“Coolest place to dock your boat. One stop set up. Baitstore eating and docking. Harvey is a cool dude. Stop in and ask for him. Super nice and helpful. We tore the trout up. Best fishing weekend. Made it easy with being able to use a private boat ramp and park your trailer and truck at the marina.“
“Quisiera expresar mi gratitud hacia nuestro mesero ANDREI por su excelente servicio durante nuestra visita. Su atención fue impecable, siempre atento a nuestras necesidades y brindando recomendaciones acertadas. Su amabilidad y profesionalismo hicieron que nuestra experiencia fuera aún más placentera. ¡Gracias por hacer de nuestra comida una experiencia memorable!"“
“Always stopped by every time I come in town to see my parents . Nice groups of people, great service, great food and drinks menu selections, and nice outdoor seatings. Highly recommended booking a reservation for a group of 2 or more. They also make the best chocolate martini in town!“
“We each had the lobster roll which came with lobster bisque and we loved both. Big chunks of lobster in the bisque! Fresh bread and butter was great for dipping. And what a value at $28 each! Indoor or outdoor seating with great views of Sarasota Bay.“
“It was fine. For a restaurant on an island near the sea, I would expect more variety in seafood dishes. The taste of the protein was good, I would expect an improvement in the presentation of the companions, the phenomenal service, the person in charge of the bar is great. It is a cozy place. The place has a lot of potential. The baguette [bread] is delicious. ?“
“I wanted to be able to give a higher rating as the food, the location and overall vibe here is amazing. An art deco culinary experience in one of the most serene settings in Florida. However, the service staff, in particular our server was beyond terrible. A foul attitude and no professional server skills whatsoever. From the fact that she never asked my wife and I if we wanted another drink, to not giving us a kids menu even though we came with our 18 month old.The restaurant has a beautiful waterfront walkway and so my wife and I went to take pictures. Instead of understanding that this is common for guests to do, our server thought we were leaving entirely and chased us down. Why don’t toy worry if we have enough to drink or are ordering dessert instead of thinking we were just leaving. To the management, you need to address a cancer to your business with servers like this. Just terrible and if we’re do go back I worked refuse to be served by this amateur with a terrible attitude and no ability to understand what professional hospitality means.“
“This is a small establishment with limited seating both inside and out. You order at the counter from very pleasant staff. The food was absolutely excellent and perhaps the best sandwiches we have ever had. Fries and kettle chips were also perfect. Large portions and reasonable prices will definitely make return.“
“After seeing such good reviews and pictures of food that was well-presented, I decided to overlook the sports bar ambience and give it a shot. Sadly, though, it didn’t live up to the hype. The sliders were bland and cold, and it seems like they garnish everything with cornishons (which I happen to love; it’s just not unique if it’s on every item). The bruschetta was great. The octopus was good, but only a single tentacle. We all just felt it was a bit overpriced for the ambience and overall flavor. Presentation, however, was excellent. I think I overheard another server saying they were short staffed, so maybe that affected the quality that night.“
“We tried Vernona Gourmet - Authentic Hungarian Restaurant earlier this week and we were very impressed and happy with the whole experience. Definitely in the rotation now. I have a new favorite comfort food now too - chicken paprikash - yum!!“
“Well this is our first time here but our captains been here several times since highly recommended. Arriving around 10 o'clock results in about a half hour wait that's a guesstimate there's six on the waitlist right now. But it moves quickly. My better half Peggy is browsing the menu Likes all the options if you can't find something then you need to go someplace else they have something for everybody. Menu has a variety of options. Will be back.“
“We love the peanut butter pie. Our favourite. Be good to offer one with oreo crust. Next best is the orange cake. It is awesome! The chocolate is also awesome and so is the strawberry. However the lemon is flavourless. Customer service could improve...the young girl serving us was always in a hurry, and one time refused to accommodate us with orange cake slices even though there were orange cakes in the fridge that could have been sliced up. It was 2 in the afternoon, so still a lot of time to sell more orange cake slices the rest of the day. A big however.....coffee is Kureg but u r charged barista pricing!!! Signifying this would b upfront as I find it deceiving and a rip off.“
