“This place is a great small business, I believe it's ran by husband and wife. In terms of service they are so kind and accommodating. I ordered online and didn't realize they had a lunch special, so I ordered something that would be considered the lunch special w/o the soup and salad + rate. When I went to pick up the kinda lady informed me to order the lunch special and even offered to get me a soup and salad.

Food is 10/10. I love the sushi it taste fresh and authentic. I enjoy it every time I've ordered from here!“

“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“

“Amazing sushi! I was nearby for a conference and discovered this place at the food hall in Colony Square. I wasn’t incredibly hungry and ordered the Sashimi sampler and miso soup. Both great! The sashimi sampler is a great choice when you can’t decide between which fish to order. My go-tos are yellowtail and tuna but man, the salmon was delicious and better than most places I’ve ordered salmon from. All the fish I had was super fresh! The staff was super friendly! Dressing was a perfect amount. Ordered 3 rolls and they were executed well. Everything came out orderly and on time. Our server Carolina was wonderful and attentive. I ordered both in person and via the app in the past week. Definitely prefer the app rather than the dry erasable menu method inside.
Very business like and efficient atmosphere, with all the effort going into prepping your food.
Since we're dealing with mostly raw fish, I appreciate the attention to detail, but a touch more of personality wouldn't hurt.
Take out vibe for sure, but I'm all about eating my fresh fish right after it's prepared, so I embrace the tiny doctors office cups for water, sit inside and smash those bowls! Delish.“

Huge variety on their menu - plenty for the non-sushi lover too. But come for the special rolls...they are some of the most creative you'll see anywhere!“

We have used Okinawa Austell 3 times now, and everytime, without fail, they have given us delicious perfection! And their lunch prices are extremely affordable, even for us! We average 30 to 35 orders each time! Everything is always packaged so we can identify each order easily, and there have been ZERO mistakes or complaints. Zero complaints! Chase is always spectacular with his customer service and attention to detail. I wish i could remember the names of the other people whom ive interacted with. They were just as pleasant and helpful. I cant say enough about how much we love Okinawa Austell! Their Dallas Hwy location is also a gem. My sister and I used to go there at least once a month. It was our favorite sushi spot! It appears that Okinawa provides excellence no matter which location you go to! I would give more stars if I could!“
