“This was our first dining experience here at Black Rock. They did not disappoint whatsoever. From the time that we entered until we finished our meals, we were treated with excellent customer service. The Host - Tori, was very pleasant. Once seated, my wife and I received the most outstanding customer service (waitress, Hannah) that we’ve ever received when dining in quite a while. Not sure of the bartenders name, nonetheless, the drinks were very good also. The food was definitely worth the wait. The food was extremely well prepared. Hannah, thoroughly explained how to cook the steaks on the stone, then allowed us to enjoy our meal. (Thank you Chefs) Due to our outstanding experience, we will definitely be returning. As I mentioned to one of the managers there, it seems as though people will find something to complain about, but rarely take time out to say “Thank you.” I wanted to thank the entire staff for a great dining experience.“

“We just ordered for a 5 people work lunch via Uber Eats all getting different dishes and they were all tasty. I had the Club and the bread was buttery and toasty and the onion rings were on point, but the sauce they come with is next level. Most importantly there were some special instructions on the order, sub this, remove that, add please and they did not miss a single note!! Impressive on that alone. Portions are generous. Will def order again.“

The place is iconic and a great place to watch the game, meet up at the end of the day, or just escape from a house full of guests that won't leave. The food is excellent, especially the Garlic Parmesan wings and there are plenty of beers on tap.“

“We started off our meal with an amazing appetizer. I've got 4 words for you. Deep Fried Deviled Eggs. Our taste buds enjoyed the crisp of the fried egg white and the creamy contrast of the deviled mixture. They topped each bite off with bacon and jalapeño.

Not only was our app delicious, but our main course was fresh, flavorful, and priced just right.

If you want outstanding service, taste bud satisfying food, and great casual atmosphere, BH is the place to go.“

“A little recommendation….while attending the concert last night (8/10/23) at Mid-Florida Amphitheater we stayed at the Embassy Suites in Brandon. We are Hilton people so staying at their family of hotels is always our first choice. But I have to tell you, this Embassy Suites takes customer service to the next level. From Matthew who checked us in, to Gina the bartender, to Mike and Millie who made our breakfast, to Chad the General Manager, they did not miss one opportunity to make sure we were completely satisfied. A bonus was that the hotel was a $12 Uber ride to the Amphitheater. If you can swing it, stay here when your attend your next concert.“

“Tonight was so fun! I have been to GenX a few times before but tonight was very busy! The staff was killing it. We had so much fun with the DJ. We had a party of 15 and we came in at 515 and spoke to Megan and Dean and even though there were many other reservations they made our party a priority. They made sure to take care of us even though they were bartending and running around with a bus tub cleaning tables. This place was so fun and so many other customers were in wigs or outfits of the GenX era. We loved the atmosphere and are so glad we had our birthday party at GenX. Please tell Megan and Dean thank you for taking such good care of us all night and the DJ was giving us life! Thanks GenX! Here's to another year around the sun. 🌞“

“We once visited this venue a few years ago, when it was dagwoods, and never returned due to how incredibly depressing and dirty the place was. Yesterday, we stopped to go into the liquor store next door to check to see if they had a particular product in stock, then walk to fresco y mas. We then noticed the decals on the windows and popped our heads in to discover the place had been completely transformed. If not for needing to go somewhere else in the plaza, we would have continued traveling 30m away just to go to a decent bar. Change the sign so people know you aren't a depressing booze filled drug den you go to score a bag of smack or pills! The previous business Dagwoods had a lot of negatives associated with it and I know we aren't the only people that have avoided visiting. We had no clue it was completely changed a couple years ago, otherwise we would have patronized much sooner. You have a great bartender, nice interior, and great food now. Let people know!“

“We had two meals here, a proper dine-in dinner and breakfast to go. The food was adequate and tasty enough for a Hyatt restaurant near the airport. This is quite a large Hyatt with two towers so the place was pretty busy but not overwhelmed. There were no long waits. The service crew was friendly and appropriate but nothing over the top in terms of warmth and affability... if that's a word even.. they kept my debit card too which I didn't discover until we were long gone; only mildly inconvenient with today's technology.“

“The location is amazing. Sit right on a pier in the Bay. Beautiful view. Or you can sit on the beach, where they have tables and chairs and picnic tables. And water access..swimming. There is a souvenir shop. The fish tacos were amazing. The Nachos with pulled pork was huge and amazing. All good. Beer good. They offer valet for $7. Parking otherwise may be hard if busy.
I definitely will go back for the views,and food and our male waiter he was very friendly and fun.
Only minus was the rest of the waitstaff did not feel very welcoming to me with my dogs. Although the restaurant is listed as dog friendly and the section I was seating in was meant for the dogs.“
