“Today was our first visit to Shades Bar & Grill. We were there for lunch & the food & service (our server was Sarah) could not have been better. We ordered the chicken & sausage gumbo, Philly cheesesteak & the chicken jalapeño ranch wrap. Our sides were onion rings & sweet potato fries, however we had a hard time making a selection because of the many great food options to choose from. All the food was delicious & Sarah was a top notch server who was friendly, prompt & efficient. Definitely recommend & will visit Shades again when back in the area.“

“It was our first time going, and we weren’t sure what to expect, but as we were pulling in the parking lot, a man rolled down his window and told us the food was awesome and to try the pork chops. We tried the simple starter. Bread, oil, and herbs. Simple but flavorful! Highly recommend I had the side summer salad and Krioyo pasta. The salad, no joke, was amazing. Full of color and flavor, might be the best salad I’ve ever eaten. The pasta was a generous serving, creamy and spicy with sausage and shrimp, full of flavor! My husband had the pork chops, cheese grits, and fries (I wish he got the collards instead of the fries, but it *was* his meal, so…). The cheese grits were a delicious surprise to me. So, so, so good. If we go back, I’m definitely ordering them (and the collards). The pork chops were, true to our parking lot critic’s word, awesome. I will definitely return. The atmosphere was laid back and wonderful, the food delicious, and the team members were fantastic. 10 out of 10 recommend! “We are holed up at our rental property with all the bad weatherlike everybody else. our runner told us that this place was authentic and man she wasn't kidding. First off she's from New Jersey and knows good Italian food and secondly the owners are from Long Island New Jersey and New York. The lemon shrimp off the chain. The Caesar is like a shot of garlic cream unbelievable.. The pizza was cooked perfectly. My Italian sub stacked and the pasta salad that came with it and the pepperoncini's amazing. if you get the lemon shrimp you have to dip the breadsticks in it :-)“

“This past weekend shaka hosted my baby shower outside on their gorgeous patio and it couldn't have turned out more perfect! They brought in someone to work the bar and helped cater to our every need. There was so much space and the venue was breath taking! Kenyon Deal is the guy to see. He made sure we had everthing we needed before all of our guests arrived and numerous guests who attended noted that is was the best baby shower they had ever been to! So greatful for the amazing staff and will be using them again for any future needs! 100 out of 10 would recommend.“

“I’m a local and have been eating at your restaurant for the past couple of years. You have a wonderful little gem—it’s always clean and welcoming, with friendly service. It’s a great place for locals and a special spot for tourists to discover while visiting our area.

During my most recent visit, I ordered the two-egg breakfast with coffee and substituted an English muffin for the toast. I also requested a packet of cream cheese, as I have many times before. When paying, I noticed a $1 charge for the cream cheese, which I haven’t been charged for in the past.

I completely understand that restaurants sometimes need to charge for extras. My concern isn’t really about the dollar; it’s that the charge seems inconsistent from one visit to another, and I wasn’t told about it when ordering. Had I known, I would have simply kept the wheat toast rather than paying for cream cheese packets when I didn’t even use both packets of cream cheese.

You have a wonderful restaurant, and I’ll certainly continue coming back. I only wanted to offer a friendly suggestion that the team let customers know whenever a requested item carries an additional charge.

“My wife, mother-in-law, and I enjoyed a fantastic Mother’s Day brunch at Edward’s in Rosemary Beach. They’re typically only open for dinner, but we were fortunate to experience one of their special daytime brunches—and it was a standout from start to finish! Jimmy, the GM, welcomed us and had us seated quickly on their covered patio, which was perfect even with the steady rain. The chef created a beautiful brunch menu for the occasion, and our server, Kiyonta, was friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. We started with Deviled Eggs, the Seasonal Fruit Plate, and the Caesar Salad—each dish fresh, flavorful, and elegantly presented. For our entrées, we chose the Shrimp and Grits (incredible!), the Lox and Avocado, and Edward’s Omelet. Every bite was delicious, and the plating was as impressive as the flavors. We ended our meal with a trio of desserts: the housemade ice cream sandwich, crème brûlée, and key lime pie. Each one was delightful, but the ice cream sandwich may have stolen the show. Huge thanks to the Edward’s team for making our rainy Mother’s Day feel special and memorable. If you’re in Rosemary Beach, Edward’s MUST be on your list!“

“Ticheli’s Pizza on 30A is an awesome spot if you want great food and a fun atmosphere. The wood-fired pizza has incredible flavor with that perfect crispy crust, and you can really taste the difference from the wood-fired grill. Everything came out fresh, hot, and loaded with quality ingredients.

What really makes the place stand out is the atmosphere — live music, laid-back 30A vibe, and a great outdoor setting that makes you want to hang out for a while. “We had a truly lovely evening celebrating my mother’s birthday last night. We were a larger family gathering, including my two young nieces, ages three and six. The restaurant graciously accommodated us with a beautiful table by the window, offering an enchanting view of the town of Rosemary. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere—it carries an effortless elegance and sophistication that feels wonderfully refined, yet it remains genuinely welcoming and comfortable for the little ones. The background music was a beautiful touch, shifting gracefully from soft Spanish guitar to light jazz and Bossa Nova. It was kept at a perfectly gentle volume, complementing the upscale vibe without ever intruding on conversation.
The service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, engaging, and brought a lovely sense of humor to the table while kindly guiding us through the menu. Every detail of the meal was beautifully executed. The bread basket arrived perfectly fresh, complete with a mini scone that was absolutely superb. For our appetizers the burrata was delightfully creamy, and our main courses the pulpo and grouper were prepared to perfection. To finish, the key lime pie offered a lovely, delicate sweetness.

My family appreciates fine wine, and they thoroughly enjoyed the exceptional Malbec on the list. The cocktails were equally well-crafted.

To close an already marvelous evening, the kitchen kindly surprised my mother with a beautiful, understated birthday dessert that made her night feel all the more special.