“In plaza in downtown Palmetto next to Walmart. It is noisy but it is a sportsbar. Has games, darts, and pool. My husband and I usually sit at the bar and no matter how busy they get our service has always been superb! Food is delicious, and great selection of beer. Definitely do the garlic cheese curds! I like the burgers and Jaxx chicken sandwich as well. Reasonably priced for quality of food. I would prefer a leaf of lettuce rather than shredded but that is just my personal preference.Parking: depending on time of day or night parking can be a challenge but for the most part we always get a spot.Kid-friendliness: a few games for kids and it is loud so no worries bringing the kiddos“
“everything is wonderful ! we had lunch there, ordered the Brussel sprouts(a must) the bao bao buns and the chicken Tikka also a goat cheese pie for dessert. every single thing was perfect ! our server Ethan was great, very attentive and knowledgeable about every item. ! will definitely go back !“
“Beautiful decor and ambiance embrace you at Sage restaurant. I was eyeing this place for months. Would it stand up to my expectations?Started out the evening on the rooftop bar with a fireplace. The bar was casual, mostly covered, and nice.Surrounded by family, lifelong friends, and new acquaintances, we celebrated my 50th birthday! When we walked into the restaurant, the "air" filled with beautiful music from a solo violinist. He played soulful modern tunes, which encapsulated the memories. The Thai Bouillabaisse and Porter house steak were a MUST! The porter house steak was HUGE. More than enough to feed two. My only wish was a side of risotto, less butter, and more vegetables. Otherwise, the steak was cooked to pure perfection.Honorable mentions were Seared Halibet with Wasabi Plumb Sauce and Yakisiba Noodles with grilled chicken.Thank you to the Sage restaurant for cooking up a wonderful 50th birthday ?“
“Must have been an off night. We heard the bacon wrapped scallops were good and fresh. We ordered them and unfortunately they were small and dry. Everyone else at the table tried different burgers. They were good and the portions were very generous.“
“At first was not sure about this place, but after the food came I realized why this thing has a great review. Food is home style and amazing. Home made sausage has a slight hint of spice. I ordered the Brave and it was delicious.I love that it say No WiFi.You are here to eat and not do your computer work.“
“We love this place!…the food and ambience are fantastic!, plus the service is first rate!…In fact we had the same server we had last May when we were here on vacation and she remembered us!, now that we will be living down here, definitely will be eating there a lot more!…If you want great home cooked food, with Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free options, this is the place to go!!!“
“Beautiful restaurant on the pier with stunning water/bridge views. Great service, delicious food! There are shore birds who patrol for food scraps and I commend the staff for trying to keep them at bay. If you would be bothered by them, eat inside. We didn't mind.Parking: The chances of parking near the restaurant are slim. Drop handicap persons off as you will probably have to find parking in town or a side street. Be prepared to walk. Better yet, Uber.“
“Great mom and pop restaurant. Amazing home cooking and a quaint little place. If the weather is nice, you can sit out back on the patio and watch the kayakers fall in the basin. Do not leave without getting a cup of the soup of the day. Zesty cauliflower, beer cheese, and loaded baked potato are some of my favorites. This is where the locals eat.“
“Can’t say enough about the wonderful time we had here! Sat at a table in the sand near the dock and loved it! Our waitress was so friendly and nice and the food was excellent! We took our son and his wife & 3 children and they all agreed it was the best time! We’ll be back!“
“A gem hiding in plain sight!! First visit, but more to come! Really good food, friendly staff! The menu is eclectic, a broad variety of foods including crepes ( sweet or savory)! Can't wait to go back again soon!I had the Patty melt served with truffle oil fries, and my friend had the grilled fish with truffle oil fries. And the freshest Crab Rangoon I have ever tastedThey also have a wide variety of specialty coffees.“
