked dishes.

I liked that the rolls were fairly straightforward. No super complicated names rolls with too many sauces and flavors.

Prices were also very reasonable. Much better than some of the places downtown. The vibe is much more mellow than other places but quite nice on the patio.“

“My husband and daughter (18 months) and I, ate here and had a really lovely experience. We got a couple sushi rolls, fried rice and chicken nuggets and it was all wonderful. “This is one of the best sushi places in Erie. I love the owners they’re so sweet and nice and I feel so welcomed everytime I come here. I’ve tried like half of the menu already, getting a new item every time I come in and I’ve never been disappointed.

The sushi always tastes fresh and everything I’ve gotten so far would look amazing. My personal favorite would definitely be the sunset roll. I can be a picky and indecisive person but everyone is so helpful and understanding. 100% recommended I never want to go anywhere else.“

“Our first time dining at this place though we have wanted to go for a while after someone posted about it after they opened. Finally made it and glad we made reservations as it was packed since it was peak time Friday evening. Spoke with Koji-san, the owner, while we were waiting for our table and he also stopped by each table to check on them which we thought was great. We had the takoyaki, kaisen-mix okonomiyaki and the spicy miso ramen. All came within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious! Koji-san explained the background of offering takoyaki, which was so interesting and great for him to share. We will definitely be back to try the other menu items, esp their sushi, which looked delicious! Great to see a business busy and doing well!“
