“What refreshing little neighborhood cafe! It's nothing fancy and exactly what you want a free morning close to home. I didn't delve into the menu but trusted a friend who goes often and I wasn't disappointed! We shared the breakfast charcuterie board featuring Pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, Italian smoked sausage, cheese, tater tots and fried eggs. Add a couple of Americanos and we were set for a couple hours of great food and conversation. Have it there or get something to go and you'll get your day started right.“
“Stopped in one morning after a class at rowhouse. Clean place and there was a long line. The coffee is already made and pumped out (or take. From the chiller for the ice coffee). I got the pistachio which was pretty good. Also tried the ketogenic plant-based eggs. Not sure the brand. But it was Meh. The worker offered to add either chives, "cheese" or "bacon" bits, which was nice. I went with the chives. Glad I did, because not sure if it would have had any flavor otherwise. In short, go for the coffee...maybe they will expand their menu in the future. Some protein muffins, oatmeal or grits would be great...“
“I've been here a few times to grab croissants but it was our first time dining it and it was delicious! Very cozy and you can tell they have a lot of regular customers. The eggs benedict was amazing and their homemade biscuit was great. My husband got the chicken and waffles special and he loved it. We will definitely be coming back!“
“Quality of coffee: 4 - good espresso drinks. I've tried them a couple dozen times and they have become more consistent this past year or so. There are flavoring options like hazelnut etc. Coffee (black) is slightly above average. Atmosphere: 4.5 - great seating areas and nooks in a historic hotel. Usually, students are studying at the various tables. Location: 5 - heart of downtown within walking distance to hundreds of restaurants and great bus/train service. “Cafe 4 is a little hidden gem in Shelton! It’s tucked away in Tower 4 of the Corporate Enterprise Towers, and maybe it’s out of their control, but I think some signage down on the main road and right outside of the tower would really help to boost business. If you work in the towers, you should consider yourself lucky to have such a nice place for breakfast and lunch - I’m certainly jealous! The chicken cutlet on the club sandwich was so flavorful, and we were lucky to catch the chef’s award-winning chili verde that day, and it was DELICIOUS. It’s no surprise it was featured in Brian Baumgartner’s (Kevin from The Office) chili cookbook and has repeatedly won awards at The Meadowlands! The clam chowder and fish taco special were tasty too, and we loved the homemade vinaigrette and candied walnuts on the grilled chicken salad. If we had one critique, we thought that the burger was a bit well-done for our liking. The shortbread cookies we had for a treat were sooo good - served chilled and with a chocolate filling, my mom said they reminded her of Magic Middle’s from when she was a kid. Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to stop here too much because I’m not often off from work during the week, and they’re only open during the week, but I’ll try to make another visit when I can!“

“My gosh!!! The food here is amazing!!!!!!! I'm talking the freshest salads pilled high with any or all of the options ( there's a ton!) I actually felt healthier after eating here. You can tell they are using quality ingredients. Gluten free options galore. We got take out but they have indoor and outdoor dining. We are local but how lucky for the Rt 84 travelers that happen to get off the highway right there to gas up and eat. A healthy fresh meal on the road is hard to find. We were planning our son's first birthday party with an "Under the sea" theme. Well....I went to check things out. Amazing little bakery. I tried their canolis, custard cups and cream puffs before ordering anything! I figured if they were good then I'll order more! They were Delicious!!! Best ever!! Rui was a complete sweetheart and bounced ideas back and forth with us and would be our main contact through the owner. They were so sweet, reliable and made us trust they'd do a great job!! “Now, I never ever write reviews, as I’m just an easy-going, genuine girl who will say whatever she feels best in person, but after taking a single sip of my ‘Iced Peeps Latte’ made by the name ‘Emily’ on my receipt, or whoever the absolute sweetheart is working at 6:40 PM on 03/21/24, I could not go without writing this and making sure she gets her due credit. I have been a loyal customer to Plasko’s for as long as I can remember, having grown up right around the corner from here in Stratford, CT, and come in just about on a weekly basis now, and this coffee I just received is hands-down the best one I’ve ever tasted in my life. I’m the biggest coffee lover I know, and I just need my fellow customers and the admirable staff to know here that this amazing human being went above and beyond in her customer service skills, made me feel so welcomed and seen right away, took my order with care and letted me know that this was her first time making this seasonal drink yet as it just dropped on their menu today, and I just have to say they absolutely made it to pure perfection. Only reason didn't give 5 stars all around was atmosphere-more of a sports bar atmosphere not really my thing and not from the area so felt kinda like a newbie. Service was a bit slow but it was pretty busy. Fries were cold when I got them but they made a whole new huge batch and they were absolutely delicious! Best drink and food prices anywhere I've found! “Naugatuck Nutrition has definitely been a lifesaver in a town that has very little nutritional options and overpriced, mediocre-at-best takeout. Great for when you’re hungover, needing to curb a sweet craving, wanting a light lazy breakfast/lunch, or are feeling sick. Would I say that I agree with the use of Multi level marketing Herbalife? I definitely do not like that part and surely would be happier with a protein mix that includes whole food powders, and more nutrients. It’s understandable how many can see this as overpriced, however as someone who makes protein shakes at home regularly, the prices make sense. You are not only paying for a protein shake, but you are paying for something more indulgent and that’ll taste great, as well as the labor that goes into it. Rather than having one powder you have endless possibilities of flavor combinations and are buying time off of your hands. For me it’s between paying $8-$13 for a healthier meal replacement, or having to opt in to supporting businesses that make low quality, nutritionless food and charge twice that amount… or I cook for myself which I don’t always have time for! “I use to live in the neighborhood a few years back and this is the only bar I liked. I moved away 6 years ago but still go back there to eat whenever I'm in town. The drinks and food are great. The chef is not always there so call before you go if you want bar food. The Cheese fries with bacon are my fave. Bang for your buck :) Friendly staff.“
“Despite being a quintessential dive bar with its dark interior ensconsing four booths, four tables, and the ubiquitous twenty foot bar, there is a quirky charm to this place. There are four modern televisions, an atm, a jukebox, popcorn machine, and the place is well kept. Food prices are reasonable if not cheap (1/2 lb burger $10, 10 buffalo wings $10). The stuffed clams are superb. Kelly and Vinny (in photo) were very helpful and friendly.“
