“This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). “A hidden gem on the island that everyone should try. Affordable fresh ahi and a lot more. We had a couple poke bowls and Ahi Sushi burritos which were fresh and very large in portion. Also very fairly priced. Highly recommend trying the Ahi Burritos the next time you have a chance! Had we found out about this place earlier in our trip we would have had it most likely every day!“

“My husband and I have been eating our way through the menu and haven't had a bad meal ever! It's my favorite place to eat on the island. My personal favorites are the deep fried mac n cheese or fries poutine appetizers, the duck or lamb dinners and always the cheesecake with bacon toffee or chocolate pudding. Drinks are fantastic and I love the infused smoked effects that can be added or the sweet martini drink on the dessert menu that tastes like drinking a snickerdoodle cookie. They have the biggest selection of whiskey, bourbon, scotch and rye around. A definate must try! It's truly the BOMB! ❤“

“Went here twice in 2 days for lunch. Monday had the Chicken Salad special for about $12.50. They were very good and the gave spicy mayo and a taco sauce in squeeze bottles to add as well as the salsa from the free chips. Great value. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Bathroom on side of building but clean and accesable only by key. Tuesday I had Chicken tacos special and wife again had the chicken salad. Tacos were not as good as the salad but were ok. Good food for reasonable price. Way better food than Kalypso or Kountry Kitchen.“

“Beautiful place to visit or stay in the Artist’s Cottage!“

“We visited the Big Island for a week before staying in Honolulu. A local resident suggested we visit Kīlauea Lodge gift shop for our souvenirs. We bought SO many quality items: sweatshirt, wind chimes, ceramic mugs, set of ceramic tiles (wall art), men’s hat, stuffed animal pig puppet, earrings, etc. There was a wide selection of items, many of them from local artists. We visited many shops and farmers markets while on our stay on Oahu and the Big Island, this gift shop was, by far, my favorite for gifts and souvenirs. The customer service was excellent. All fragile items were well wrapped and made it safely home to the mainland. The prices were a bit higher than I would have liked; however, for the quality I was willing to pay it. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to eat in the restaurant, which looked so warm and inviting. We look forward to trying it on our next visit.“

“I ordered the avocado Curry which is fantastic, especially fresh right there, I reheated it for dinner as well. Even the rice is perfectly cooked. I felt very appreciated and they were very helpful in helping me order.

Vegetarian options: This is a food truck that is not there. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are picnic benches in the park and it can be chilly outside or warm, but it is a wonderful experience with great food.“

“Cozy little restaurant with excellent food and service. Came for lunch after doing the volcano tour. Pizza was very good with lots of cheese and nice crust. Had the Kauai shrimp side which was excellent with loads of garlic and butter. One friend had the fish burger and thought it was fabulous as it had a large portion of grilled fresh fish and extremely tasty seasoned potatoes. Other friend enjoyed the bacon carbonara and only wished it had more cheese on top. Waitress was a delight and kind. Wonderful experience and if ever back to this side of the island again we will definitely stop in.“

“We had breakfast here. The cafe is clean and has the charm of a military canteen. The waitress was super nice, because they made our order wrong, but they cooked the food again without further ado.

“Ate in the more casual restaurant. No bookings, lucky enough to get a good table for sunset. Food was better than expected - decent burger (nothing special) and really good pizza. Atmosphere isn’t great and felt a little run down. Prices okay for the location“
