“The food was amazing. Wine list was great. Very small, intimate setting for maybe 20 guests. The chef does everything, from greeting you when you walk in, taking your order, cooking your food, delivering your food and drinks and clearing the table. Only downside is after 12 years he is closing to pursue another opportunity at a different kitchen.“

“We had a great breakfast here. Staff was utterly amazing and so helpful. We had a a 6 top and they were able to accommodate us quickly. Don't let the place deter you.. its got a true greasy spoon diner look and feel, but like most of those the food is the reason you go. I got the Toro Pot and it was fantastic, and it was frigging huge. Most everything was great there were a few misses, sausage links seemed to be frialator cooked which made them a little tough. Waffle had a few singer marks on it, but none of that made the whole meal bad. We would definitely come back here again.“

“Service was amazing, honestly the highlight of the experience. The food was good, but not quite at the leve. Fried chicken was cooked perfectly, as was the wagyu. The seasoning seemed off though and most items fell flat. The potato pave was by far the best thing we had, it’s a must get if visiting. The drinks were also not really up to the task unfortunately. I’m glad I came and tried it, I really enjoyed the unique twists on some classic American dishes, not rushing back though.“

“My husband and I started our anniversary celebration at The Original, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was fantastic, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was our server, Jeremy.

Jeremy gave us some of the best service we’ve ever had. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel celebrated throughout our entire meal. He anticipated everything we needed without ever being overbearing, offered great recommendations, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.

Exceptional customer service is hard to come by, and Jeremy absolutely exceeded every expectation. He played a huge part in making our anniversary feel so special, and we’re already looking forward to coming back because of the experience he provided.

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

The food is top notch and this is been one of the best breakfast spots near us that we go to. All the servers are always smiling and keeping the coffee full. “5 stars is not enough for The Post. We came for the Thursday special of pot pie with three people who LOVE chicken pot pie. Our waiter Dominic was so helpful and friendly. He checked to make sure they still had pot pie and had them open every warmer to find us the last three in the building. It was worth the trouble. These pot pies were extraordinary. The crust is flaky and the middle just felt like comfort. The chicken has fantastic flavor.
We also enjoyed the chicken thighs as well as our 4th friend had a chicken sandwich. Everything was prepared hot and fresh. Do yourself a huge favor and go on a Thursday for this pot pie!!“

I’ve been very cautious about eating out lately, and OMG… huge win that they offer burger bowls! I always order my bun on the side, but I didn’t even have to because they have an amazing burger bowl option for any of their burgers. Another thing I loved: when you order fries, you can choose a single or double portion instead of being forced into getting two sides.