“The waitress' were very helpful & accomodating for our large group with 5 kids. The food was reasonably priced & good-sized portions! The seating was a little cramped, but we knew going in that it was going to be a tight fit since the place was described as a "nook" in the description I read beforehand. Also, it seems like most places on the island are kind of tight fits anyways!“
“Had a dinner meeting with a colleague from NC. Beautiful location to show off our town. Dinner was good. I enjoyed the grouper artichoke gratin. I was disappointed in the 1976 salad. The old Pier Restaurant used to serve a similar salad, but this one was lacking.Parking: Up close parking is difficult due to the reserved Marina parking. The parking garage is a block down the street.“
“The First Watch in downtown Sarasota is the one I’m reviewing. I’ve had mostly good experiences here. The food is good and although it can be kind of noisy, the atmosphere is pleasant. The million dollar bacon and bloody maries are both first rate. I’ve had two really bad experiences here and the last one might mark the end of my relationship with this restaurant. If you go on a weekday morning you’ll probably be fine. If you go on a weekend morning, you’re playing Russian roulette with your dining experience. Some of the wait staff are good or at least average. The problem is that nearly half of the wait staff don’t know what they’re doing. The first bad experience I had was with a waitress who didn’t speak English well enough to take our order. She was a really nice person, but if you need help taking an order, you shouldn’t be a waitress in the busy section of a restaurant. She also brought the bill with our food. The restaurant has a policy of bringing the check halfway through your meal that incentivizes the wait staff to turn tables over. It’s a really bad policy. The last time I ate there (possibly ever?) we had a waiter who was so bad at his job, we stopped eating and left halfway through the meal. He brought the check with the food, got both of our orders wrong, and couldn’t figure out how to bring the person I was eating with a black coffee. Mind you, this guy had the largest section on a Saturday morning. My advice: if you want something decent on a weekday, go ahead and give First Watch a try; if you like sure things or it’s a weekend, go to Boulevard Cafe, Station 400, or C’est La Vie. They all have better food and service.“
“This is THE SPOT. Wow! Their famous Chicken and biscuit was so delicious, juicy and flavorful. Home fries….yes! Kids had Mickey Mouse pancakes and yes, I snuck a few bites. Also one of the few places with a good coffee menu…thank goodness! Espresso Freddo (cold) hit the spot on a hot day. Service was 100%.“
“My favorite bar is Sarasota/Bradenton. The food reminds me of back home in Pennsylvania. The people remind me of a combination of the best people from the Eagles, Moose, and Elks combined with a family reunion of my favorite family members. I love this place.“
“I like the sandwiches and hot meals they have but the aged steaks are far better quality than anything you will find at Publix.I’m not sure where the beef comes from but it’s next level. The sausages they offer are really good. (Italian brats hotdogs.) all very good. Great place. Scott I think is the owner and is a really kind gentleman.“
“Love the bagels, sandwiches, and the Juniors cheesecake! I grew up in downtown Brooklyn going to the original Junior's Restaurant & I am so happy that I can pick up the cheesecake in my Bradenton, Florida neighborhood! Very nice & helpful customer service. ❤“
“A Pleasurable Dining Experience at R.J. Gator’s Restaurant in Bradenton, FL Rating: 4 out of 5 stars We just went to visit to R.J. Gator’s Restaurant in Bradenton, FL and it was an overall pleasurable dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, I was captivated by the restaurant’s neat and inviting atmosphere, accompanied by an awesome menu that delighted my taste buds. R.J.’s has done an exceptional job in creating a welcoming environment. The restaurant was clean, and the tastefully neat decor contributed to a cozy and comfortable ambiance. I found myself instantly relaxed and ready to enjoy a fantastic meal. Speaking of the menu, R.J.’s certainly knows how to impress. The array of options available was remarkable, showcasing a diverse range of culinary delights. I was delighted to find both familiar favorites and unique dishes that piqued my curiosity. Each bite I took was a testament to the chef’s skill and dedication, as the food was undeniably yummy. In addition to the delectable flavors, Gator’s also excelled in providing reasonable prices and generous portions. I felt that the value for money was excellent, and the portion sizes were more than satisfactory. It was evident that R. J.’s takes pride in ensuring their customers are satisfied both in terms of taste and quantity. While my experience was largely positive, I did encounter a minor setback with the service. The waitress seemed slightly inattentive during my visit, which occasionally required me to seek her attention multiple times. However, this did not overshadow the overall excellence of the restaurant. In conclusion, Gator’s Restaurant in Bradenton, FL offers a delightful dining experience. The neat atmosphere, awesome menu, and delicious food combine to create a memorable visit. Despite a minor issue with the service, I wholeheartedly recommend here for anyone seeking a satisfying meal in a cozy setting!!“
