“My friend and I went on Saturday night. We both had a drink and ordered appetizer while looking at the menu. Our waiter was right there with our hot appetizer within minutes. We both ordered shrimp and scallops coleslaw hush puppies along with our fried calamari appetizer. Our food was one of the best we've had in and around Bradenton/Sarasota. The atmosphere was perfect and service was the best. I cant wait to go back.”

The meatball appetitizer was delicious, from the salad to the dessert we enjoyed it all. The best Italian suisine has to offer. Highly recommend you take a trip to Palmetto, just over the bridge, to this lovely old home and enjoy what tastes like home cooking.”

“56 of us stopped in for breakfast Saturday Feb 12th. They sat everyone immediately with no problems. The waitstaff was really fast , professional and attentive. Our server didn’t miss beat. Even with so many people ordering at the same time. I sat with a group of ten and everyone’s order was spot on and delicious. I highly recommend you visit Popis!”

“Steak tacos are a different style. The meat is well-done, flavorful, and almost flaky. It's full of flavor, no fat balls, and the corn tortillas are perfect. Cilantro and chopped onions are on-point. The salsa verde and rojo are perfect. They also give you grilled onions and lime. These tacos are incredibly flavorful with no weird crap in them.”

“I want to start by saying we love this place! My husband and I come here once a week for coffee and breakfast! BUT I will say the owners are not personable or very talkative at all. Sometimes they seem almost bothered or feel as you’re being rushed. The girls who work here are super sweet but again they seem to rush you. The layout of having a line of people order and then back track to get your food is odd. It just causes congestion! Again, we love the food but some of the staff just make it to where I don’t want to come anymore. The whole area was so excited for a local breakfast place but I just expected nicer staff I guess. I will say MaKayla (not owner) is always sweet and a girl she typically works dirty blonde hair and usually a ponytail is SO sweet as well!”

“What a wonderful place. I stopped by there yesterday, March 31, 2025, together with my son, daughter-in-law, and their Costa Rican friend. The sandwiches were terrific, the drinks great, cute atmosphere, but the best part was Lindsay. Let me tell you why she, among all the other good reasons, is the main reason we'll come back. I live in Indian Shores (an hour away - near Clearwater) and noticed that I had left my purse hanging on the back of my chair. Sadly, I didn't notice that until I got home. I called right away and yes, they had it, and I drove right back. Lindsay handed me my purse, and I wanted to purchase a water and a muffin, and when I tried to pay, Lindsay had taken care of it very quickly, right in front of my eyes. I think she saw I was tired and felt bad for me for the extra 2-hour drive I had to take (totally my fault). She was so kind and runs a wonderful, tasty, family oriented, lovely place, and although I was dead tired, I felt her interaction with me was worth the extra drive. There are beautiful people in the world, and she is undoubtedly one of them. Thank you!!!”

“We stopped in for the first time this afternoon. They provided the best pizza I remember. The crust is just right, proper crisp, chewy, flavorful. The sauce is a masterpiece, the best I've had since I moved to the area 30 some years ago. Toppings are spot on. I highly recommend this place as The Goto place for a good pie!”

Getting here might seem weird the first time. It’s on a private road next to a bank. Parking is limited.”
