Unfortunately, the live band playing downstairs was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation and had to keep asking our server to repeat himself. Two nearby tables left because of the noise. If you're hoping for a peaceful early dinner, skip the 4:30 PM time during happy hour music. Great restaurant, but the volume ruined the vibe.”

Wait for a table with a view, it’s worth it. Kind of expensive, but not too bad for Maui. $18 for my 2 huge pancakes”

“I have been going to the fish market next door for years and Miss Arepas is also great. This is my first time trying Okazuya and I will be back. I asked about the sausage sandwich and she said “nobody orders that to be honest.” So of course I tried it. So good! The bread is so soft and the marinara sauce tastes fresh and homemade. Very tasty and the fries were delicious, crispy and perfectly seasoned. It is an off-the-wall order for a place that is stated as Asian on Google but they have a ton of variety on their menu.”

It is a resort restaurant, and worth every penny! Right off the beach of Black Rock Beach and easy to access.

“We stayed for 4 nights in the resort for my aloha birthday dream getaway and it was truly amazing stay. The staffs are so friendly and accommodating mostly are Filipinos like me. Our room was upgraded to a partial ocean view which makes us feel so special though breakfast buffet is just fair not much of food selections. Overall the resort is amazing with pool views and the beach!”

“For Starbucks this is a comfortable, dependable, above standard offering. With a long line it only took nine minutes and forty two seconds from lining up to having a coffee in my hand - and I ordered a specialty coffee.
My cortado tasted great - creamy and hit the spot.
The rest of the store was well put together.

“Every visit to Maui my wife and I wound up at kohola brewery on many nights! Why? Great atmosphere, delicious beer (Waterman our favorite), and - most of all - a warm & welcoming people!! Just because you get sat doesn't mean the server is ready for you. But there is no excuse for some of the comments I read. This is about to be fixed. This guy is going to train the rest of the staff that need help. I can't wait to see the improvement. It's about having fun and being on top of your game. Every move must be 3 steps in advance. You should never be looking around for a coffee refill of wanting a check. If there is an issue with your food the 3 minute check back is when you get to voice your opinion. If a server asks "how is everything? " be honest. We want you to enjoy it. Don't feel bad letting us know how we can improve your meal. That's what we get paid to do. We wanna know! Im not one throw race card but it seemed very prevalent...politely left and went next door to Lelani and was treated great and like a valued customer! please do better Hula grill!”

“Roy’s has alway been a longtime favorite restaurant. Whenever we happen to come upon a Roy’s in our travels to Hawaii, we make a point to enjoy a meal there. Longtime favorites include Szechuan grilled pork ribs and misoyaki butterfish. \n\nOn this particular visit, we arrived and had easy (and free) parking. The restaurant itself has been updated since our last visit, but it feel like it needs a serious update (feels like a huge open room), not just in atmosphere but the menu is still very similar to the one we’ve seen for decades. Is it resting on its laurels? \n\nOur server was fine, if we had to wait a smidge too long (long enough that we were asking ourselves where he went) for him to check on us while dining. We again ordered our favorites. Ribs were good, and the butterfish, while still delicious, wasn’t the dish we have raved about. The salmon was also very good. The chocolate toffee mousse cake was very good, but one should really give the Ube cheesecake a try. \n\nI sincerely hope Roy’s is still around on our next visit. It felt like an old standard that is at the end of its relevancy span.”

The drinks here are outstanding and definitely worth giving a try. The fried items we tried - Calamari, Niu Shrimp were a bit oily although very tasty. The lemon garlic aioli with the calamari was great.
We also tried their nachos with poke which was decent too.

“The food is delicious, fresh, tasty and delightful. You can tell they are proud of their food. They put effort in their product. The variety of options from the pizza toppings, delicious wagyu burger, salad options, gyros, desserts and ice cream which is actually gelato consistency with so many options in flavors. And for those who love fries these are great so crunchy and fresh!

The service and cleanliness is worth mentioning and effort by the great staff from the cooks Alberto and Arturo, the friendly and helpful cashier Angela and awesome manger Nicholas. Not to forget the pineapple robot that serves at tables.

The prices, ambience, and location is top notch considering that it was so easy to get to and open late. It's at walking distance from our hotel and other resorts.

I'm looking forward to coming back soon and bringing some friends along with me the next time around!!!!”
