“It’s a cute little town with a handful of galleries and other shops. Not to be missed is Popo’s cookies and Banana Patch ( if it’s still around with kauai made pottery)”

“Our tour stopped in Hanapepe and we came across Midnight Bear Breads. Such a cute little town and bakery. My aunt and I picked up some delicious fresh pastry and breads. We really enjoyed them for breakfast while we stayed on the island. Thank you for the amazing memories. We are back home in Oklahoma and dream of your goodies!”

“Fast, tasty, friendly, very good value for money
Parking: The restaurant itself only has 2 parking spaces, but there are plenty of free parking spaces along the street directly in front on both sides of the street”

“Oh my gosh, Taran and the fam have knocked it out of the park with everything at Bluebird! ???? We love that all the base recipes are made with dairy alternatives, so we were actually able to get a dairy free drink with peace of mind.
Seasonal pumpkin pie Nene is ? and the CROOKIE is true to its name because it’s gotta be illegal for one pastry to be that good ? Bluebird deserves your business- it’s a must-stop!”

“Best smoothie bowl I had while in Kauai, but also in Hawaii overall. I got the Gandhi bowl, which was phenomenal. I appreciated that the smoothie is made with oatmilk because it was more creamy, as opposed to the watery smoothie bases I had elsewhere. The toppings were generous and very well curated. They do not skimp! I had macadamia nuts in every bite, along with goji berries, papaya, banana, and granola. This place is well worth a stop before or after the Waimea Canyon. I hope I get to visit again someday!”

“We stumbled across Sugar Skull while on vacation. The carrot cake is the best I have ever had. We just had 12 packs of macaroons shipped to us for my son’s 14th birthday. He is in heaven!”

“After a long morning at Waimea State Park, I picked Da Booze Shop because the name made me laugh. Well the jokes on me because the food, service, and atmosphere were stellar! I have always loved eating in Mom and Pop places because they always have the best food. I got the Mahi Katsu and had enough leftover for a snack. If you are traveling with kids this is a great place to eat. You can eat across the street at the park and let the kids play and expend some energy.”

“Amazing food! Offered gluten free bread so I had my first clubhouse sandwich in years (with real turkey too)! Gravy was gluten free and the fries were homemade. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area.”

“Got a Passion Fruit Slushie and Açaí bowl! The lady working generously upgraded our drink to a large but the açaí bowl was frozen. I was expecting it to be fresh.”

“We walked around the corner, at the end of the street and found this gem. I LOVED hearing the kids, just being family. I was greeted kindly and got my order in a timely manner. The counter and side area where you can eat was clean. I can’t have dairy so I had just shave ice and it was so refreshing. The flavors blended well (I had coconut & lychee) and tasted yummy. My favorite part was the youngest daughter who definitely had the Aloha Spirit. She was practicing on her skates, helmeted of course, and talking to myself and another family. I asked about if she liked school and art (that’s what I teach), and her favorite flavor. It’s strawberry BTW I told my husband, she’s the original “Lilo”. I want to thank the family for making our day. Mahalo nui loa! ❤️”

“Filipino food is delicious..the lumpia, is delicious. Just like if we made it ourselves. I come from a big Filipino family. This food is definitely delicious…the pancit, chicken, pork adobo, the fried chicken and barbecue chopped pork was delicious. We ate here twice during our 7 day visit. If we were closer, probably more. They have the the nicest people who work there too. My husband accidentally left his bag there with cash, credit card, driver’s license and wallet inside. My husband did not know he left it until later in the day. He had his cell phone on him. We retraced our step from the beginning, Aaron’s restaurant was the first stop we made that day. When we got back to out hotel in Lihue, we called them and they had it. Luckily, it was the people at Aaron’s restaurant that found it and kept it safe until we called. Our trip, would have been a disaster . Again thank you for the delicious Filipino food and for keeping my husband valuables safe. Honest, hardworking, friendly and nice people.”

“This is some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. It was served at a friend's wedding, and I still dream about it. I recently visited Kauai again and brought home two pounds! I have it safely hidden in my pantry from other family members. 💙☕️”

“Hosts were nice, but very stand-off-ish. They tried to rush you (but maybe that's us thinking sit down means sit down haha). Food came out very quickly and they were very full portions (the amout of noodles per bowl were extremely generous) . I don't understand why some reviews say the broth was bland, but we tried 3 different ramens, and the broth was delicious in all of them. The seafood protein itself was meh, but broth was amazing and spicy, and the shoyu pork was very fatty and salty, but again, the broth was amazing. We would definitely go back again. Overall, a great ramen joint! Recommend a stop!
Oh, and the prices are spot on amazingly cheap! 3 full bowls of ramen for only $31! You can't get that EVER in Los Angeles!”
“Cute little shop that sold different cut fruit and smoothies. Bought sliced mango and a guava+pineapple+passion fruit smoothie, highly recommend both! Deliciously ripe and great after a hike in the canyon”
