“Well for starters the escargot, raw oysters, and oysters Rockefeller were out of this world. Both the red and white clam chowder were like perfection in a bowl. My entrée was the baked stuffed shrimp and hands down AMAZING. Our waitress was YO and she knew everything about the history of the restaurant to the menu. I was very interested in the collection of oyster shells on the walls and she explained that as well. TEN STARS !!! I recommend to anyone who loves fresh seafood and visits Sanibel Island.“

“I was sightseeing in Sanibel and found this place before driving back to the east coast. The service was great and their grouper sandwich was one of the best I've had. Wishing you much success! Definitely recommending to friends traveling to Sanibel Island. 🙂“

“I’ve been meaning to write this review for weeks, and I’m sorry to have put it off!
My husband and I spent a quiet Thanksgiving together on Sanibel and decided to go out to dinner. Everywhere we tried was booked or closed (totally on us). I finally found Blue Rendezvous, and it seemed romantic and lovely. I’m so glad we found it!
From the start, it felt like walking into a little neighborhood bistro. The hostess/owner was SO kind and accommodating. Being New Englanders, we weren’t afraid of the “cold” (it was in the high 60s…) so we opted to sit outside. We were the only ones out there as we had a later reservation, and it was perfect. The hostess turned the music on and made our little spot so perfect.
When a family with very young children sat down and complained about the service being slow (they had no reservations on a major holiday on a small island, and I was honestly embarrassed at how they were treating the staff), the staff rushed to accommodate their last minute request. The family was not pleased, and left in a hurry; fine by us! The staff clearly felt badly, but they did everything they could, and frankly more, to help these folks who were really not being very gracious. As a business owner and someone who worked in restaurants for a long time, they handled it with grace.
Our waitress was amazing, and had the best suggestions! We both went for the prix fixe menu. Every single thing was delicious, from the French onion soup to the beef bourguignon that tasted exactly how my grandmother made it. The cocktails and wine were the perfect complement, and the crème brûlée was some of the best we’ve ever had!
If you’re on Sanibel, do not miss out on this newer restaurant! The service, food, and experience were 10/10, and we will definitely be back. Thank you!“

“Our beach wedding was torrential downpour rained out 😭. Robin to the rescue! She pulled it all together and we were able to gather everyone and do our vows in the loft where our reception was scheduled to be!!! It was perfect and the food and service was amazing! Everyone had a great time! Thank you so much to Robin and the entire staff!“

“Panko fried shrimp Very good! Cooked to perfection. Coleslaw flavorful! Margarita flat bread *amazing. For an appetizer, it was flavorful, colorful, and filling. Chicken tenders *crunchy, juicy, filling. For an appetizer it was enough to fill me for lunch. Mary was our server and she did a fantastic job. Mom and I had Doc's for lunch and have leftovers to enjoy for later and will be back again!“
