“I love Italian food—especially mom-and-pop restaurants. My mom and I tried Pomodoro Café for the first time, and wow… hidden gem. The calamari was perfectly cooked—light, crisp, not greasy at all. The spaghetti Bolognese was rich, smooth, and perfectly al dente… the kind of dish that makes you pause and enjoy every bite. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. And Virginia—our server—was amazing. Attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!“

“I visited this store for the first time today. It is well-lit, tidy, and well-organized. The woman at the counter was very helpful and kind. They have a fantastic assortment of products, including various drinks and frozen meals. Everyone should visit this wonderful location, in my opinion. They also produce excellent chia teas at competitive prices. I will definitely be going here again.“

“we had a appointment at Shands and decided to have an early dinner. we started with the grouper fingers which were excellent. For my dinner I had the fried green tomatoes and she crab soup. They were both delicious 😋 Hubby had chicken sandwich and fries which were both good but he wishes he would have gotten something else like the shrimp etouffee. We will definitely be back. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart sorry I forgot her name. But highly recommend!!“

The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the owners Bennie and his wife Fannie treat each customer with ta friendly and respectful atmosphere. Their attitude is also reflected by the staff. The prices are very reasonable and portions generous. A hidden gem!!!!!!!“

“East End Eatery is my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville! The best breakfast burrito in town! Always fresh veggies, gouda cheese grits that always satisfy, even a Florida native like me. Treat yourself to the best waffle in town. Crisp outside with light fluffy center. Not heavy at all. Real shrimp and grits worth the wait for cooked to order meal. “what a cute and yummy place! the vibe of this place is very cozy and retro, a perfect place to just get coffee with friends or study. i came here for breakfast with my partner and we loved it. i got the quiche with the potato pepper hash and he got the breakfast sausage sandwich with corn buns. the quiche was phenomenal, melt in your mouth yummy. the potatoes were excellent too. we both got coffees as well which were good. the prices are a little high but thats to be expected at a cute coffee shop.“

The corn dogs had a very good batter that was less bready than is typical (which I liked) and the beer mustard and house bbq dipping sauces were great. The band that was playing looked like they were undergrad/grad students. They were very talented and their music perfectly matched the vibe of the bar.“
