“Brick is an oasis in an otherwise dearth of downtown lunch options. The specials are always on point and varied. The staff is super friendly and very efficient. Doing over 100 lunches daily in this tiny little place without making customers have to wait more than maybe 5 minutes for your food is quite impressive! My only complaint is that I wish they were open on Saturdays so that I don't have to blindly wander the downtown streets in desperate search for a decent lunch.“

These people see me at least 4x a week and are so nice, caring, funny, and very personable. They make grest coffee & lattes! Forget Starbucks, Elianoes, Dutch Bros., Southern Grounds, & Foxtail. THIS is the place for great & AFFORDABLE coffee! They're LGBTQ+ inclusive too! I love this place & these people! And hey, they actually have a TEACHER DISCOUNT here! Only thing that was kind of annoying was the music went to an extreme level towards the end of the night when it became more of a club atmosphere. It wasn't a deterrent, but just something we noticed. Overall, a great spot in Jacksonville for date night or a birthday celebration. We'll definitely be back!“

“We stumbled on this place last night because we needed to go somewhere to wait for my daughter to get out of a concert. Not wanting a bar or restaurant, we found this coffee shop that was open to 1am. When we pulled up, I immediately felt like I was in Europe. Men sitting outside at tables drinking coffee and talking. When I walked inside and saw the menu, it brought me back to Bosnia and Herzegovina where the drink prices were under $3 for drinks! We asked the owner where he from and learned that he was from Sarajevo, Bosnia. He had been to Medjugorje so we talked about that for a few minutes. I got 2 large hot chai lattes and a big muffin for under $10. The atmosphere was great with lots of college aged students as well as old people my age 😂. There was music outside and art inside. This was the best vibe I got from a coffee shop in a long time. I can’t wait to go back!“

“Lovely owner (I’m assuming) explained everything simply and I loved how she interacted with the family who came in after us. The ice cream is SO GOOD. So thick and creamy. Pro tip, keep it simple on the base and go hard on the toppings if you like a lot of toppings. But it’s delicious enough to just get the sweet cream and have it plain! Such a cute shop 10/5 stars“

“Hi, I'm the owner of Sippers, naturally I think our shop is pretty awesome. There's always room for improvement and we're not perfect, but our food is good, the atmosphere is nice, and the service is usually pretty fast. Everyone is always welcome at Sippers. There's a cozy cottage area used for overflow seating, groups of four or more, and the area can also be reserved to small groups for a reasonable hourly fee. Where else can you find that in Jacksonville? We do ask that no outside food or drink be brought in or consumed on our premises. As a small business we survive from the sale of the products we offer. That said, Sippers always wants our product and your experience to be great. There's a drive through, too! As I mentioned we are not perfect, we have bad days, make mistakes, communications break down. Please come to us personally with your complaints and we'll do our best to fix them. If we can't, then resort to a negative review if you have one. Thanks so much we love you and can't wait to see you at Sippers.“

“Neat spot, great coffee. Pretty strong flat white, I enjoyed it. There is mostly outdoor seating but it’s super nice. The indoor seating is minimal but comfy while waiting. There doesn’t seem to be outlets and there is wifi. Didn’t really know where to park so I ended up parking in a nearby parking garage. Maybe there is a better option.“

“I never thought of myself as the kind of person that would take to Google to leave a five-star review for a Starbucks location but the employees here exceed my expectations of what customer service can be every single time I visit. They go beyond the homogenized politeness you find at Chick Fil A to add a friendly, personalized element to what they do that is exceedingly rare. As far as service is concerned, they run this location with an efficiency that Apple would likely envy but it’s the caliber of individuals behind the counter that truly makes it special.

We live in an area surrounded by independent coffee shops and I’m a tremendous proponent of supporting local businesses and yet I come to this Starbucks nearly every morning. It’s a testament to their team and their intuition, skill and at the risk of resorting to cliche, the joy that they project even when no sane person would be feeling joy at that time of day.
