“My family was visiting from Ohio and found this place. We were very impressed with the service and food. We tried the ribs and pulled pork, with sides of Mac n cheese, baked beans, and fries. Little one got grilled cheese. We have zero complaints. The free donut, cinnamon and sugar, included with your meal was also delicious. Donut was fresh and made in front of you. We also got to meet the owner, who personally came to ask us how the BBQ food we ordered was and provided the orgin of how the idea become reality. Highly recommend a visit!“

“I ate there for the first time and my I add I spent 23.00 which I wasn't complaining about but I ordered the pulled chicken quesadillas, to start I have no idea what cheese it was made with but the cheese did not blend or mix well when melting the tortilla shell and I guess to avoid the burning issue they took it out but it looked like fake cheese with a little bit of chicken here and there. no sour cream no salsa. OK. then I ordered the maccaroni and cheese... that looked luke kraft Mac and cheese out the box and seemed to havr been made with a powder product cheese and not real cheese either. then I also added corn bread which I didn't see it was jalapeño cornbread. I was immediately taken aback by peppers in the cornbread. I guess that is a south thing. not too bad just not my cup of tea. and lastly the baked beans they were ok not bad but for the entire meal I had to put it in the garbage I couldn't eat that at all. I wouldn't recommend and I will not be going back either. the picture is me trying to eat the quesadilla without the nasty looking cheese on it and even that didn't save it.“

“What a wonderful experience! They really know how to make you feel at home. The j*** chicken was superb. I especially enjoyed how tasty the sides were. My favorite was Tomatoes and Okra. Also tried their dumplings. What a great end to the meal. Also we had the homemade fruit punch. It was all so yummy. We cannot wait to go back. Make sure and ask for Gerald. “Yum, Yum, Yum! I was invited to lunch at Papa Diesel's Restaurant on my visit to Apopka, FL. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the entire experience was a treat. A friendly family atmosphere greeted me at the door, with the added touch of care that was immaculately given to every detail. The aroma from the kitchen activated my taste buds, as I stared mesmerized by the extensive menu. Finally, I decided to go for the “Diesel Sampler”. The brisket was so succulent that it melted in my mouth. The ribs fell from the bone with such flavor that no sauce was necessary—the pulled pork I used to sample the homemade sauces. As I was told, the sauces will soon be available in the local supermarkets (as I can attest to becoming a family staple). Needless to say, the sausage, chicken, and sides all met with the same flavorful standards. Ending my meal with a dessert, I enjoyed the peach cobbler and shared a nibble of key lime cake with my date. It was an enjoyable afternoon, sharing special time with loved ones in a loving environment, dining on food prepared by Papa Diesel, who loves to cook for folks, and making them feel at home!“

“My husband and I decided to get dinner here and it was absolutely delicious. We decided to share the Oak and Star Platter and picked the Smoked Brisket and Roasted Citrus Herb Chicken. We also ordered a side of the fries with pulled pork
and cheese on top. The meal came with a loaf of the mango bread, but we got an extra order [My fault, I didn't
see that it was included!].

Everything tasted so good! The chicken was definitely the star of the dish. It was moist and so flavorful. The mango bread was sweet, but not too sweet. I also really liked the fries
with the pulled pork.

The table has 4 different sauces that you can try with your food and I recommend you try them all. I know that in the future, when I come back to Epic, I will be sure to stop and get a bite from here because the food was excellent. The atmosphere was also nice and while we were there they had a duo up on stage playing some fun little tunes.“
