The employee who helped us was incredible - she gave me a sample of the bittersweet chocolate ice cream which is now my new favorite flavor, she was so sweet! In my case, it’s not everyday a teenager is friendly to customers but the employee who helped us was absolutely phenomenal and I will be back to this location specifically for her! “On Saturday, June 11th after my Mom’s Memorial service I brought 35 people to lunch. The waitstaff was well organized, very attentive, not to mention the food was OUTSTANDING!! Everyone ordered off the menu, drinks were served along with appetizers and dessert. We all ate at the same time which is hard to do with that many people. I would highly recommend Cafe Fiore in Branford, CT to anyone who is looking to have an event or just a nice lunch or dinner. They staff worked so well together that I gave them a 30% gratuity. “Was visiting New Haven last weekend (from Brooklyn) and had the pleasure of eating at Olmo not once, not twice, but three times!! For breakfast, every morning of my visit. The bagels so good, the menu so mouthwatering, the people so kind and welcoming— I couldn’t stay away! And I’m still thinking about it a week later…

The first morning I got the Hot Pastrami. It is, and i cannot stress this enough, DELICIOUS! A generous helping of pastrami—rivaling that of Katz Deli—paired with a mind-blowingly yummy spinach-artichoke schmear and some pickled onions sandwiched between a sesame seed bagel. Cannot recommend enough.

The next morning I had to try a new schmear (the schmear selection is thrilling). I went with beet and dill veggie on an onion bagel. Crunchy, refreshing, sweet. Yum.

I am a creature of habit so, despite my desire to try the basil feta schmear, the third morning I went with the Hot Pastrami again. Turns out lightning can strike twice, it was just as delish the second time.

This is a place that clearly loves their clientele and their craft. They were communicative, efficient, and so friendly. You immediately feel welcome. A must visit for any bagel lover who finds themself in New Haven!!“

“We got take out and were excited to try this new restaurant based on the reviews. The food was delicious and was ready quickly. We had 2 curries and the tandoori chicken, with the calamari appetizer and naan. Only complaint is that we received four small pieces of tandoori chicken (the container it came in was half empty), which did not seem like a good value for $20“

“Bella Casa Vegana is a separate vegan menu at Costa Pizza. There is very clearly signage once inside the restaurant letting you know about all the many vegan options. The vegan pizza itself is fantastic and fairly priced. The crust, sauce, and cheese are all fantastic. The restaurant itself has minimal seating, but that’s to be expected in this sort of establishment. I would highly recommend this to any vegan looking to experience some New Haven pizza!“

“Everything was great! My wife and I brought our two kids (14 & 11) there yesterday evening and everyone enjoyed themselves. The oysters, shrimp, and clam chowder couldn’t have been more fresh. “It didn't take long for us to realize that JCakes had to be the bakery to make our cake. They had the most flavorful and moist cakes and their fillings and frosting were to die for! They also have talented decorators who were able to create my dream wedding cake.

We were able to choose different cake flavors and fillings for each tier, which was helpful since we loved every single flavor we tried at the tasting! The final product was as delicious as the samples we had tasted and as beautiful as we imagined! I am still getting compliments on our unique and delicious cake!

My wedding cake was included with my venue's package, so JCakes charged what was included to my vendor which was the majority of the cake, and I paid for any details that were extra (one of the cake flavors and fondant design).

We highly recommend JCakes for any occasion, but they are the ultimate bakery for wedding cakes!“

“Our hotel was right across the street, so one night we decided to grab a late-night snack with a beer. This place delivered exactly what we wanted. The tots were hot, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. The boneless wings were fairly standard, but they met our expectations.“

“Usually their salads are delicious. But today i came by, right when they opened up (prob a mistake) and ordered a crispy chicken salad … My salad was done in about 5 mins …. ( how can chicken be cooked that fast?) Anyway, i tried to eat the salad for dinner. My croutons were stale, the bread was stale and tomatoes along with the cucumbers tasted like theve been sitting out from the night before. I doubt chicken was freshly made. I’m so disappointed.
