“The drive through attendant, a young guy, was excellent. I know it was super busy because of the marathon going on and the wait was long to order through drive through but he was so pleasant! As I waited for my order when I got to the window I heard him calmly apologizing to the customer through the head set who was probably giving him an ear full because of the wait and he still managed to remain calm and professional. “2/13/26 --After a long day yesterday, I was very tired but also thankful. I woke up early to pray, then tried to sleep again, but my brain said, “No more sleep for you!” So I woke up again at 5:30 a.m., prayed some more, and finished packing. Then we went to our last breakfast on Explora I after our 15-day journey.

We visited many beautiful places, and I am grateful, but honestly… I was ready to get off the ship. I am still fighting a cold, and my body said, “Vacation is over!” Sometimes even paradise cannot fix a runny nose.

This morning I woke up with one clear mission: coffee. Not a big restaurant. Not a buffet. Just simple, peaceful coffee. So I started walking down A1A. Two minutes into my walk—like a blessing from above—I saw Starbucks. It was perfect. I almost heard angels singing.

I bought orange juice, a KIND bar, water, and of course my favorite drink: a decaf almond milk latte. (Yes, decaf… I like the taste, not the shaking hands.) They took care of me quickly, and I sat outside reading the news and trying to learn how to use my new Samsung Galaxy phone. I am giving my iPhone a much-needed rest… but really, I am just trying to keep work away for a little while. 😂

Even in the middle of being tired and sick, I remind myself of this verse:

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24

Even with a cold, even with little sleep, even with technology confusion… it is still a good day. 🙏“

“Great location located inside the Broward health hospital. I came to this location in my unfortunate overnight stay. It was absolutely freezing inside, but the do have a door that takes you to a outside patio. With table and chairs. The barista that took my order was so pleasant and so nice. I absolutely love the service and the food and drink tasted great.“

The way the staff takes care about this business is beyond best employees expectations.
Shout out for the recently promoted manager Junior, that takes care of his customers with so much patience and care, to the extent that he had time to draw me a flower on the cup while I was figuring out cards in my phone wallet.
I have been coming to this location since it opened up, and I always felt something special about it. But this flower, this cup and this experience today, are remaining in my heart forever as a pinnacle of customer service and exemplary work.

“I would have easily given this location 5 stars. I’m a reserve member who comes in nearly every day and have been doing so since the very first day this store opened. Over time, this place became part of my routine not just because of the coffee, but because of the people. The baristas knew regulars by name, remembered our drinks, and truly reflected the neighborhood they were serving. It created a genuine sense of community that made this location feel special.

Lately, though, I’ve noticed many of those familiar faces gradually disappearing. The new hires are polite and have done nothing wrong individually, but the overall atmosphere has shifted. The staff no longer seems to reflect the community that walks through the door every day, and the hiring choices now feel more image-focused than community-focused. As someone who has supported this store since day one, the change has been noticeable and it does make the space feel a little less warm than it once did.

I do want to recognize some of the baristas who still carry that welcoming spirit that I know by name , Chloe, Alicia B, Pinky, Lex, Rachel and even newer faces like AJ. There are a couple more whose name I haven’t gotten familiar with yet. They greet customers warmly, make excellent drinks, and still create the kind of environment that made this place stand out in the first place.

I’ve also noticed the store running a bit slower under the current management than it did previously, which adds to the feeling that some of the original rhythm of the store has changed.

I’m sharing this because I genuinely care about this location and have supported it from the beginning. The sense of community here used to be something special, and I hope the leadership team remembers that the people and the connection they create are just as important as the product.“
