“Great people great coffee“

“We stopped in the Kea'au deli to try out the food and we were pleasantly surprised with the selection even though we came later in the day so many things were sold out.We settled on two solids, a scone, and a portobello mushroom sandwich, all of which were delicious and the total was $30.There is not a sit-down area in this particular spot, so this is more of a takeaway station. They will heat up your sandwiches if needed, and they do fresh breakfast sandwiches and a variety of baked goods.The salad was really good, it was fig, spring mix, tomatoes and goat cheese with a house vinaigrette and it also comes with a sizable biscuit that was cheddar and rosemary.If you're looking for a quick takeaway lunch, this is great spot!

Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian focused sandwiches such as a portobello mushroom and a bunch of salads.

Wheelchair accessibility: There isn't a great option for wheelchair access, there is a parking spot that would allow offloading that isn't marked as wheelchair accessible, but there isn't a way to easily get into the storefront and items are high up.“

“I don't understand how "Da Bean" down da road is rated 4.8 and this place 4.2 on Google. Fantastic cold brew and Vietnamese Iced coffee and sandwich! All under 20 bucks. Very fast too. My only complaint is their drive through speakers suck I had to repeat my order 83747389384849394848448 times before they got it. Otherwise this place is way better than any other coffee shop around I've found so far.“

“It may be a food truck, but trust me, these folks take coffee culture to a level that makes Starbucks seem like kindergarten. My only complaint: how do you decide what to order when you literally want to try everything on the menu? Orange blossom or Black sesame latte? Thai iced tea (made with coconut milk) or Lilikoi Cheesecake frappucino? I finally went with the Vietnamese iced coffee. Never had it before, but knew that it would be crafted competently here. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this was the BEST espresso beverage I have ever tasted! Super bold espresso flavor tempered with exactly the right amount of sweetness and cream! Five stars is not enough for this business. I will definitely be a customer for life!

“It's literally the best coffee I've ever had...and consistently. I've been going since last year and it's blown me away every time. And I'm from Seattle...the coffee capital of the world. As well as went to coffee school when I became a barista in Seattle. I really think it has something to do with their like $25,000 machine because the actual coffere isn't specialty. It's really remarkable how crucial the machine is. Best coffee on Big Island, for sure. So much so that I felt I needed to write a review about it after a year of having it. ?❤️“

“I'm here now and I decided to leave this review right away. This is a courteous friendly crew that made me coming back to Starbucks. It may be me.....coming from Vegas where Starbucks employees are absolutely rude (then stick those payment machines with 15-20-25 percent tip buttons). I tried to tip here where it is well deserved but the cashier said "no tips but thank you for the thought". How's that for being courteous to a customer.“

“Paul's place is a cozy spot especially for brunch!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Mr. Paul himself with a bright smile and welcomed us into his place.

As we are in October, the place was decorated with fall decor.

The interior is set for 3 tables and a direct view as the chef cooks our meal right on the other side of the counter. It was a special experience as he explained each of his dishes on the menu and then interacted with us as he was preparing our meal.

We were there fairly early so was able to walk in but highly recommend to call in and set a reservation to ensure seating is available.

We ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with his special aioli sauce instead of the traditional hollandaise sauce.

Also ordered the pasta de Marco which he stated was his signature dish for breakfast. It was a unique dish featuring noodles pan fried with eggs to create a light crispy base topped with salmon, bacon, tomatoes, capers, mixed greens. It was delicious and would definitely order it again.

There is limited parking so may have harder time to find parking.

Paul was a phenomenal host and highly recommend others to come visit and enjoy his delicious creations.“

“Winter Roll is my favorite dish to order. Nobody in Hilo makes this. The nice gentleman always deliver my take out order to my car. Everyone here gives excellent service, everytime I go there!

“I'd like to recognize one of the workers France Vivien for being so polite and for working with us when our favorite drinks were out. She was by far the nicest Starbucks worker I've met. We enjoyed the drinks she recommended and her smiles made our day!“

“Oh my gosh…. Everything here was sooo good! We came in for brunch all had sandwiches. I got the Malibu… it was impressively delicious and bigger than expected. The sandwiches are a bit messy, but worth it! I grabbed a couple cookies on my way out; snickerdoodle and peanut butter. Both cookies were enormous and some of the best cookies I’ve had in a long time! Prices were reasonable, service was fast and friendly. There are maybe 10 tables inside and a few outside, and plenty of parking. I will definitely be back and I’ll surely bring all visiting friends and family here.“

The drinks are fantastic, the Garden Seating is beautiful and peaceful, it's attached to Mystic Closet which has super stylish clothes and accessories. “Had the mushroom omelette and the tempeh Reuben & both were great. The meat eater with me loved his burger. The house made cashew milk was unexpectedly delicious. The spicy pickles and hot sauce were great. Anyone who doesn’t like this place is seriously disturbed.“

There are other fun options for coffee with different syrups and some homemade food. This is a lovely little cafe!“

One is Thai, very good as well and another acai bowl place which we also love. I took a star because of the hours, twice now we have gone wanting this and they are closed?? “I tried the Pineapple Mint. Did not taste any pineapple. The flavor kinda reminds me of hibiscus tea and mint. Like I was just chewing gum and swallowed it. The mint stays with you. It is strangely good, and refreshing. Give yourself self a couple swigs to get used to it. Different weird and strange. Gonna try it with Sailor Jerry rum.“
