Back in 2012, I discovered All Island Cafe and their jerk chicken and oxtails. I loved it so much that I moved to Stone Mountain and lived there for 3 years just so I could enjoy the food. 😂

Since then, I've lived in 6 different states in the USA and even spent half a year in Jamaica. And still, even after moving to this new location, you truly have the best oxtails.

“First time here and food is delicious and authentic!
I’m very picky about Jamaican food/restaurants and this place doesn’t disappoint on the flavors.

I always go basic with my first order, white rice with various gravy to see if their flavors are legit before investing into a whole plate with meat or veggies I may not like. Curry chicken, oxtail, brown stew, and jerk sauce were all delicious over plain rice which means their quality is alright with me.“

“My family and I a total of ten of us dined at this restaurant. O my goodness, the food was delicious. We started off with some appetizers, spring roll and jerk chicken plantain nachos. They were delicious and filling. We ordered dinner and had to take it home, we were so stuffed. The manager Deja and hostess Desiree were exceptional. “I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

“I'm not sure what they did with those sides items but my side dishes stayed HOT my entire meal and it was cold in the building. I know I stayed in the restaurant eating my food for about 30-40 min, usually your food is not smoking, sizzling, hot to touch after about 5-10 mins. I had to blow my food before eating with every bite, even when I put it in my to go container, it was still steaming hot!

Then I arrived after me more people came kept coming in and she never dropped her composure. “We had an amazing experience at this place last weekend. We all went there as a group of friends last Saturday and the whole group could not stop talking about the food for a whole week!!! Our favorite was the pate kòde, hands down the best I’ve ever had in the states!!!!! I also had some lalo but it was a little bitter, hopefuly they fix it after. My husband had the turkey tassot as a fritay platter and it was delicious!!!! My son had the diri kole and ate the whole bowl by himself. The rice is soooo good, don’t even need any gravy to eat with it! The sos pwa was delicious as well! Our friend had the kabrit (goat) and it was also delicious!!! Finally, the customer service was great and the owner is supper sweet and patient. I just found my new favorite restaurant in the area, can’t wait to be back this weekend!!!!!!“

I truly love Spice It Up! 😍🔥 My absolute favorite meal is the Jerk Chicken Wings with Cabbage and Mac & Cheese. The wings are packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and always cooked just right. The cabbage and mac & cheese are the perfect sides to complete the meal!

I went at lunchtime and was hungry for Oxtail. However, the Oxtail wasn't ready and I had to wait 30 minutes for it. I took off one star for the restaurant not properly timing the dishes to be ready at lunchtime. (I believe all dishes should be available at lunchtime!)

“Want to take a trip to Jamaica, just to eat REAL Jamaican food?

That is the experience you will have at Tastee's. For years, the owner and master cook does jerk chicken the REAL Jamaican way. He uses real Hickory wood for smoke and taste, that is how it should be done in America. Pimento wood ia used in Jamaica because it is readily available. Hickory tastes better, though. Real oxtail, real ackee and saltfish, absolutely the best cabbage and real Jamaican herbal tonics real soursop drinks and sea moss.

Don't waste time any where else. If you want to eat take out from a real Jamaican then go to Tastee's. This establishment is not really set up for fine dining, as are most real Jamaican restaurants in America.
