“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“

“We had a 65th anniversary party there this past weekend. The staff was very accommodating! We forgot a few things we needed for decorating and they were eager and willing to help us out. The food and service was great! I know if is hard to accommodate a large party and everything go well but it was perfect. The food was hot, delicious and the portion size was good. I would not hesitate to recommend them for a large group gathering! Thanks to all of the staff!“

The food was outstanding! I got the the nachos w/ brisket. The nachos are not tortilla chips as most are. They were thinly slice potatoes with a bbq chip seasoning. Delicious!! My wife got a crispy chicken Cobb salad. My son got the Chicken Ovation, highly recommended by the server! Great choice!

“We went for the all you can eat fish fry on Friday. It was amazing. The fish was very light and breaded to perfection. The french fries were also very tasty if you’re looking for somewhere to go on a Friday night in Lake Wales, you can’t go wrong with fish fry Fridays“

“I preordered food through Door Dash for a pickup and arrived at the restaurant when it was convenient for me. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, they greeted me, helped with a quick pickup and helped me with the food on the way out. The food itself tasted fresh and was extremely flavorful. We will definitely come back to try their milkshake selection.“

“Me and my sister came specifically for the art and crafts shop (I am personally an artist🤭 ) anyways loved the atmosphere and it was a beautiful spot to watch the sunset and get some food and drinks! Next time I will be sipping a 21+ drink while I paint and I want to look at the candle making shop and everything else they have to offer as well! But all in all from my first experience it’s a wonderful spot for photo shoots, an arts and crafts spot, or simply just lunch at a scenic view!“

“Tantrums food truck was at Front Page Brewery in Bartow and we weren’t going to get anything we brought pizza but I kept smelling the food so we got the shrimp and grits. Best decision of my life! I love shrimp and grits but this is a different take on it. It was absolutely delicious! Like how did this come off a food truck! The crispy grits cakes the bacon peppers and onions the shrimp cooked perfectly! Can’t wait for them to come back!“
