“Tried Pizzaro’s Pizzeria for the first time. My wife and I shared a large antipasta salad and a large cheese pizza with garlic, half pepperoni and half broccoli. Everything was great. While this is more a takeout place they have large booths and the service was excellent. The salad was awesome and so large we took 1/4 of it home. The pizza was excellent. Thin crust with a delicious sauce. I’m not a fan of the outer crust but this was so good I ate everything. I highly recommend their pizza. We have to go back and try their subs and meals as I witnessed many people getting these and pizza for takeout. I give it five stars. We will be back.“

“Family friendly. I had a grand daughter under the table and screaming (age4) and waitress tried to get on the floor and comfort her. Owner,John, came out to talk with us and tried to talk to her as he usually did (we went regularly so he knew her). I apologized and he calmly said no problem, he stayed calm. I said there were other customers and he said well they can leave. We have pizza Fridays so we get pizza there every Friday and other dishes at times. I can personally say the vodka sauce is excellent. Husband loves the meatball grinders.“

“Catering Party @ Sally’s Apizza Fairfield On Saturday September 13, 2025, we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The food, service and staff were phenomenal. We all know how great the pizza is, but the appetizers and salads were equally great. I can’t say enough about the wonderful servers, Dan and Brandon. There were efficient, kind, friendly and polite. They went out of their way to insure everyone was having a great time. The bartenders and other staff went a long way to help make everyone enjoy the party. I also want to thank the General Manager, James Layfield and the Catering Manager, Helen Blanchard for their exceptional service and hospitality. “TL/DR: Slightly above average food taste, but a nice chill spot with friendly staff. And relatively moderately priced for lunch. Got a specialty slice and a can of coke for $5.50, so pretty good!

Stopped in to grab a slice quick omw between jobs. Friendly staff and decent selection of pies to choose from. Pizza I got was a white pie with chicken, broccoli, and I'd assume garlic and such... it was ... DECENT for sure. WISH that they had a Margerita pizza for a sllice, but wasn't that lucky... womp womp... Nothing to write home about, but ABSOLUTELY much better than most places in the valley and chain establishments. FOOD WAS 3.5/3.75, but no option for half stars... again, even crappy pizza is still pizza...but this WASN'T crappy by any means, just a LITTLE bland IMO. Would DEF stop in again to try a grinder or a red pie.“

“It might be a takeout place, but it still comes close to the West Haven experience of legendary pizza. We are very lucky to have this place in Ansonia. Sometimes the pizza is so good that I get it for takeout, but eat it in their parking lot. Never makes it home.“

I had no idea what was waiting for me when I walked up the stairs and went through the doors into the Sky Terrace…and I’ll never forget the SURPRISE experience!
