We started with the crab cocktail and half a dozen oysters with everything being fresh and delicious. The cocktail came with a mustard sauce (in addition to cocktail sauce) that was quite tasty. I ordered a Branzino special which had an excellent thick flaky piece of fish cooked to perfection. The service was so efficient, i never had to worry about my water glass not being filled as the waitress was constantly checking on us. The ambiance is chic but somewhat laid back. Good place for people watching. All in all, an excellent New England Seafood restaurant. I'll definitely be back.“

“I drove down to Stamford the other night to go down to workout at lifetime fitness since I have a membership. I from New Jersey so I was delighted to see all of the restaurants and how well the area is kept clean. The parking is easy.The food at the Capital Grill was not bad at all. I had a new england clam chowder and a caesar salad. It wasn't the best thing I've ever had but it was nice to sit at the bar and be the only patron. The service was extremely masterful and I found myself receiving therapy from the bartender.I will absolutely be visiting again the next time I am at the gym!“

“This was our first time dining at The Whelk! The food was so flavorful and fulfilling! We started with chilled shrimp, roasted oysters, and the deviled eggs. We split the broccoli and fish/chips and it was very savory. My mouth was watering as I took every bite! We also had a tropical mezcal drink and it was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was disappointing, I would not order again. Buddy had the lasagna which he destroyed, huge portion. I had the blacked salmon special which was very good, nice filet. “This was our first visit to Coast Seafood. Upon walking in we were a bit apprehensive about what our experience would be like. That apprehension was put to rest from the moment we received a warm greeting with a 'thank you for coming to my restaurant.' Our cocktails were perfect. My wife had one of, if not the best cosmopolitan martini she's ever had. Come to find out it is the owners specialty drink. The pan-fried beef goyza dumplings served as a wonderful starter. For entrees, I opted for the filet of sole that was very tasty. My wife had the special of the day, Chilean sea bass that was absolutely incredible. Lucky me, she could not finish it, so I got to do the honors. Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert. The service was excellent with every need promptly tended to. We are very happy that we dined Coast Seafood. Next time we find ourselves back in Greenwich, CT we'll be returning for another excellent dining experience.“
“I've been to The Americano, a new trendy eatery in downtown Stamford twice and thought it time to give this restaurant a review. Simply put, it's exceptional and thankfully, a big hit. The word of mouth has really helped since I frequently hear people talking about it. Our party of three dined on a Saturday night. Our server, I wish I knew his name, was polite, helpful, and efficient. When he brought the wrong drink (things happen) he quickly fixed the issue and was gracious throughout. We enjoyed the Burrata and Truffle Arancini as starters, and the Hangar Steak, Salmon, and Scallops with a side of truffle fries and a side of spinach. For dessert, the caramel bread pudding. For drinks, the raspberry thyme, margarita, and gimlet. Each and every item was exceptional! As a courtesy, the kind manager gave us free drink vouchers for a nightcap at the bar. The Americano is run incredibly well with a caring, knowledgeable staff and a cool hip ambiance with black, white, and red atmosphere. It's always crowded which is proof that the restaurant is being appreciated as one of the new Stamford hits of 2023 and beyond.“

They also have really friendly and speedy service. The only issue is the bugs that are flying around when you eat so maybe it should be a bit cleaner but still giving 5 stars. “Very good food and beverages and our waitress guided me carefully through the menu to accommodate a gluten allergy. The daily oysters were fantastic, and we enjoyed the other items we ordered very much: fish tacos, vegetable salad, miso salmon, and a dry rose wine. Subtracting a star because we were forgotten for a while after being seated (more than 15 minutes) and then the bartender opened the door to take out the mats and garbage and left it open for a long time when it was below freezing outside. We froze and that ruined the romantic vibe.“
