It’s take out only right now but the park across the street offers the most amazing views of the cliffs and the ocean. Find a picnic table or bring and blanket. I guarantee it won’t disappoint. “Golden Pho has quickly become my favorite pho restaurant in the area. I’ve tried several local spots, but the broth here stands out for its rich, comforting flavor. Every bowl felt warm, nourishing, and genuinely homemade—it was truly soup for the soul.

“SO DELICIOUS! They have so many good thai options to choose from. We got egg rolls, pad thai noodles and green curry. The kids loved egg rolls, pad Thai noodles, and frankly so did I. The pad Thai noodles was flavorful, will 100% be ordering it again! Egg rolls and green curry were both awesome too, you really can’t go wrong with anything from this place!“

“Lived in Kaneohe for over a yea without trying this place. I went today and the food was good and the service was excellent. Didn’t dine in but I saw how cordial and friendly the staff were. They knew so many people by name and were very friendly to everyone.

I wish I tried sooner because the spicy salmon and udon are delicious.

“This shop has been here for decades. You will always find wonderful things to eat. Take out and cash only. I recommend their spring and summer rolls. Tasty and filling. They have the usual Ba-Le menu and have added several Chinese dish selections which are also delicious. Not sure if they still do it, but in the past, they grew all their own Basil, mint and green onions. A very dedicated couple of owners who have weathered the pandemic and continue to provide that old familiar taste and service that we have come to know.“

With the first bite you could tell just how fresh it was - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Just a heads up, there might be small hard time understanding sometimes due to the owner's accent. But be patient, communication works out, and the food is absolutely worth it. Parking can be tricky - it's one of those places we only go to when we see a spot open. We got lucky yesterday with an empty space, but two trucks swooped in as soon as we pulled in! “Picked up party trays for a small New Year's celebration. The food was delicious and all our favorites: chicken katsu, gyoza, pork fried noodles, shabu beef curry. The curry can be messy in a tray but they double-wrapped it in foil to keep it from spilling. It is the best curry anywhere. Everyone at Sumo Ramen Kaneohe is always willing to do whatever it takes to make us happy. The prices are good too. They made our New Year special.“

He recommended 2 places, (I won't say the other one on this review, but it was also excellent!) He brought us to Coral Kingdom for the Huli Huli Chicken. It was so flavorful, juicy and delicious! “We have lived in Kāneʻohe for more than 15 years, and throughout that time, we have wished for a local restaurant with great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and affordable prices. With Munga, I finally feel that we have found it.

To be honest, I am often skeptical of pan-Asian restaurants because trying to cover several cuisines can sometimes result in mediocre food across the board. What is so surprising about Munga is that they genuinely seem to pull it off. Their sushi is very good, their Thai dishes are excellent, and we have also really enjoyed their Chinese dishes.

If you have not been yet, I strongly recommend giving Munga a try. I am really rooting for this restaurant to succeed so that we can continue to count on having a delicious, affordable, and welcoming option close to home—without having to drive all the way into town.“

“Reminds me of being in Japan at a small quaint intimate shop that also serves the best domburi on island. YES THE BEST! Service is always great and friendly, and food is always great! Sometines it may take a while if going around closing time or when short staffed, but trust me it is always worth it. Miso butterfish is exceptional and brings to mind Shirokia top floor food court from back in the 90s as well as Tsukigi in Japan.

“Very yummy. I have the beef curry with the side of goyza and miso soup. The curry was amazing. The sauce of rich and not to thick. The beef was perfectly cooked, so tender! The veggies cooked really well and easy to eat. The miso soup was light and a perfect compliment to the curry's rich flavor. The goyza were cooked perfectly and had a great crunch.

“January 2026: Some workers barely speak and understand English. Depending on who is working the front of house, it may affect your experience and your order. But they are all very friendly. Smoothies are made with fresh fruits, not powder, and you can really taste the difference. The prices are all reasonable for the amount and quality you get. They have two tables that can seat 4 and one table that can seat 6. Otherwise, it's mostly a takeout type of restaurant. It's recommended to stand in line to order even if you're gonna dine-in.“
