“this place is a little tucked in the back behind the other carts selling every souvenir imaginable, but was 100% worth sticking it thru and trying to find them at the end. the flavors were top notch, and the lady selling them was a delight. i got some sort of gummy cubes on mine as well as this marshmallow seeming things that were fantastic. I will shout form the roof tops that Hawaiian shave ice is leaps and bounds better than any snow cone on the mainland.“

A lot of times, they are unique twists on American or European desserts. This place is no exception and does it well. I had a mango Dole Whip with a mochi waffle pop. I love the fact that they make the mochi waffle fresh, so you get the hot waffle next to that cold Dole Whip. Great combination. At about $7, it isn't bad considering they are making something fresh for you versus just scooping out something into a cup and sending you on your way. The staff was friendly and showed care in their preparation of my order. There is a good assortment of different offerings, so you'll find something for just about any taste moods.“

My two sons enjoyed a strawberry & chocolate ice cream, & I had me their delicious “black sesame” ice cream. The black sesame is a must try! “I was lucky enough to be gifted the Bibingka Brownies by a family member. And omg, it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. Moist, not too sweet, delectable and perfect!!!! I looked up this business and saw all the unique ice cream pie and ice cream cake flavors and am planning a trip to Honolulu soon to taste everything on the menu!!! “I got the mango cheesecake ice wave—a combo of shave ice, ice cream, real mango chunks, and little cheesecake bits. It wasn’t overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The smooth ice cream and fluffy shave ice helped balance out the mango and cheesecake. The shop is small and very Instagramable, with cute little kawaii items for sale adorning the walls—like a mini hydro flask! They also have a dairy-free soft serve, which is awesome. Please note, it’s Venmo or cash only. It’s a bit pricey, but you do get a lot for it.“

“Our family loves to come here anytime we are shopping at Ala Moana. We are never disappointed with the menu selection. This visit we had the Portobello Mushroom Pasta and Margherita Pizza and the Moscow Mule. Both entrée arrived at our table piping hot. The ingredients were fresh and tasty! Service was friendly and patient. Was able to try many flavors before selecting and ordering.

Portions were surprisingly larger than anticipated in comparison to other ice cream and gelatos shops in honolulu. Even the small had quite a bit of gelato in it and we could have gotten one scoop of two different flavors. Instead I just ordered the strawberry yogurt but it was good so no regrets. They also give you a small wafer with each item purchased, which was cool.

“While visiting Hawaii and staying in the Ala Moana area, I decided to stop by the Yoajung ice cream store since it was close to our hotel. I was craving something sweet yet refreshing, so I decided to order the choco strawberry cup, and it did not disappoint because it was delicious and refreshing! “Was charged once for a medium strawberry smoothie with banana added. Cashier was busy making the drink , saw the approved sign but was asked to re insert my card again. I have the receipt for Second transaction. Looked at my bank statement online and saw 2 pending transactions from the same establishment. I called in and asked the worker that there is two pending transactions and that I should give it 24hrs. Well 24 hrs went by and the first transaction that was approved went through. Tried calling the establishment but no answer. I got my refund and the cashier working was really friendly and helpful.“

“The staff was very friendly and informational I was greeted once I walked in the door and let known I could sample two of the flavors. I instantly gravitated towards the yuzu lemon and also altered the vegan mountain apple sorbet. The staff let me know someone brought in a bunch of local mountain apple that they used in the recipe. Kept his composure, greeted and thanked customers. Serviced a continuous line BY HIMSELF. Which included taking orders, making orders and cashiering, AGAIN BY HIMSELF. Did an amazing job. Not only has to be his own security for safety purposes but wow he deserves a raise. Then he has to close the place alone. Thats a lot of responsibility. “Our group had a craving for pizza and we stumbled on Lewers. The person working the storefront accommodated our half/half all meat/pepperoni pizza and it was ready in about 25-30 minutes. The crust was floppy but the cheese and toppings were flavorful and not too greasy/oily. It was a pleasant find.“

“This has to be the best thing Kith has ever come up with, ice cream and cereal together! Hands down, it is still the best ice cream I have ever had in my life. I first tried it in NYC and ever since I make it a point to visit Kith Treats whenever I am in a state that has one. It is always on my itinerary.

In this photo I tried all of Hawaii’s exclusive flavors and my favorite has to be the Lihing! You have to try it yourself. Yes it is $10 a swirl but honestly I would pay that every single time because it is just that good.“
