“My friend and I went on Saturday night. We both had a drink and ordered appetizer while looking at the menu. Our waiter was right there with our hot appetizer within minutes. We both ordered shrimp and scallops coleslaw hush puppies along with our fried calamari appetizer. Our food was one of the best we've had in and around Bradenton/Sarasota. The atmosphere was perfect and service was the best. I cant wait to go back.”

The meatball appetitizer was delicious, from the salad to the dessert we enjoyed it all. The best Italian suisine has to offer. Highly recommend you take a trip to Palmetto, just over the bridge, to this lovely old home and enjoy what tastes like home cooking.”

“56 of us stopped in for breakfast Saturday Feb 12th. They sat everyone immediately with no problems. The waitstaff was really fast , professional and attentive. Our server didn’t miss beat. Even with so many people ordering at the same time. I sat with a group of ten and everyone’s order was spot on and delicious. I highly recommend you visit Popis!”

“Steak tacos are a different style. The meat is well-done, flavorful, and almost flaky. It's full of flavor, no fat balls, and the corn tortillas are perfect. Cilantro and chopped onions are on-point. The salsa verde and rojo are perfect. They also give you grilled onions and lime. These tacos are incredibly flavorful with no weird crap in them.”

“We went to the 11th annual Bradenton Area River Regatta, on the Manatee River, featuring Formula 1 powerboat racing, Formula Lights, and Tri-Hulls. The free event includes racing action from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with championship finals starting at 2:15 p.m. Afterwards we had dinner at one of our favorite spots for delicious food & drinks. We had their Regatta rum punch to celebrate the event. We both had fish & chips too. Delicious.
We highly recommend Riverhouse Waterfront Restaurant anytime.”

“We stopped in for the first time this afternoon. They provided the best pizza I remember. The crust is just right, proper crisp, chewy, flavorful. The sauce is a masterpiece, the best I've had since I moved to the area 30 some years ago. Toppings are spot on. I highly recommend this place as The Goto place for a good pie!”

“The staff immediately made us feel welcomed. The pan con bistec was as good as I remember growing up in Miami in all the good cafeterias, papa rellen and the cappuccino were delicios. In visiting Vicki bakery and coming in here La Rubia is hands down the best.”

Getting here might seem weird the first time. It’s on a private road next to a bank. Parking is limited.”

“We had a genuinely great experience at this Hungry Howie’s location. While the surrounding area may look a bit rough, the restaurant itself was sufficiently clean and welcoming, and the food did not disappoint.

The pizzas were cooked to perfection, and the gluten-free crust was absolutely dynamite—easily one of the best we’ve had. Everything we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying.

That said, the true star of the show was Donna, the hostess and server. Her service was beyond attentive—friendly, personable, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. She made us feel valued as customers and elevated the entire dining experience well beyond our expectations.

As a small, constructive note, a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the flatware would be appreciated, but this did not detract from an otherwise excellent visit.

We don’t eat here very often and usually opt for carryout, but this experience has absolutely made us reconsider. Between the quality of the food and the exceptional service, we’ll be dining in far more frequently. Highly recommended—especially if Donna is working.”