“An early dinner outside on the patio admiring the beauty of nature all around us! Picture perfect! Food was excellent. Generous and perfectly cooked salmon topped a fresh Caesar salad. Lovely triggerfish on spinach and rice, yummy cocktails and hummus appetizer. We enjoyed the entire experience.“
“Always great food. This time we had the caprese board and burgers. My 9yr old daughter loved the blackberry fojito and ate almost her whole burger. Our server was great and we finished with the lava cake. It is always a bit loud, but still great atmosphere.“
“First time today. Went on my lunch break for work and ordered the Reuben. It’s pretty good! I can’t wait to try more sandwiches! Philly cheese steak next time. This place is super affordable as well. Also, family owned, which I love. I’ll be a repeat customer for sure.“
“This place is to die for! I have multiple food allergies and our waitress was amazing. She accommodated all my needs, and the chef prepared all my course’s with care! Definitely, one of the best restaurants and meals I’ve had that accommodated all my dietary restrictions. Nothing but amazing things I can say! Definitely a must visit when in Anna Maria!“
“Stopped in for a quick snack and drink after a REALLY brisk stroll on the Riverwalk. So happy we did!! Great food, happy hour and sweet Sam did NOT disappoint!! Had I not needed to use the facilities (absolutely LOVED that the key was attached to the grandma stockpot SPOON ?), I would have NEVER known it was attached to a whole little mini mall with the cutest stores!! Oh my goodness... Who KNEW?! What's NOT to love?! What a treat--we will definitely come back ❤️!! Such a fun afternoon...“
“Place was nice and food was good but good but you stand in a long line thinking you are waiting to be seated but you are only waiting to put your name in. Then after waiting at least 30 minutes to put your name in, you have to wait another 30 -45 minutes to get your food. Was not happy with that. You also have to find your own table.“
“Went there for New Year's Eve. Everything was exceptional. From the time we arrived around 9, until we closed the place down after midnight. The greeting was friendly. Got a great table. Service by Brodie (sp) was exceptional. She was there when we needed something as if she had a 6th sense. The food was as good as I’ve had in a while. The mussels had the best broth I can remember. The grouper plicata was an unusual and tasty dish. The espresso martini was excellent. The band. Donnie Bostic, was professional, fun and entertaining. We love to dance and they put out a great dance beat. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.“
“OFFICIALLY the best breakfast in town!!! FRESH FOOD COOKED TO PERFECTION!!! I cannot express enough to the cooks hostess and especially our waitress Payton!! (Sorry if I spelt it wrong) such a amazing waitress!!!! She needs a raise for sure!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE KEEP BEING AMAZING!!!“
“Everything was perfect except for our wings. They seemed a bit overcooked and 2 weren't edible. We didn't address it with them. I'm surprised they would bring this out in the first place. We also had a wedge salad, shrimp flatbread, and shrimp and grits. All were excellent.“
“I had a great time there, especially listening to Koko Ray. His song choices were perfect, and his volume was great. It was so nice to be able to eat and have a conversation, while listening to a great performer. Hopefully, one day they will allow me to perform there.“
“Gorgeous brunch place with a calming atmosphere and attentive, straightforward service. My Buffalo Chicken Wrap was plated nicely and eased my craving in an instant. My girlfriend's Chocolate Chip Waffle was presented beautifully as well. Wonderful place overall ✨“
