“I recommend the bar outside w Steph. I haven’t watched a movie here in years so I am not educated enough to give a review on that. Now, the bar outside has arguably the best bartender in the area and abroad. Steph is the bomb. Followed her from another establishment to this location. Amazing person, and great bartender. Also, Matt is the bomb.“

“Wanted a memorable Anniversary dinner and we definitely got it at Maxine's on Shine. It is nestled in a residential neighborhood so parking during peak times can be a bit tricky. We did make a reservation and arrived shortly after they opened at 5pm. Our immediate feel was that we were entering a speakeasy. Cool decorations,intimate yet casual indoor/outdoor seating, private dining area in rear and plenty of staff. Tables and bar were starting to fill up for their happy hour. Mia our server made her introduction and took great care of us throughout. They had a three course magical special along with regular dinner menu. We started with libations then onto a caprese salad appetizer. Our entrees were Maxines Chicken and Pasta and Beef Lasagna (a recipe taken from the former Italian restaurant that occupied the same space).
Both were delicious! We passed on dessert but one of the owners (Mr. Maxine) cane to our table and personally toasted us with a limerick and champagne. We truly welcome the opportunity to return with or without an occasion. Enjoy!“

She recommended the wood grilled corn and bacon flatbread, which was amazing, heard us talking about desserts and a bakery we wanted to try and gave her review. Attentive and nice. “We had such a great experience at The Monroe. This place honestly deserves the hype. The food overall was excellent. Nothing we had was bad, but some dishes definitely stood out more than others. The jalapeño popper deviled eggs were insane and easily my favorite. The General Tso cauliflower was perfectly crispy and flavorful and ended up being my husband’s favorite. The fried chicken is huge and comes with what feels like four sides, so it’s more than enough to share. I’m very picky about mac and cheese and theirs was genuinely impressive. The bread pudding was unreal, it comes out like a crispy brick on the outside and soft and gooey inside. Drinks were great too. The Flamingo drink was really good, and their iced lattes were surprisingly amazing, not just good for a restaurant but actually good. If I had to be picky, the s’mores and the warm potato salad were just okay compared to everything else. Service really made the experience. Our server Sarah was so bubbly and kind, and her recommendations were mostly spot on. We also had a situation where a child tried getting into our car. We mentioned it casually and didn’t expect anything to come of it, but she immediately took it seriously, got the manager, and he went out right away to handle it. That level of awareness made us feel taken care of and able to actually relax and enjoy the rest of our night. The pricing was honestly kind of shocking in a good way. We ordered three appetizers, a large entrée, two alcoholic drinks, two coffees, and dessert and it was right around $100. Overall, great food, great service, great pricing. A couple things I wouldn’t reorder, but the things that were good were really good. We’ll definitely be back.“

“If you love yourself, get a shrimp rice bowl, and if you REALLY love yourself you will also order the banana pudding for dessert. I ordered both on a night when I was feeling down and it was like recieving a big hug in the form of food. Sooooo good, extremely fair price for the quality & portions, delivered fast. “Eola Wine Company was my first time visiting, and honestly, it definitely won’t be my last! From the moment I walked in, I loved the atmosphere. It has such a warm, welcoming feel that makes you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself.

What stood out the most was the staff. Even on a busy Sunday brunch afternoon, they were incredibly attentive, friendly, and accommodating. That kind of service really makes a difference and made the experience even better.

The drinks were fantastic, and the mimosa flight was definitely a highlight! The food was fresh, delicious, and there were so many great options to choose from.

I also love how versatile this place is. It’s perfect for getting together with friends because it has a fun atmosphere without feeling too loud or crowded. But you can just as easily come by yourself, enjoy a drink, grab a quick bite, and feel completely comfortable. There’s something very inviting about this place.

With both indoor and outdoor seating, a great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, and amazing drinks, Eola Wine Company is definitely a spot worth checking out.

Since this was during the workday, I needed to be able to get there and back with my food quickly to fit into my 30 minute lunch break!
