“I was so happy I decided to try this spot! I really enjoyed my chicken with broccoli Combination platter. It came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The rice was delicious. The chicken was tender and moist. The broccoli was cooked to the perfect texture. I usually have to add soy sauce to my rice. I didn’t have to add anything. This food was bursting with flavor. I also had the wonton soup. It was good the crispy noodles that come with it we’re good This made me want to try different things Next time I go oh yes, there will be a next time.

“First time ordering here but we were all tired & no one wanted to cook & this was nearby. I was scared to order after reading some of these reviews. But we were all pleasantly surprised. Yes it’s standard Chinese fare but it was good. There was a lot of meat in every dish we ordered (Lo Mein, chicken chow Mein, pork fried rice, sweet & sour chicken) and it was perfectly cooked. I didn’t care for the fried wontons but everyone else liked them. Wonton soup had plenty of wontons and was yummy. Loved the sweet & sour chicken - very lightly fried so it wasn’t heavy & dull. We all voted we would go here again.“

“I have to say of all the places I’ve had sweet n sour chicken this one had the best sauce. It’s thick enough to not pour off the chicken when either dipped or poured on top of. It actually sticks to the chicken. However it’s been hit or miss with the chicken in the same meal. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes way over cooked. The white rice isn’t pasty like little chopsticks is. It’s decent in comparison. They also have good donuts… I know not really gonna go to a Chinese food place for the donuts but… still a nice sweet treat.“

The food is great and unlike most other Chinese restaurants the portions haven’t decreased, price although higher than before but not significantly. If you order online you can use a credit card if you wait until you get your order in person you will need cash. I travel 45 minutes to get my Chinese food from them because they are that good!“

“We have been going to Imperial Wok for many years. The food is well seasoned and delish. The owner is friendly and remembers my name each time we visit. We moved to NC 6 years ago and everytime we come to CT to visit, we stop here to bring food back with us to NC. That's how good it is.“

Everyone ate, everyone enjoyed! The sushi was delicious! I called the night before to pick up the next afternoon. I prdered a platter that they said was for two. But you get quite a few rolls! It's a mix of cooked rolls and raw ones. I ordered a sweet potato roll on the side. You get soup or salad as well. So i got two salads. I paid over phone. I picked up and everything was ready for me. Packaged well, with little dishes for individual soy sauce dipping. The platter had ginger and Wasabi. It was a beautiful spread. Fresh and tasty. The interior was clean and bright. They have a Japanese menu and a Chinese menu. The lady that ha did it to me was so nice. She had settled my order already so I couldn't give a tip. So next time I'm up this way, I will certainly make up for that! What a great eatery.“

“My fave Chinese takeout spot in West Haven! I've ordered from Lucky Kitchen several times, and the food is delicious every time. The prices are unbeatable- tons of lunch specials for under $10. The man at the counter is always super friendly, too. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great takeout place.

The girl who answered the phone was super friendly, and the delivery guy was genuinely happy, great energy all around and I love that lol. And they had our food at the door in under ten minutes. “Usually this is my go-to place for Chinese takeout. I’ve always found their food flavorful and reasonably priced. Last night I ordered vegetable chow mein, expecting noodles (as pictured in my Google search). Mein literally means noodles. So I was surprised and disappointed when I received this bowl of bland, limp vegetables, and no noodles at all. When I called the restaurant they told me that chow mein doesn’t have noodles; if I wanted noodles I should have ordered lo mein. I did some research and apparently this is a regional thing, though not - after surveying my other east coast friends - all that widespread. Anyway, I was disappointed and I’m thinking of taking my business somewhere else. I did give four stars because of past experiences, but I wanted to give a heads up to anyone looking for noodles in their noodles dish.“
