The knowledgeable staff is always warm and welcoming with a smile and conversation. A top notch eatery that I have no qualms going out of my way for and would highly recommend that everybody try Sonny's.”

“We were driving up to the Boston area and everyone got hungry so we looked for a place right off the highway and this is what came up. It was a fantastic stop because it didn’t set us back even 10 minutes - perfect location. When we pulled up we were honestly skeptical and warned the kids it may not be like home (we are NYers) but the pizza was SOOOOOO YUMMY. Some of the best we have had. The kids chicken fingers/fries order was large enough to feed 3 people and also excellent. This is a classic case of don’t judge a book by its cover - a MUST EAT location.”

“Stopped in for the first time tonight, and we will definitely be repeat customers. We had the chicken bao bun appetizer, French onion chicken dinner & NY strip dinner. The only thing better than the food and cocktails was the service! Everyone who worked there was friendly and very welcoming. Loved every minute of our experience!”

“Food is excellent! Used to be an Oriental Gourmet in Southbury customer but switched because the quality and taste of their food degraded so much within the last year or so and never got better. Plus errors with take out orders were the last straw. Fortune House is definitely worth the trip from Southbury to Southford! Highly recommend this restaurant!”

“Great pizza! Tried the veal parmigiana tonight. Loved it. The sauce was incredible and the homemade pasta was a complete surprise 😍. Then...the apple tart for dessert was over the top. Everything was amazing. Great service - Sarah made our night. Thanks for everything!”

“It's been 11 years since my last review. I've been coming to Senor Ponchos when this restaurant was located in Monroe CT. I still enjoy visiting. This past Labor Day weekend was more of the fun and family friendly vibe they're known for. The menu is updated slowly since my last review. Tacos and Tuesday is a large focus of their fare. I had my usual shrimp chimichanga dish and it was pleasing. Cloth napkins are back and the welcoming dish of nachos and salsa is a constant. Walking through the bar to the patio may not be ideal, but that's the way the building is configured. The last few times I've been there, we've been seated in the main restaurant. It's alive but noisy because its a family destination. The drink menu has expanded into its own menu along with the prices $$. Running restaurants in this challenging inflationary business environment must have its challenges in 2025. So it was good to see they're still thriving while maintaining a predictable pricing strategy.
It's a nice they choose to use 40% recycle to-go containers that are secure and easily microwavable. The one problem is there is no recycle stamp anywhere on the lid. I had to look up what was printed on the container to figure out it's composition. I hope a lot of those don't get thrown in the garbage instead of the recycling bin. Keep coming.”

“i’ve been searching for a new go go sandwich spot in southbury - got a little sick of the other stuff around - this place did not disappoint!!! they took my order quick cashed me out and i only waited about 4 min for my sandwich!!! really REALLY good chicken salad … the bacon was not fatty or cold or old tasting like it sat out - fresh lettuce and tomato - clearly fresh rolls … i will be back asap!!!”

“I’ve been a fan and customer of Villarina’s Southbury for many years for far too many reasons to list ... but the most important one is the owners who are family and treat everyone like family!❤️ This is a quick review to say YUMMMM!!! Before the “stay at home” order went into effect, I stocked up on their frozen dinners and lots of pasta sauce. Always love having these in our house and especially so now. We recently tried the frozen linguine w/white clam sauce I had picked up. It was our first time for this dinner and WOW! It was fabulous. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. It’s not something I typically eat but loved it. We’ll add it to our list of things to pick-up. Thanks as always!!!”

“3rd. Time at Mercato. Food is good. Problem is the music! If you want to eat and relax, forget it! If you are 15 and like loud disco type music, this is your place. They need some relaxing jazz, Opera, Sinatra etc. However picked the music for an Italian Restaurand, knows nothing about a relaxing atmosphere!!!!”
