“In a couple of words Cotton Calf was absolutely fantastic! My wife and I went on a date night. We had the calamari, signature cocktails, chopped salad, Delmonico ribeye, truffle fries, and the bread pudding for dessert. We got to sit at I guess, what would be considered a chef's table directly across from the kitchen facing the kitchen so that we could see the staff and all the food being prepared which was really interesting and entertaining. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous, the ambiance was on point for a date night and we were very well attended to without our server being overbearing. Everything that we had food-wise was perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. The drinks were well poured and delivered above and beyond expectations. This was our second time going and we had the same experience the first time we went. The bread pudding was the best I have ever had in my life. My wife and I always order bread pudding when we see it on a menu and this was top notch. I'm not going to say that in this case you get what you pay for because we've been to other restaurants that we could eat at for about half the price, but in this case I wouldn't change anything and the high price tag didn't lessen my experience at all. We will definitely be going again.“
“We have been coming here for years and can definitely say it’s one of the best local spots for brunch! They have a variety of dishes and daily specials that is always a hit! The environment is cute and cozy while the staff are friendly and welcoming. Their signature whipped coffee is a must! They have a delicious churro waffle but this time, I got the special coconut waffle and it was sooooooo amazing, you didn’t even need to put syrup on it. I am still drooling writing this, it was soooo good! The food always come out hot and fresh! It’s fun coming here because you can also build your own biscuit! I'd rate this a 4.5 as I recalibrated a 5 Star Review for my NYC Vacay at Michelin Star Restaurants. This is a great neighborhood seafood eats that we both like to go to being FL Girls. Normally we have the smoked fish spread. But it looked like there was a menu update and I ordered a Dozen Fully Loaded Oysters which were baked with plenty of parmesan, garlic, and bacon. I had the Monster Fried Food Combo Basket but I'm not into fries and coleslaw. They let me sub out for boiled garlic potatoes and fried okra. My platter had fried fish, oysters, jumbo scallops and jumbo shrimp. I basically took an entire filet of boneless fish home. And I'm usually a big lunch eater who orders extra seafood on the side. Mimi had Whiskey Shrimp Pasta which was a cream sauce with caramelized onions and bacon which I've had before and is really good. Today's dessert special was a Tiramisu with Espresso soaked lady fingers and thick cream topping. Mimi opted for her go to dessert of a brownie with ice cream and toppings. The service is usually always friendly and great at this restaurant. We are definitely putting this back on rotation!“

So we made our way back a week or so later and the experience was sub par...some items we love were not available and some items were REALLY salty. Also, it isn't the restaurants fault but there were children running around everywhere which made it difficult to get to food and even walk around. “This is my favorite Waffle House location.They are always friendly and the food is delicious.But the experience I had last Friday was special.I was visiting with my son and eating a meal around 3pm. I was in a very depressed mood because I had an upsetting incident with someone else earlier in the day. Suddenly the person who was making the food in the kitchen left a plate of food on my table in a to-go box. I looked at him and said, "This is not ours." He said with a very kind smile, "This is on the house." My son whispered to me. "Mom, he saw you crying." I was very moved. Even if it was just a plate of food, it was worth more than that to me.It made me think that this is a world where a wound caused by a person I used to know can be healed by a complete stranger.
