The food....beef empanada and queso birria tacos with consume....ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! the empanada was crispy, meaty and served with a delish sauce. The tacos were PACKED with meat, had incredible flavor and the consume....well lets just say ...can I get a consume IV....truly THE BEST I've ever had.“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !“

It is also unfortunate that wine could not be enjoyed with our meal, a neighborhood thing we were told. If coming during a cold winter night don’t forget to dress extra warm, a warm cozy atmosphere wasn’t present…..but our food was the best I have had in Wilmington.“

The owner came over to make sure we were enjoying everything and couldn’t have been any nicer. The pizza is very good and my daughter loved the cheesesteak. “Years ago, and long before we retired and hit the road, we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation to Vedge while in Philadelphia. So when we heard that a sister restaurant opened in historic Dillworthtown we were excited. While back in the Philadelphia area, we finally visited to celebrate a birthday. While not a place we can routinely visit due to the cost, it was an outstanding place for a celebration. Everything from talking to the owners to the food was excellent. The building was charming, the staff was great, and the food was elevated and amazing. We could not have asked for a better night. We definitely recommend visiting. We suggest making a reservation since it was busy during our visit on a weekday.“

“Was at the Concordville Outback for a birthday dinner. Food was good as always; but our server Francine was outstanding!
She was attentive, polite, friendly and very excellent in service. I wish they had an "outstanding server of the year" competition because she would win.“

“This is our go-to place for Mexican takeout in Kennett Square. We regularly get the special meat burrito with lomo (seasoned shredded pork), burrito with asada, and chicken quesadilla. The huaraches and enchiladas are also really good. All meals come with a ton of food. They give you little hot sauce containers and limes to go with your meal. There’s a small eating area where you often find people dining, but we typically to takeout because we order during the week and the food travels well. They’re always really quick when we call; about 15 minutes and the food is ready.

The owner is almost always the one who answers the phone and greets you when you come in. You can tell that he cares about his restaurant and making his customers happy, and you can feel good that you’re supporting a small local business, not a big chain. (If you happen to be helped by someone other than the owner, like a moody teen, don’t let it put you off).

The prices are reasonable, especially considering how much food you get.

One note: PAY CASH or you’ll be charged a credit card fee that they don’t even tell you about. This is the one complaint I have about this place. I know that many businesses are now doing this, but there are no signs in the restaurant warning of this fee and if you tell them you’re paying by card, they type a higher amount into the credit card machine without telling you.

The small parking lot could definitely be repaved and the building looks a little iffy in its lighting and placement among car repair shops and an apartment construction site, but it all adds to the feeling that you’ve found a hidden gem.

Parking: Not too many spots, but I’ve never found it totally full. Pavement is bumpy with lots of holes.“

“It was really good! I LOVE a good Cheese Plate, and I got a Great cheese plate! I also got the Foie Gras Burger. I hadn't had foie gras before, so I thought it was pretty cool that I could try it at a place that wasn't a high-end French restaurant. It was pretty good! I enjoyed all of the food there. next to a door that was constantly being opened to the outside world and it blasted cold air at me.

They also tried to charge me $29.99 for this “lobster” roll (and I use that term loosely). You can’t in good conscience tell me that this coleslaw concoction is more than 5% lobster. It’s potato chips and coleslaw on a tiny hot dog bread.

The burgers are solid.“
