“I went to City BBQ ( Woodstock) for the first time on Veterans Day. Being a vegetarian I thought I would pick up my Veteran’s Day meal minus the sandwich. But, Stephanie was so kind, she chatted with her manager and was able to swap the sandwich for a side. She thank me for my service with true sincerity. I had no idea the sides were so good!! I came back again today and Stephanie greeted me with the same kindness and sincere friendliness I experienced on Veteran’s Day. I watched her show the same kindness to others. Her energy truly changes the atmosphere, and her willingness to go the extra mile for a Military Veteran and vegetarian completely changed my view of City BBQ!“

“Did the Brunch buffet today. Everything I sampled was good to excellent. Definitely no complaints. All the staff were helpful, courteous, and smiling. JD even played a pinball game with my 2 grandsons. My only complaint, if you want to call it that,was being charged for ice tea. Trust me, that won't stop us from going again. EXCELLENT!!“

“We had such a great experience thanks to our hostess, Faith Parem. She was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. You can tell she really cares about the guests and pays attention to the little details that make a difference.

And fun bonus: Faith also makes really good butter! Sounds random, but it was actually delicious and added a special touch to the meal.

“I’ve eaten several times and every meal has been delicious. You can tell they know what they are doing and really care about the food tasting really good. The food is prepared very well and simply delicious. The service is fantastic. I highly recommend eating here.
I routinely get the mac n cheeses and coleslaw to go for family outings and get togethers. Today I had ribs, tender and delicious, man n cheese (always killer!) and brisket chili which was really tasty! I like that they don’t try and re-invent anything, they just produce excellent tasting food. As I sat eating lunch, I was struck by how many people came in to pick up a to go order presumably for some big event. The exact thing I was doing. Food is fantastic!!“

“Last week stopped by Big Shanty Smokehouse in Kennesaw, Georgia. I’ve been going here for years and always has been one of my favorite places in Georgia. Paul Holden of Willingham's World Champion BBQ recently took over as the new owner in August and excited to see what he continues to bring. He’s top notch pitmaster in the competition world but also has been in the restaurant business as well. I got the brisket which was amazing and also some of their signature Turkey ribs (Friday Special) and of course some Brunswick stew and Mac & Cheese. Everything was very good and will be back soon. Currently they are open Wed-Thursday 11am-2pm & Friday-Saturday 11am-7pm. (So stop by and see them.) If you’re looking for real barbecue, look no further. From the moment you walk in, the smell alone lets you know you’re in for something special. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ribs were perfectly smoked with just the right amount of bark, and the sides — don’t even get me started on the mac and cheese and cornbread. You can tell they put love and patience into every plate they serve.

The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home, like we were old friends dropping by for a meal. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and every bite was packed with flavor. Easily one of the best BBQ experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be coming back (and bringing more friends with me)!

“I’m giving a 5 because normally it is a five however I got what I normally get which is half slab and 2 sides and it wasn’t hot at all not sure what happened the last time I visited I even followed 2 people that walked out and paid for thier meal because of my belief in how good this food is I always promote them on my tik tok page so when I placed my order the lady said hey ur the TIK TOK BOY yea she said BOY this was the moment I decided I won’t come back haven’t been called boy since I was a boy but I’ve always gotten great service and hot food maybe they was having a bad day and learn how to address men as men NOT BOYS“

“My party walked in and placed a pretty sizable order. We sat down and realized the restaurant was closing in 5 minutes. I apologized and told the cashier we would take it to go- we had no idea they were closing. All of the staff were genuinely kind and accommodating, inviting us to dine in if we’d like. The service is always good and the food comes out quick. Brunch is my new favorite. The crab cake was great quality big portion and the avacado toast was phenomenal. “I want to preface this review by saying “I’m just glad I don’t have to drive all the way to Kennesaw or Decatur for Korean anymore!” We went for lunch. As my husband is fluent in Korean and has a background there, we have had our fair share of immersive Korean experiences and food from many locales. Our server - Aiden - was excellent. He was chill, knowledgeable, and well mannered. The banchan was very good - slightly Americanized but very good. Saying “slightly Americanized” is not an insult. You have to create food that would invite people to eat it and try new things while not turning people away due to flavor profiles not typically accepted in the US (e.g., memil muk). This restaurant is exactly as described - it is a K-POP Korean barbecue. If you’re looking for a fried fish, a raw egg in your rice, etc. this isn’t it. All of the servers are not Korean (there is not a huge population of Korean people nearby to hire from). You should be prepared to do the cooking yourself but they’re helpful and will show you how to do it - no cross contamination, using scissors, where it’s hottest on the grill, etc. Overall, we were very happy with our experience there and I’m sure we will not only be repeat customers but will take many friends with us there over time.“

Amazing staff, and best quality food of any other place in town, trust me I would know after living here for roughly 20 years. Not saying any of the other places are bad, but if you got the same dish from here and literally any other place in canton, this would win a blind taste test every single time.
