We ordered two chef’s suggestions, and it was a great choice. Both dishes were delicious, well prepared, and full of flavor, showing the quality of the ingredients and attention to detail. The presentation was also very nice, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. My experience of a long wait, at Daytona International Raceway, was partly due to Stephanie pulling the product back as the staff was about to deliver it, as she was not pleased with one of the items they were about to serve, which BTW, to a layman, looked fine. Thus, Stephanie suggested an altered order and comped me. Her counter service, pride in her product, and food were excellent.“
