“UPDATE APRIL 21. 2026:
I went back to Soulbox Soulfood this afternoon. I ordered smothered pork chops that included rice. My two sides were cornbread dressing with gravy and zucchini with onions. Also included cornbread, butter for the cornbread and cranberry sauce.
OMG! Soulbox Soulfood doesn't disappoint!! Once again, a phenomenal delicious meal. Big portions too!! This is the best soul food restaurant I've ever ate! If you don't know about this spot, please check them out. They are not too for from Clark Atlanta University. Even tho I live in Henry county, I will be visiting Soulbox Soulfood every chance I get. I want to try EVERYTHING on the menu so that will take some time to do.

First time visiting this past Thursday, Feb 5, 2026. I had a doc appointment at Emory and remembered I wanted to try this spot after seeing a post on Instagram and reading the reviews. I ordered my food to go and didn't take the pic of the food until I got back home. I ordered smothered fried ribs, black eyed peas and cornbread dressing. It also came with rice and cornbread. Its really a lot of food for $30 and its worth that too. It was SOOO DELICIOUS!! I will be back! Even tho I live in Henry county, its really not that far. Especially for good food! There are so many other dishes and sides I want to try. There is a large variety and even vegetarian options. They have turkey wings and turkey ribs too and I can wait to try! Shrimp, fish, chicken, yummy sides...don't miss out! This spot isn't fancy, but I truly didn't mind! Not everyone can have a fancy restaurant and what matters to me is the food and is the place clean! So don't pass on this place if you love delicious soul food!! I'll be back!“

“Ok, honestly the location seemed a little sketchy at first, but boy am I glad we stopped in!!! We ordered the catfish, oxtail, greens, yams, mac & cheese, rice. EVERYTHING was hittin! “This is the best bar on the southside. Manny is the best bartender in my opinion. He always acknowledges you when you come in and makes sure you have a good time. Nick and a few other staff also are good about stepping in to help out it make's your experience great. This bar gives you that home away from home vibe most of us in our 30s look for.“

“I have ordered from her several times. We have tried several things, so here you go: Wings (honey hot are the bomb), beef hot dogs and fries are good. Turkey wings were good but could've been more tender. Cabbage and Mac and cheese (nah, not good) Philly Cheese Steak ( salty as hell) Do Not Try if you have Diabetes. Definitely a waste of money. Cornbread Dressing tasted more like cornbread (says my husband) Her customer service is GREAT!!! She's friendly and understanding. We will definitely order again. We'll just order what we know is good.“

“I Was Completely Blown Away At This Restaurant. I Was Sat By A Beautiful Host Which Turn Out To Be My Server. Renisha Was Very Knowledgeable About The Ga Craft Beers. “Based on experience, when a business brag on their food, it usually doesn’t measure up. Happy to say, this was not the case with Screen House. The smoked wings and ribs were flavorful. When you don’t need sauce, it’s truly a sign of well seasoned meat. Although the Mac and cheese and greens were not the freshest, they were still tasty and I’ll attribute it to the time of day. I will absolutely add the restaurant to my rotation and look forward to tasting other delicacies.“

“This was my first time visiting, and I was pleasantly impressed from the moment I walked up. Although it’s not a dine in it’s very welcoming. You place your order at the window and there is an covered outside eating area. I arrived about an hour before closing, and unlike many restaurants where options become limited near the end of the day, they still had a great selection of sides and entrées available. That immediately made a positive impression on me.

I ordered a veggie plate with black-eyed peas, cornbread dressing, and potato salad, along with an extra side of broccoli casserole. Every single item was delicious. The cornbread dressing was moist and seasoned perfectly. The potato salad was absolutely on point something that many places don’t quite get right, but they definitely did. The broccoli casserole was perfectly baked, flavorful, and a great addition to the meal.

What really put the icing on the cake was the customer service. The owner was personable, friendly, and approachable, which added to the overall experience. As someone who truly appreciates both quality food and excellent customer service, I left very satisfied. I don’t have any photos because I was too busy eating.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience with great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again in the near future.“
