We ordered Simmered Shitake mushrooms, Lucky Pink Radish, and smashed spicy cucumbers and all were amazing. We also ordered Yaya Balls which are deep fried octopus. The shrimp stir fried with vegetables in kung pao sauce were really fresh and perfectly cooked and the vegetables were still crispy. The crunchy water chestnuts were a nice touch. They don't use heavy gloopy sauces. The hot and sour soup was also a pleasant surprise. It was perfectly balanced with vinegar and some heat from chilis and had lots of fresh mushrooms and shredded bamboo shoots. Most of their business seems to be take-out. Don't be dissuaded by the appearances from the outside. We tried four different dishes and they were all hits. I will definitely be back!“

Tiger Bowl is a small, intricately designed Chinese Restaurant located on the Southport-Westport border on Post Rd next to Michael's and Village Bagels.

The service is impeccable service is unmatched but the food is what takes this place to the next level. There are dozens of Asian Restaurants in the area, but the freshness, and unique combination of herbs, spices and cooking techniques makes Tiger Bowl stand out.

The fried chicken delights(IE Sesame, General Tso, Lemon, Orange, etc) are unlike your standard chinese fair. Unlike other restaurants the crispy fried chicken is crispy on the outside, but magically soft in texture on the inside. There is a certain fluff to the inside of the chicken, almost similar to a corn dog batter. The soups are perfect for a cold winter's day, and the beef dishes shine as well. My only critique is with the bonelesss ribs and spare ribs. Thought cooked nicely the sauce is a bit heavy and way too sweet.

In an area oversaturated with restaurants this is THE Go-To for delicious Chinese food for the whole family. They currently do not allow guests to dine in(thanks Covid) but are available for takeout and delivery 7 days a week.“
