“Gisellas has been our favorite go to Italian restaurant in DANBURY since it opened. Food is always delicious and consistent and the wait staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Unfortunately last night we had a different experience the moment we walked in the door. Hostess was very unfriendly and dismissive, no eye contact and acted like she was doing us a favor seating us! Thankfully, like always, the rest of our dining experience was amazing!“

“Maybe this was an off night for Dolce being new years eve. From the start, the waiter had one thing on his mind, get us out as quickly as possible. Waiter was not friendly, and had no interest in assisting us. Didn't even offer bread , only came after we asked during the appetizer. Food was average to above average which helped the situation. Ownership needs to school the waiters on better ettiquette with customers“

Perfect crust. Not too thick or thin that's lightly crisp and doesn't flop.
The sauce is very flavorful, perhaps a little on the sweet side.
Generous selection of fresh, quality toppings.
The cheese was perfect without the too often unwelcome excessive grease.
Skip new haven brand lines and hype. This mom and pop out shines!

“Excellent food. Small and quant hime feeling. Plenty of room, not on top of each other. Friendly atmosphere. Wine selection was good. Loved the seafood salad and the special: lobster ravioli in a blackberry sauce was outstanding. Definitely a diamond in the rough.“

“We moved into the area about a month ago and tried this place recently. The place has been here a long time but it looks like a hole in the wall sort of place.

We went for lunch. Sandwhiches were pretty good and reasonable. Just not something I would personally go out of my way for. I'm still exploring the area so I may come back down the line.“

“Don't get a sandwich that you know is covered in sauce delivered if you're going to complain about it being soggy. Don't order a pizza like this in Connecticut if you can't handle relatively thin crust. Don't give local businesses bad reviews based on one questionable experience you had. So many of the bad reviews on this are for the pettiest things when, in reality, this is the best pizza you're going to get in this town (and I'd wager it's cheaper than Pepe's). Don't get me wrong, Pepe's is good, but every Pepe's location outside the original in New Haven isn't anything special and Soho provides as good if not better pizza at a similar if not lower price compared to the satellite locations (like the Danbury one). Also this is definitely local and Pepe's isn't so much. Support local and exercise sanity. This place is good“
