“Both of the beat and arugula challenge were very good, I thought the full size could have been improved upon it was pretty small but the salad was very good. My wife had the beef tips with noodles she said it was very good. I had the curry with basmati rice it was very good it was spiced perfectly it was a little rich for my liking but it was very good.“

“We had a wonderful dinner at 80 Ocean. The gluten-free menu is excellent, and they’re very accommodating—happy to modify dishes if needed. I had a side salad and the redfish, which came with creamed corn and mushrooms. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. We also shared the gluten-free meatballs and GF rolls—both were fantastic!

My husband ordered the crab cakes (not gluten-free) and the cream cheese mashed potatoes, which he really enjoyed.

The ambiance was lovely, especially with the outdoor seating near the pool area we were just inside the doors in a small nook that was quaint. A special shoutout to the kind young man opening the front door—he was a delight. We ended up having a great conversation with him while waiting for our hotel shuttle, and it meant a lot, especially since he was working on the 4th of July.

Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and dietary needs, though he seemed a bit rushed and not overly friendly. It was a busy holiday, so we completely understand and appreciate the service regardless.

“The convention center is fantastic—always clean, with plenty of parking available. How can you complain when the beach is just steps away? After your convention, you can jump in the ocean or take a walk and rinse off at the beach. It doesn't get any better than this!“

“I’m a very opinionated person and I’m tough to be completely impressed with a restaurant, but this place was awesome. I was at first concerned as my family was would we like the food. Well just to let everyone know if you like trying new stuff or like to experience different food this is the place to go. I’ve never gave a restaurant a 5 thumbs up 👍🏼, but I was so impressed and my 12 year old granddaughter was also as much as my cousin and her 17 year old daughter. The vibe was awesome the waitress and manager made us feel so welcome even the hostess was really friendly. We sat outside and it was so relaxing and cozy. I can’t even brag enough on the food, workers, and the atmosphere there. We are already planning birthday trips and having family join us for the experience. “I live out of town & go to Brunswick at least once every week & eat at Maggie Mae’s. They are so nice, very fast service, always checking on you & the food is Amazing! I definitely recommend them!! They even serve breakfast all day. I just wish they were open later. Sometimes my appointments are after 2 pm & they’re closed so I miss out but I always eat here whenever I can! “Great night, great food, Harrison our waiter, and all his coworkers were exceptional! We had a great seat by the beautiful fireplace, and the beer is fabulous! The Blueberry was my favorite! The potatoe ship skillet, Brussels sprouts, beet hummus and veggies, stuffed pretzel , and Caesar salad were awesome! Can’t wait to go back !“

“Our second trip to GSG was not as pleasant as the first. Our table was plagued with several flies that harassed us our entire meal, I actually dispatched an ant crawling on the table too. Our smoked fish dip appetizer was extremely “fishy” like it was made with mullet or something. It was not good. We each tried one taste and left it alone. The crab stew was great. My triple tail special was great. My daughter’s bacon poached salmon was supposed to be prepared medium, but it was rare…very. So, I wound up trading her a portion of my dinner so she would not have to eat almost raw fish. Overall, I expected much more consistent greatness given the difficulty we have had obtaining a reservation. Disappointed“

“We have been going to the island for many years and have never stopped at HDA. What a mistake! My wife and I just wanted a simple meal at a good price. We did not even look at the hours but rolled up at 2:00 pm, their closing time. The ladies were so kind and did not say a word that they were closing. We both got jumbo dogs with the fixings and potato salad. I then noticed the hours and apologized but they were happy to serve us. Food was delicious and we sat on the deck with our lab and watched the world go by. Ladies offered our pup a treat as well. This is now a definite stop for us on the island.“

“The River Bar is a terrific lobby option at The Cloisters Sea Island. The friendly professional staff greets you at the host stand and at the bar. We enjoyed a quick burger and beer our first night at the resort. We especially loved their three appetizer bowl with pickled beans, and two bowls of peanut. The bar area also has ample tables and a gorgeous dining room with a roaring fireplace. Very posh decor.

“On the trip home we stopped in Brunswick GA area off I-95 for Breakfast at Waffle House! We do not have one of these in Ripley and the kids LOVE LOVE LOVE Some waffles! Deacon went with Chocolate Chip Waffles *very surprised Saige didn't she's a chocolateholic! But she went with regular Waffles and both had Bacon as their sides with Deacon choosing Sprite and Saige Apple Juice!
Kayla had a scrambled cheesy egg with sausage, toast and hash browns with cheese and water! I went with Fried Egg, Bacon and Toast!
The waitress was very attentive and helpful! She was so friendly! The restaurant was very clean and orderly! Definitely would stop again and recommend to anyone traveling in the area!“

“I had the most exceptional experience here. Did you know someone on the Island makes their chocolate? Our chef was incredible. The meat was perfectly cooked, The sauces better than I have had in flavor and delivery. The wine is superb in selection. The decor is hands down some of the most beautiful atmosphere I have ever been in. If you can get in, you must have dessert! You cannot get this chocolate anywhere else.“

“Was excited to try after reading reviews. Seated quickly and server took drink orders. Then the world stopped. After waiting 55 minutes we inquired about our order and learned from the hostess there was no “cook” in the kitchen. This became apparent when we noticed only one table in the entire restaurant, both inside and outside, had food on the table. Sadly, the food we did see didn’t look particularly good either. Plenty of other dining establishments nearby…do yourself a favor take a pass on this place! 1/17/23“

“Finally went to The Ocean Lodge last night with my great friend, and we were both so pleasantly surprised. The views are simply spectacular, and to be honest the food,music, and drinks were totally amazing! I was expecting very little with the food and the service, but it was phenomenal. Service was average, I had called days in advance to reserve indoor window seating to celebrate our Anniversary. I had planned a whole “thing” I was going to do near the stunning view of the window for the wife. When we arrived they pulled our information and one lady asked us “indoor or outdoor?” The other hostess told her the system said “indoor with window seating” and gave her a look of disappointment. As they walked me to my sitting area it was not window seating and table was wobbly. I was unable to do my whole “thing” I had planned and just started off the evening not on a good start, but drinks made up for it 🤷‍♂️😒“

“I went rather late to dinner and when I got there, it took a good little while before someone greeted me and then seated me. Then once I got seated it was a little while before my waiter showed up but he was sweet and took good care of me thereafter. The food was excellent as always. The atmosphere was a little bland. There were a lot of large groups there tonight but they weren't noisy. They just took up the staff's time, energy, and attention. I don't normally go this late in the evening so I don't know if this is normal or not. I would go again earlier in the evening.“
