“The history of Joe's Stone Crab restaurant began in 1913, when Joe Weiss, an asthmatic Hungarian immigrant who left New York on the advice of his doctors, opened a small buffet in Miami Beach. The restaurant site was first attached to a bathhouse where Joe offered meals and lockers to bathers. The founders, Joe and his wife Jennie, soon moved into a bungalow where Joe started a restaurant, initially serving traditional seafood.Jennie, Joe's wife, strictly managed the restaurant's guest list and hosted such infamous figures as Al Capone. In the 1920s, the reputation of the restaurant was made outstanding by the fact that Joe and a marine biologist started experimenting with local stone crabs, which were not considered edible until then. Joe's cooking technique of dropping the crabs into boiling water was a huge hit and became a specialty of the restaurant. The family business continued to expand, and Joe's son, Jesse Weiss, became a key figure in the restaurant. Jesse's charismatic personality and connections attracted many celebrities to the restaurant, making Joe's a true social center in Miami Beach. Jesse's memories have been preserved by his wife and daughter, and based on these, he is considered the pride of the family and the key to the restaurant's success.Joe's Stone Crab is now more than 100 years old and continues to be a family business, where the success of the restaurant is characterized by family togetherness and long-term employee loyalty. A place of community and camaraderie since its inception, the restaurant continues to celebrate good food and community as one of Miami's iconic dining venues.“

“Excellent meal and dining experience. My wife and I really miss the old Shula’s 347 and have been waiting for a new go-to restaurant to open in the South Miami/Pinecrest area. We found it…in the same location. The Caesar salad and [not so] spicy tuna tartare were an excellent start complemented by the roasted chicken dish with broccolini on the side. Each plate was as good or better than the last, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was terrific. We even had an unexpected Chef Jeremy Ford sighting as he presented a beautiful Tomahawk Ribeye to a neighboring table. Can’t wait to go back!“

“I went here for a meeting. Location is in downtown busy congested Miami. If you're OK with lot's of traffic etc, you can forget I even mentioned that. If you're not, then don't go to any place downtown Miami. The location being 22 floors up overlooking the city, was a nice view of the city. Food is typical, for any other place. Not healthy, so if you're looking for that, this isn't the place. Service was very good, considering how busy they were. I went on a Thursday evening and they were packed. Shoulder to shoulder and very loud! Not my scene, but if it's yours, then you will love it. Drinks looked very decorative and well presented. They also serve San Pellegrino in a bottle. Not sure of the pricing as I didn't pay for anything (Company Sponsored). They have very nice comfortable couches to sit on, some or most may be reserved if there's an event going on. If you want seating, get there early! There is an elevator that takes you directly to the 22nd floor, no stops. Only 1 elevator and it took more than a 10 minute wait to get back down at 10:30pm on a Thursday evening. You will kind of feel like you are walking into an exclusive place with their bouncers opening the area for you to pass in and out from the outside. Just like in those exclusive LA clubs. Parking from what I heard is $20 for 4 hours in their parking garage. I took the Brightline train in from Broward County then grabbed an Uber to the place. If you're looking for that schnazzy exclusive bar to show off or impress someone, this be the place!“

“Heard many good things before trying it out for the first time.First impression of the restaurant is odd because windows had like sort of newspaper on their windows; normally when you see that it's either they're not open yet or they've totally closed but we did made a reservation 30 mins prior arriving so it must be open!Upon entering the restaurant, my second impression was like oh no we have a 6 month old baby with us and there's only high chair tables then out of the blue host opens up a shelf door-AMAZING! Don't be put off by the graffitied little building. I believe it was formally a gas station. An eclectic location with amazing food, cozy decor and ambience. You can sit inside surrounded by walls of books (typical movie style, Harry Potter sort of thing) and antique tables that were once personal desks. Nothing matches but everything looks and feels like being in a cozy private library with soft lights. Live music (my friends 6 month baby was loving it!). You can sit outside and enjoy the cool evenings; they have a Dj.Food and wine is exceptional! We had to try their most talked baked empanadas; so we did. (1) Four Cheeses with Smoked Bacon (it was okay but not my favorite), (1) "Bunbury" Prosciutto-Mushroom-Brie (my favorite!), (1) Hand Cut Beef with Chimichurri (delicious but for being an Argentine restaurant; your chimichurri sucks - I would ve expected a little better), (1) Braised Lamb - touch of Mozzarella (delicious), Shrimp Balls (amazing combination of flavours), Bunbury Burger Bites (asked for medium cooked and waiter brought extremely well done even though we mentioned it twice - he didn't care less at all), and Grilled Vacío (this time around he did bring it medium cooked - thank God!).All in all, flavorful and addicting! The portion is on the small side but it's perfect if you are indulging in their many other delicious bites and empanadas. Oh the empanadas are to die for! They have a vast selection of great wines. On the walls, I definitely spotted 3 of my favorite wines which I tried in my trip to Buenos Aires and La Patagonia.Highly recommended! The Gnocchi alla Norcina was another triumph, with a texture and flavor that invited you to continue enjoying. The service was exceptional, every detail was meticulously taken care of, Mosaico - Maurizio Farinelli is a gem in South Miami and a must-see destination for lovers of good Italian food.“

