The knowledgeable staff is always warm and welcoming with a smile and conversation. A top notch eatery that I have no qualms going out of my way for and would highly recommend that everybody try Sonny's.”

“I don’t know what they changed, but suddenly their pizza is out of this world! I have been eating at Miranda’s for 25 years. It has always been good food quality, But I don’t know if they got a new chef or changed the recipe, but the pizza is Travel worthy, meaning is worth driving an hour. The staff is wonderful. The building is old, but they have remodeled it and it kind of adds to the atmosphere.”

“Food is excellent! Used to be an Oriental Gourmet in Southbury customer but switched because the quality and taste of their food degraded so much within the last year or so and never got better. Plus errors with take out orders were the last straw. Fortune House is definitely worth the trip from Southbury to Southford! Highly recommend this restaurant!”

“Hands-down the best Italian food I have ever had—and I do not say that lightly. I would absolutely drive 8 hours just to eat here again. That’s how good it was. I started with the burrata appetizer, served with baby arugula, fire-roasted red peppers, and prosciutto. Fresh, creamy, perfectly balanced. For entrées, I had the linguini with veal meatballs and I also tried the pan-seared scallops over cheese ravioli, with baby spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and wild mushrooms. This dish alone deserves its own standing ovation. This is the kind of place that reminds you what really good Italian food is supposed to taste like. So if you’re anywhere near Southbury or honestly anywhere in Connecticut, go. And if you’re 8 hours away like me? Still go. It’s worth it”

“This deli is a HUGE asset to Southbury and neighboring towns. While food costs are rising and portions and quality is dropping, somehow some way Heritage Deli has kept their prices low and the quality is unmatched in the area. My favorite is the chicken, quinoa and sweet potato bowl - it is incredible - and I always have enough for two meals - at $8.50!!!
My husband gets the Tuscan Chicken sandwich also delicious and incredibly reasonable

“To reviewer tmG9470YS - I think you have reviewed the wrong bakery. Our bakery is spotless, all our baked goods are baked fresh and we don't even use the dumpsters (we dont want to attract bears). So I don't know where you went and a found a dirty bakery and found box mixes in the dumpsters it was not Southbury Baking Company. It must have been another local bakery. “I had another bakery unable to complete my cake and cupcake order for my daughter's birthday. The Bakery of Southbury took my last minute order and the cake was beautiful. I requested zoo animals and it was perfect and tasted amazing. The cupcakes were also delicious. Thank you!”

We've eaten our way from coast to coast and this is my far the greatest hero, grinder, sandwich whatever you want to call it. We will never be getting a grinder anywhere else. They need some relaxing jazz, Opera, Sinatra etc. However picked the music for an Italian Restaurand, knows nothing about a relaxing atmosphere!!!!”

“I do a lot of corporate catering for my Business meetings and though I do like PANERA, I feel in recent years the service and quality has suffered, but today I met an amazing manager at the Southbury, Connecticut location named Paige She was kind, empathetic, smart efficient, and worked with me on a last-minute change when most Panera managers would have said no she was even shorthanded that day as she was working the line with her coworkers like a great leader and still stopped to help me with a last-minute change to my order that experience will have me coming back. Paige was awesome.”
