“My husband, who is disabled and in a wheelchair, is frequently a guest at the Great House Restaurant with his nurse Edgar. They are treated exceptionally well and really enjoy the food and the service, which is excellent. Rudolph was especially mentioned by them as being a first rate server!

They were very accommodating to our needs and sat us away from a nice family with kids so we could have private adult conversation without disturbing them! ( it can be noisy on the beachfront cafes so you have to talk a bit louder!) overall very nice place!“

“Very nice chill date night restaurant on Sunday following our weekend in Miami. Vibes were chill laid back yet romantic and simple. Food was very good without all the fire and loud music, we’d experienced everywhere else we’d gone. Service was also very good, I think our waiters name was Frankie, very helpful in making our selections as well as attentive.“

On night one I stopped in for drinks and was served by Maylin, who was an absolute delight and gave top tier friendly service. I decided to go back for dinner the next night and was served by Tomas. Another amazing night of service, plus the good is very, very good! I had one of the best Cuban sandwiches of my life (I used to live in Miami, I've had many) and I highly recommend the nachos, which are Cuban/Miami style and have plantain chips in place of tortillas. Give Biscayne Tavern a shot, it's low key in the best way and please give Maylin and Tomas all your love, they deserve it!“

“This place has lovely tile floors on the outdoor patio , where we always eat. Those floors always are either dirty or filthy! They are begging for a deep-clean. I used to love their Angus Beef hamburger, but although it remains in the menu, it's now two lean patties that cannot be anything but how the chef cooks it. Don't bother trying to get rare, medium or well! They will tell you, “we only cook it one way! They changed the food there! We won't be going as often.“

I recommend the lemon pepper flavor and it came out quick. The drinks are somewhat on the sweeter side but the prices are good. Although the atmosphere there is really cold so bring a sweater. “I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.“

“Stopped in for a light breakfast and some coffee on June 17, 2025. Had a great server by the name of Richie S. He was prompt, polite and professional. The three p's that denotes a great employee. He was also patience and properly groomed, those are rare qualities in today's society. This made my dining experience exceptional, and I have always enjoyed stopping at Denny's when traveling.
