“Excellent food and service. My wife and I were there for the Navy’s 248th Birthday Meal. The beef, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, corn, vegetables, and salad were delicious. Good crab legs though a bit salty. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere.“

“Super solid lunch stop. Was on base w fellow contractors for a project and ended up eating here and sharing in good conversations. I was impressed by the politeness of other customers - two separate white men yielded to me and offered for me go ahead of them in the order line :o

I got the Italian chicken panini and it was just what I needed (filling and good source of protein).

“My now husband and I had our wedding rehearsal lunch here on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Their restaurant was my first choice and they were so accommodating! We had a private indoor space with an oceanfront lanai to mingle on. Jenni, who is the manager, and her employees went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The plumeria buffet was delicious, the drinks and souvenir cups were amazing, and the restaurant had such a relaxed ambience with such a beautiful view for pictures on the patio! Jenni and her team were outstanding, and the venue is highly recommended!“

“We are total tourists and stopped here because we wanted Poke and it was close to the USS Arizona. The staff were great with their recommendations. I had Poke nachos and my wife had the Poke bowl. Don’t think you would go wrong eating here.“

“TLDR: Melissa is AWESOME! But, if you are gluten free (ie no soy sauce with wheat) or allergic to mushrooms, you can’t eat here.

My husband and I combined have those allergies and Melissa was very kind to ask the chef if we could be accommodated. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible. Melissa was so respectful of how she informed us - aaaaaaand then offered us a complimentary cocktail (which was on point) and a reservation down the road at a nice restaurant that she knew could accommodate our allergies!

I don’t envy her for effectively having to kick us out, but she (and the entire staff) were so gracious to us. Thank you Melissa!“

“Great service, and really good burgers. I got the aloha burger with bacon and egg added and that burger absolutely did not disappoint, probably the best burger I ever ate hands down. We also got the keiki sliders and a teriyaki burger they both were good too. The burgers and fries were both hot and fresh.“

“Food and service was extraordinary! Welcomed with Mariposa's signature ‘popovers' that simply melted in your mouth! Scallops were chosen as the main course-in two distinct dishes (one very rich and the other -creamy, curry and spicy). Presentation was exquisite-everything was prepared to ‘perfection' and tasted wonderful. Audrey was incredibly helpful and responsive (as were the other Mariposa servers). The setting, ambience, FOOD & SERVICE all contributed to an enjoyable and special birthday celebration. Definitely one of our most memorable lunches in a very long time! Mahalo nui loa!“

We had the Risotto (super creamy), the lobster ravioli special (best ever) and the Tavern Burger (perfectly done and an out of this world bun). It was a Monday night and pretty slow inside, but more people need to be coming here, highly recommended.“

Del is an amazing human being who treats all his customers like family- remembering how people like their orders, remembering names and faces even when he doesn’t see you all the time, and making sure your order is perfect. “I arrived at 11 am and they were already sold out on all their food except for the beef stew, so I bought the beef stew with once scoop of rice and macaroni salad and green salad, which came to $11. The server was very nice in explaining about what she got left and she gave so much that I was barely able to finish and the food was very good. This is a definitely a hidden cheap eats gem in Waipahu.“

“Ruby Tuesday in the Moanaloa shopping center is fantastic. A lot of military members and their families eat there. They are responsive to large groups who gather to eat as well as have short meetings during their time there. And, use of their robots to carry the meals to the table saves the wait staff's backs!“

“Can’t really say to much about the service and atmosphere because it was take out but staff was friendly and we revived our food In a timely way. The kalua nachos are great, the cheese and ingredients are mixed throughout the nachos and not just stack in top leaving nothing on the bottom like other places. Would recommend.“

Valet parking had my car for me everyday by the time I got downstairs. View from our room was absolutely amazing. Room was spacious and clean with housekeeping offered everyday of our stay. Free water bottles in room with filling stations throughout the hotel. Very centrally located so easy to walk to stores, activities, restaurants. would stay 100 more times!“

“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

Their small kitchen limits the menu choices, but what they offer is tasty and reasonably priced. The pleasant customer-oriented staff has made it serve as a home away from home for us, and we have always felt welcomed. If/when they leave, they will be sorely missed.“