“This place is like a speakeasy. We originally came to have dinner although, there were no tables outside in the patio or inside. The hostess told us we can go inside, we walked in and it was a hidden speakeasy practically with a bar and dj. We were able to order food at the bar and have a seat. Our bartender/server Alex was phenomenal. He was very attentive and made superb cocktails. My espresso martini was delicious. My husband and I shared a couple of dishes. My favorite was the lobster roll. It was so fresh and had a decent amount of meat squished into the potato roll. It was seasoned in old bay aioli, so much flavor in each bite. The octopus we ordered was very tender and had a garlic yogurt sauce, served on a bed of couscous. The French fries had a lemon essence to it, I ate almost all of them even though I was full because they were that good. We also ordered wagyu tacos and the meat was very soft, it seems to have been slow cooked. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. It's a whole vibe, the music is great, the food/cocktails are spectacular. There's a garage walking distance that you can park in or valet.“

“One of my favorite places on south beach. Had a wonderful brunch experience, love the ambiance and outstanding service from our server Michelle. She recommended a delicious watermelon sling cocktail to start our meal with along with some favorites, deviled eggs, and the crispy chicken biscuits. She also recommended the shrimp and grits that was amazing and the ribeye and eggs. A definite must if you're looking for delicious comfort food with a twist.“

“Took a group of 15 to dinner here. We sat outside as the weather was perfect that evening. It took a while to get things going with the server but once we did the overall experience was a good one. For this area the Makes Taco's prices were very reasonable. Most places on south each are over priced. Food was really good! The appetizers were delish. Had the chicharrones and the chips and salsa. The meals around the table looked delish as well. I had birria tacos. They were quite good. Overall great experience. Good food good service and cool vibe.“

I follow it up with a Roll Acevichado or a Causa Crocante, and the Chaufa Amazonico is to die for!!! Honestly their entire food menu is amazing! Our server, Nidia, was so attentive to us, very friendly and excellent customer service, I work in the Hospitality industry so I appreciate and recognize great customer service!!! “I came to Miami not knowing what to expect. I imagined it to be a diverse Latino paraíso. And, if you’re Latino, you know what that means. Fun. Familia. Friendship. And then Victoria, by random chance became our bartender and took us on a wild ride of fun. Bubbles, tequila, smiles, fun. Need I say more? This bar starts as a sleepy Miami lowkey funstop but then turns into this awesome reggaeton and dancing fun land where you might get hit with bubbles. Yes, bubbles! Honestly, Victoria made our night with her hospitality and hilarious banter. You won’t regret spending time here. 10/10 recommend.“

“Honest review. I would go back for the beers, atmosphere and service. The atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff will make you feel like you’re not in Miami. The service is very fast as well!I very much appreciate their own flavors to their Tex?Mex? inspired style BBQ but in the end the recipes need some work to really pull it off.The queso didn’t have much cheesy flavor or consistency, the frito pie is lacking the most important part which is a good chili-meat, the meats have 0 smoked flavor, the flour tortillas are under cooked yet over cooked giving the normally cloud soft flour tortilla a stiff texture. The beer and the corn bread were fantastic!“

“This place it is fairly new and maybe will survive their first year in business. The place is beautiful. We got a reservation for a Saturday night for out big group a few hours prior, thats why i said that i hope this business survive. Now they should be take care of their customers a little better specially the bartender. My friends got there early and they got charged $250 for two doubles of Macallan 15 years . My dear Owner the whole bottle cost $170!!!!! In the liquor store!! At least have the courtesy to let your customer knows! There is nothing that i hate the most see a list of drinks with no prices!! The food is good but not great and the portions are definitely small foe the prices!!! Our server was great he was always was on top of what we want. He honestly earn his tip!! But even our server knew!!! 22% tip is going to be included in the bill!! When we were paying he make sure that we knew that!! Afloja!!!!!“

“The food and drinks for the most part were good but obviously the live entertainment and vibes were what made it. The host was friendly but the servers were a bit inattentive and they were hard to grab their attention. They also never checked in on us. We had two servers, one at our table inside and one outside. They also charge 7% service charge on top of the automatic 18% tip here - which other Miami restaurants don’t do (they just charge 20% automatically). I would come back just for the live entertainment and the outdoor seating in the back. We smoked our cigars there and it was a beautiful setting.“

“We stopped in for dinner last night during my friends birthday trip. It was around 7pm and not too busy while we were there. We weren’t that hungry so we ordered the Caesar Salad and the Cuban sampler to share. The portions were more than generous and the food was absolutely delicious. I 100% recommend the Cuban Sampler - the pork bites were extremely tender and had tremendous flavor and the yuca fries were also very delicious. The tostones were a little greasy for me but still tasted fine and had good texture. The Caesar salad came on a huge plate and in my opinion was large enough to feed 3-4 people. Laturo our server was excellent and very personable. He joked around with us and was very accommodating to the requests we made. All the other staff were great to and took pictures of us when we requested. My only complaints are minor: the price of cocktails (essentially $20 each for what is basically a rail drink - but it’s a popular restaurant at the beach so I guess that’s pretty normal) and the fact that they add 20% tip without mentioning it (it is printed on the menu and I can understand that, but would have been nice to be told upfront just in case). Even with that small amount of criticism, we bth truly enjoyed the experience, the atmosphere and the the food. 11 out of 10. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the beach who wants to get a nice well made meal!“
