“Yum, Yum, Yum! I was invited to lunch at Papa Diesel's Restaurant on my visit to Apopka, FL. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the entire experience was a treat. A friendly family atmosphere greeted me at the door, with the added touch of care that was immaculately given to every detail. The aroma from the kitchen activated my taste buds, as I stared mesmerized by the extensive menu. Finally, I decided to go for the “Diesel Sampler”. The brisket was so succulent that it melted in my mouth. The ribs fell from the bone with such flavor that no sauce was necessary—the pulled pork I used to sample the homemade sauces. As I was told, the sauces will soon be available in the local supermarkets (as I can attest to becoming a family staple). Needless to say, the sausage, chicken, and sides all met with the same flavorful standards. Ending my meal with a dessert, I enjoyed the peach cobbler and shared a nibble of key lime cake with my date. It was an enjoyable afternoon, sharing special time with loved ones in a loving environment, dining on food prepared by Papa Diesel, who loves to cook for folks, and making them feel at home!“

“My first time going was on a Sunday around 9-9:30, it was moderately busy, i caught a good time many people came in after me. Staff greets with smiles, and Lauren is a doll!

I ordered a siren iced latte, it was delightful. I got regular whole milk and it comes with 3 shots of espresso. The vanilla was not over powering and the caramel is a nice touch.

I also got a ham egg and cheese croissant (egg added). It was great honestly.

The overall price is not too bad compared to starbucks, cannon coffee, or even propgate social house (who is pricey IMO).

“My family stopped in today before we caught a flight home today. My aunt and uncle live in Mount Dora and visit there often. My mom and I were visiting from Saint louis Missouri and was our first time there. I really wanted to give a shout out to your waiter that was working this morning around noon!! He was a superstar running around like crazy today. He was taking orders, seating customers, and cashing out customers. There was only one cook and one busser/dishwasher. Apparently 2 people had called in sick and he was so busy he couldn’t even call for someone to come in to help him. The crew this morning definitely deserves a raise. “My kids wanted to take me out for Father's Day a few days after the actual day and asked me where I wanted to go. I chose Longhorn in Mt. Dora and I'm really glad I did. We had a fantastic dinner experience there. Matt, our server was very attentive but didn't hover over us before we ordered and during our meal. My son and I both chose the 20 oz. Outlaw Ribeye and I'm so happy I did. It's rare that I eat steak these days because it is so expensive in the grocery store but it was also so worth it to order one for my Father's Day Dinner with the kids. It was AWESOME. My daughter had Shrimp and Chicken which was also very very good. We weren't rushed by the staff, the food came out on time and we had a great dinner with alot of conversation which was priceless for me since I don't ever get to go out with my children without their spouses and or my grandkids ( which by the way isn't bad either, I love being around my grandkids ) Anyway it was a memorable dinner and I hope that we can do it again sooner than later. The food was awesome, the service was great and I will always remember it.“
