“I wanted to go back and thank them for such an amazing meal. But I figured writing review was a better way to pay it forward. Get the ribeye and wasabi Katsu plate. The quality of their food and cooking methods rival that of any high-end restaurant on Maui. Probably better. Automatic ono.

“Tucked in the corner of the foodland produce section is the best poke I had my whole trip. I was waiting for one of the great restaurants I visited to beat it and while they were all good, this remained the winner. The service was also excellent. They were helpful and so nice. “Wow! The food at Balai Pata is spectacular! We also felt like it was a really cool designed restaurant with great vibes. Loved the garlicky malungay noodles. Lumpia was delicious. The bao buns were so soft and flavorful, the pork belly was incredibly tender. Someone in our party had the ramen and said it was very good. We also had a couple of specials — if the whole fried fish is available, definitely get it! We were blown away with the food here.

Parking: Easy parking right outside.

“I cried good tears this morning. I've never in my life cried because of how divine the food was. I ordered the crab cakes benedict, usually when I order crab cakes it's a hash brown with little bits of crab meat but this one is purely crab and it was so fresh like it was caught in the early hours before restaurant opened. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise sauce was heavenly. It was love on a plate, my compliments to the chef! Service was absolutely wonderful, lovely and welcoming ladies. They were very attentive and efficient. Mahalo nui loa! 🌺“
