Starbucks in Sarasota

“UPDATE:
I'm a frequent flyer at Starbucks. I'm likely to show up at any of the 6 or more that are working a 10 mile radius of my home. I'm a black Reserve card holder. I've probably financed someone's private school education at this point.
Anyway, I had a particularly nice encounter with a barista named Tim today at this store at University and Tuttle that is worthy of mentioning. I used to be a Starbucks barista. And when you are enthusiastic about the product you are selling, it shows. I had already ordered and paid for my S'mores Frappacino and mentioned I never had one, when Tim launched into the most delectable discretion of what I was about to get. He was excited for me. It's his new favorite beverage. Mine too now although, I'm losing weight so this was a rare treat. Thanks Tim. While the barista all are pleasant, remember my name, are happy to see me when I come in, chat when they can, this was such a pleasurable experience. I just had to share. Keep up the good work Tim. I hope your manager notices!

“I went to Starbucks yesterday and the girl working the window honestly made my day 😊❤ her smile and energy were just so genuine and positive and it really stood out to me I even told her manager how great she was and how much I appreciated her even a day later I still felt like I had to leave a review because people like that deserve to know when they make a difference 🥰

“I visited this store often however n February i went from a daily customer (August-January)to once a week. It's a hit or miss. My drink is either great or tasteless with my cup full of ice. More ice than the drink. I think staff gets lazy assuming ppl won't notice they're not making their drinks as requested. And I haven't mentioned it to the staff bc I don't like to make a complaint but at 8 bucks a drink i think it should taste like an 8 dollar drink. Maybe I'll speak up as I sit here writing this review inside the store“

“I’ve been to at least 75 Starbucks locations from New York to Florida, and this is hands down the best Starbucks up and down the Eastern Seaboard! Every employee at this location makes me feel like a celebrity from the moment I arrive until the moment I leave. The service is truly exceptional, and the entire team makes every visit feel special. Even if I’m an hour out of the way and craving a coffee, I’ll wait until I get to this location because the service is that incredible. “I was there this past weekend, and Roberto went above and beyond with my drink. I ordered a Passion Fruit Guava Refresher, and mentioned that I had ordered one at another location and not only did it taste like watered down lemonade but they had forgotten the popping bubbles, so I was hoping that this one was better. He made my drink sooo tasty and put so many popping bubbles, it was fantastic! He was also very nice and welcoming as soon as we walked in the door, which was a great sign that the customer service there is awesome. Thanks again Roberto!“

Occasionally, it gets a bit crowded and loud during peak hours, but the friendly baristas and reliable Wi-Fi keep me coming back. A solid 4/5 stars.“

“I feel most people get the same quality of beverages at any Starbucks. If you are just looking to order your coffee and leave... this is the place for you. However, if you are wanting to sit and study it is AWFUL!!!! They got rid of tables and expanded their back. You need a code to use the bathroom. It is very loud inside even with headphones one as you can constantly hear the drinks being made. The staff was friendly. The place was clean. If you are looking at a good study spot I'd suggest the one off Clark Rd. but not here.“

“PLEASE TURN DOWN THE MUSIC!! This is my favorite Starbucks in Sarasota, the drinks are always somehow better than any other location and the employees are very kind. But for the love of god PLEASE turn down the music in there. It’s genuinely ridiculous, every time I go in with anyone it’s hard to just talk because it’s already a small store, the people and music combined it’s extremely loud. Don’t get me started on trying to do work in there, I had white noise blasting on my noise cancelling airpods and could still hear every lyric of the songs playing. I’m sure this is a common annoyance, please take it into consideration.“

“Goes above and beyond. I did a pick up order and was notified that they canceled my drink order because they were out of it. I was so disappointed until I arrived and they surprised me by having made my drink with a new ingredient for me to try. It was amazing and made my day“

“I live close to the mall and since having my daughter, I've joined an amazing class called Fit4Mom. After the class I grab a coffee from Starbucks and Patrick has been there. He is always incredibly kind and even remembered our names asking how my daughter is doing and everything! It really stands out to me as you can see in my previous review 5 years ago that service isn't always perfect but it really shows when it is or even jist being personable and kind goes a long way! Thanks for being kind to my daughter and I at our weekly visits!Original review 2018-I been coming to the UTC mall since it opened and visit the Starbucks regulary. I haven't always got the best service but I get the ABSOLUTE BEST service everytime THEODORE is there. He is always making my drink the best, correct the first time, or is always quick to fix it if something is wrong! THEODORE is an amazing barista and my favorite to visit! Always super kind even when another customer is unfriendly to him, he always remains sweet! Whenever I come to UTC and want a coffee, I look for Theodore everytime!!! Thanks!“
