“We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and the dining experience was outstanding! The food was flavorful, delicious and looked like a piece of art. The live music added to the fine dining experience. To top off the evening the desserts were rich and yummy-but the "Wow" factor was the coffee we ordered served in a french press coffee maker! We will be back and bring our friends and family!”

“Visiting the big Island, stopped at this restaurant because the recommendations on line. I must say it was the absolute best dinner we have had in Honolulu and here in the big island. Food is superb, service fabulous. If you like well executed dishes, fresh, exquisite and plated beautifully, this is the place!!!”

“OMG! I want to so bad not to review this place because it will only make it more popular and I just want it all for myself. Would that be selfish of me? I mean, this place, omg the pho, the banh mi, and I've only been here once. I want to melt when I walk in. Thank you for being here.”

“Decent coffee at great prices! They’ll suggest adding sweetener to sesame, and I think that’s a good idea; sesame itself is quite weak of a flavor. Next time!”

“This place is so good and the people who work here are really friendly. I love that they have games to play while waiting for your ice cream too. Not ashamed to say that I've been here multiple days in a row. Best ice cream spot in Hilo in my opinion.”

“Fantastic pho. Some of the best I’ve had!!
Note to the owner: please don’t use bleach to clean the tables. Some bleach dripped on my seat, and when I sat down it stained my shirt and pants. A non-bleach cleaner would be better for customers’ clothing! Thank you.”

“Delicious 🤤🤤 we're only on this side of the island for the day or I'd here daily. No insane toppings hiding the flavor of the tuna. Just great fish, kind service, and happy tummy. Must try place if you like poke!”

“Mahalo nui au i nā wāhine o ka Papa'a Palaoa Bakery ma Hilo, Hawai'i. They assisted me in providing a whole lilikoi pie to bring home to San Francisco. They fully wrapped the box in plastic to keep the pie protected, so I could then place it in an insulated bag and surround the box with frozen ice packs. The pie (as well as a cinnamon roll) made it back home just as "hou" (fresh) as when I purchased it, me ka pilikia ole (with no problems), and the pie tastes 'ono loa. I am very grateful for their assistance, and especially their kindness. I highly recommend this bakery to everyone who wants fresh baked goods, but most of all, I am very grateful to the Aloha given by their employees. Mahalo nui loa!!”

“What a hidden gem on Banyan drive! The place looks very low key and unassuming, but serves great fruit ice cream bars of various flavors, all made with real fruits. The staff members are super friendly and even gave us fancy ice to keep our bars frozen. For anyone who visits there, make sure to order their malt milk shake, which for some reason isnt listed on the menu. If the fruit pops were 8/10, the malt milk shake would be 11/10. Yes it is that good!”

“The chef welcomes you and personally comes to your table to tell you about the food and menu of the day. Then you you see him and his assistant prepare your food in a tiny cooking area behind the counter. A more personal experience you cannot find besides having a personal chef. We showed up without a reservation, got lucky getting a table, and came back in about an hour for a spot at one of only 3 tables in the whole place. And for the quality, presentation, and value of the food you cannot find a better dining experience in Hilo or anywhere else. It was great food.”

“What an Experience! Dropped in for a hamburger plate on my way back to Hilo And. The kitchen BoyZ were kicking their Music So loud that two couples got up and left soon after their meals were served. F#@^ F÷@_ B÷& Ni$$$ The Disturbing noise wasn't good enough for Dez Boyz in da Kitchen. They had to crank up the Disgusting music so loud the customers could hardly order out front. I ordered my food to sit down and they gave it to me in a to go bag. Guessing that was a Hint. My soda cup came with a coffee cup lid so I guess I don't need no straw for dat one. No napkins in the bag and none at the counter but when I asked for a napkin, the waitress literalgave me over a dozen napkins. What's the point in all that? The burger patty slipped Off the bun and the lettuce and tomatoes went flying. The fries were OK. The best part of this place is Leaving....like the other customers ate doing. I attribute the problems in this restaurant to the lack of strong positive male models in this area. No self respecting man raises his boys to act like this. The music is offensive to any civil person. And just like that....I watched a customers dog pee on the floor in the dining room!”
