“First impressions are Everything!! Visiting from Louisiana with a friend, we decided to try the College Park location. The greeter, with a very pleasant personality met us at the door and welcomed us in. The energy was high from the staff as well as inviting. We both decided on the Afta Church, tried the fried green tomatoes and added the bussin muffins. Beautiful presentation, deliciously prepared and from my own experience, the meal was intoxicating. I'm a salt sensitive person and I was pleasantly surprised the meal wasn't high in sodium.I don't eat out often but when I do, I want to enjoy it and I love when the meal and atmosphere leaves a lasting impression. I would absolutely recommend treating yourself and your palette to an unforgettable experience at Virgil's Gullah Kitchen & Bar!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

The waitress did a great job but she decided to add her tip to our total instead of allowing us to provide our tip. Our meal was $74, the total she gave us was $120. By the way, on the menu it stats tips and gratuity not included, we felt robbed by her action and will not be back to this establishment.“

It is a must-have on your plate. If you are going to have two side items, you better include the Collier Greens with the Mac and Cheese. Those tender, mouth-watering, perfectly seasoned green with the aroma that is reminiscent of holidays and Sunday dinner being cooked in the kitchen. I told the owner and Chief Bryant “Chef Baul” Williams that his Mac and Cheese and Greens made me want to go home and question my grandmother's Mac and cheese and Greens. He looked into my eyes and said, "No... Franco don't do that. " He knew that was grounds for Grandma to disown me with one backhand slap. I can't put in words how good the crispy batter of the fish that falls apart on your plate once your folks cut into it. I have to emphasize the seasoning, the flavor, the touch is so delightful and tasty that I refuse to dilute the dish by putting any type of condiments on it. I couldn't tell the difference between this fish and any fish from some of the best seafood restaurants in Savannah, GA that I have had. Whatever you get is going to be an excellent buy. I have been running through the menu like a mailman running from a pit bull thinking, "What's next!" If you buy lobster, fish, wings, or turkey, of anything it is date night restaurant food. The food is a reflection of Chelf Baul global and culinary experience that should have a location on Chicago's "Magnificent Mile" and Los Angeles Rodeo Drive. All too often, many people come to Atlanta and stand on the shoulders of Atlanta's spirit to support businesses when the individuals are not from Atlanta nor identify with their customers. Whatever you do, don't miss out on the wonderful experience food experience. There are so many options on the menu. A true Ginuwine Atlanta native who speaks your language and knows your heart, soul, palate, and stomach that has perfected Georgia, southern cuisine, national, and international dishes. Don't support him because he is an independent Black business owner, support him because the food is so good that you will question every dish that you have had until you taste Binky's. Binky's is the place to go.“

“What can I say… the food AMAZING. Customer service…. BEYOND AMAZING! This was my first time at this establishment and I was not disappointed at all! My friend ordered the strawberry shortcake French Toast and I was skeptical to try it because I figured it would be too sweet. But nope. It was PERFECT. It reminded me of a cream cheese pastry but more fluffy, flavorful, and with sweetness of strawberries. I ordered the salmon croquettes and scrambled eggs. Both dishes were cooked to perfection! I’m not a fan of everyone’s salmon croquettes (I only like my mom’s) but these were seasoned so well that I didn’t need my usual mustard and hot sauce LOL! Needless to say, the food, ambience, and customer service were absolutely amazing. I will definitely be back! Chef Marlo is a BEAST in that kitchen!!!“

“I tried this place for lunch and I am glad I made the trip. Their service was friendly and answered my questions about possible options to get. I went with the jerk ribs rice & peas cabbage and a side of plantains. The only thing that was left were the bones. Sure enough some of that sauce was on my shirt. If you pick up the ribs with your hands just be ready to catch them with your plate. They fall off the bone type of ribs. There was some bbq sauce but blended well with the season. The cabbage was seasoned and tasted freshly cooked. Let's talk about the plantains. Perfectly cut and cooked. I can't even get that can of plantain quality in a Spanish restaurant. Best I have had. They do have a lunch special and plenty of side options. My only regret is not trying their juice. Next time I am trying the jerk chicken and stew.“

In recent years though we've had a plethora of "Soul Food" joints pop up the most known are Peach Cobbler and the more superior the Collard Green Cafe'. Their tagline is the most appropriate you'll ever find, "You won't find a Can-opener in our kitchen!!" Being a vivid Seafood lover I browsed the menu online before coming in to try the Trout and was stunned. Absoutely fresh-fresh and I'd know with sides like sweet potatoes and signature Collard greens prepared with smoked turkey you'd find only at Thanksgiving Dinner in an upscale African-American household. Extremely busy it would be smart to browse their menu but trust me once you eat the food, only then you'll understand why the Collard Green Cafe' is by far the most superior "Soul Food" restaurant in the Atlanta metropolitan area, hands down! “I visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening and the restaurant had a brisk clientele. The waitress came to our table immediately and asked for our drink orders and brought them back very quickly. I ordered the above items and in less than 15minutes i had my order and it was hot and seasoned to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a quick wholesome meal, with all taste you remember from growing up.“
