“This is one of those hidden gems that's absolutely worth finding. The BBQ is packed with flavor, the portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. The jerk ribs and smoked meats are especially delicious and definitely stand out.
The owner is friendly, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in serving great food. If you're looking for authentic BBQ with excellent value in Tallahassee, this spot is well worth the visit. I'll definitely be coming back.“

“Dear Public. As far as my daughter and I are concerned every restaurant that we spend so much on hoping for good food in Tallahassee can close. Our $30, $40, $50, $60 at some of the rated best disappointed. On July 4, 2026, I went to Sonny's on Dick Wilson! I ordered two dinners and the window server was tremendous, even with 16 cars behind me! The food was stupendous. It was delicious! I had the St. Louis dry rub dinner with goodies, and my daughter had the white Chicken dinner with her goodies! We could not believe how clean, well cooked, and delicious everything was. Sonny, you really made our 4th 250 special. Very Americana! Worth the tip plus. Thank you!“

“We visited Tallahassee and stopped in here. The barbecue is best I have had in long time. Real barbecue not chain restaurants barbecue!Will go there every time we are in Tallahassee!And side dishes were just as good as rib, pork and chicken!“