“We went in early December on a weeknight, we made a reservation, it turned out. It wasn’t really that busy, about half full perhaps. We were seated immediately at an intimate table near the window in the far room room. Very quaint dining room. Formal. Our waiter was very attentive. We got a bottle of wine. It was a small kitchen out in the dining room, where they would prepare Caesar salad and some flambé dishes. My wife’s cousin recommended this place, the duck was highly recommended, I had it, and it was absolutely delicious. After dinner, we went upstairs to the separate dessert room and got a great presentation on the desserts that they had that night. I had the Keylime pie. It was delicious. A little Baileys on the rocks has a nightcap.“
“We are in town visiting family and came here. I was a bit disappointed in the food.We hadAjillo fillet (very good)Thai nugs (skip these)Pecan grouperThai grouper (this was a specual)CuippinoChips and ranch (very good)Corn muffins. (Very good)The Ajillo was tender and cooked well. The Thai seasoning was really goodSkip the nugs as they were over cooked and chewy. Not great.Thai grouper as the special was really good. Probably the best dish we had.The cuipinno was fine but the class were over cooked. Too bad.The pecan grouper was good. The asparagus was overcooked so it wasn't great. The grouper was awesome tho.The service was great and friendly.“
“A busy Saturday morning, at such a fantastic establishment, you can expect a wait, but it is well worth it. Hands down the best breakfast we've ever had, outside of my own kitchen! The brioche French toast was light and fluffy, the option to get real maple syrup is a perfect pairing. The apple wood smoked bacon is absolutely fantastic. Veggie omelette, was so delicious and full of veggies! The home fried potatoes are seasoned and cooked perfectly. My absolute favorite was the marble rye toast, the most delicious bread I've ever had. And our server Ken was great!“
“Excellent service, good food and great view from the deck.My elderly mother passed out on the way out of the restaurant. The manager and her wait staff were very helpful during this emergency. After the manager called 911 for us, she helped with the 9 month old baby in our party while I helped my mother. She stuck with us until the ambulance arrived. The staff were also clam and helpful with comfort measures like ice and cold cloths. Me and my family were grateful for their assistance in our time of need.Wheelchair accessibility: Two long ramps. Should have brought the wheelchair instead of the walker“
“We had a Birthday celebration there late this afternoon. Everything went very well. We had a party of 21. Everyone food was served at the same time. We had 2 waiters.which was fantastic! Very attentive. The cheddar biscuits always served hot. We was very much so satisfied.“
“The fries were out of this World !!! Customer service 5 stars ! Quick and delicious!Amazing food ! The Owner makes his own spice blends , sauces and sour cream this is a perfect spot for a delicious meal. I recommend the quesadilla. This is a can’t miss Sarasota Gem !!! Best of the Best !!!Dietary restrictions: Ask for dietary restrictionsKid-friendliness: Kid friendly modifications allowed“
“Great food and pleasant staff! The last couple times we've been here they appeared to be short on waiters which made service a bit slower...but that's everywhere these days. Otherwise always enjoyable!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair available entrances.“
“Awesome fresh food options, welcoming, friendly staff who treats you like family. Everything comes quickly and it's a great place for a quick bite or to chill out and lounge. They even have a coffee bar and Wi-Fi. Very kid friendly too.“
“For this trade I'm going to do a totally different review from the ones I usually do over the years traveling through almost 20 countries. Talking about the food of this place is not necessary because the fact that the tables are always full already says for itself about the quality of the dishes, but there is what I believe due consideration is that the way the owner of the establishment treats his employees and customers, a delicacy and politeness that I shouldn’t be highlighting here because it should be the way of everyone should act, but we know that unfortunately it isn’t what we see occurring always, so my congrats for this polite man who makes his employees feel respected! Cheers!?“
“Recommended on a FB Anna Maria Island Life page….. they were sooo right! Walking in you can clearly see they truly have bait and clean fish there. Very casual and super quaint. The Grouper sandwich came highly recommended. We’ve been eating them all week at different restaurants and every year we come down on different parts of the Gulf. This one ranks at the top! Our waitress explained “he” catches, cleans, fillets and hand breads each fillet. There is a different type of breading for each type of fish according to the type. Gotta try if you want fresh grouper done right!“
