“26 years ago we honeymooned in Maui. A friend recommended Hula Grill and it did not disappoint. In fact we ate dinner twice there and wished we have gone back sooner. A couple of kids later we are finally returning to visit one of most memorable meals in Hawaii. I kept a few mementos and made a lava flow in preparation for our dinner this coming Friday. “One of the more affordable dinner options in Maui. Very casual, Excellent Manhattan made with Japanese whiskey and a Hot Saki with Raspberry liquor. Very delicious.
Edemame served cold and without saw salt so asked then to warm it up and add latter. Miso soup very good. Delicious butter fish, better with skin taken off. Fatty belly tuna very rich and yummy (? Otoro). Tuna roll special with sarschi & sweet lines also delicious. Would come back here again!”

“Excellent poolside service and delicious drinks and fish tacos. The staff worked quickly to serve the large crowd and were very friendly. The pool area is beautiful and so close to the beach. If you are staying at or near the Hyattz I would definitely recommend checking this place out. There are two spas and one slide and a kiddie pool too.

At first we were a little suspect of the setup, and atmosphere, but once we got our food everything was so good, we were happy we had gone there. “L&L is on my must visit list on every Maui trip. Their garlic shrimp is absolutely addicting.
It's a no frill joint in a strip mall and lots of locals eat there. You can get all the Hawaii local dishes here with generous portion.
Hubby got the combo with short ribs and shoyu beef and chicken.”

We had the chirashi bowl $40, ahi and salmon nigiri, and rainbow roll $22. The fish is really fresh and quality.

For seating, there are 3 picnic tables that can probably seat 6 each.”

“It is the only full starbucks on the kaanapali walkway. However this starbucks does not have digital ordering system yet, so I haven't figured out how to track my starbuck purchase challenges. Phone purchases still work though along with basic point per dollar tracking.”

“We had mixed experiences at this shop. The ice cream was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Some of the best coconut ice cream I have ever had and the Kona combination flavor was also divine. The coffee was pretty good, but not amazing. But when we had to eat there for lunch during a storm we were very disappointed with the food. I had a chicken caesar salad and the flavor was fine but the chicken was extremely chewy. My husband had a tuna sandwich that he also said was just ok. And then of course, everything is expensive. We also had the ham and cheese croissants for breakfast one day and the croissant was very yummy! So just sort of hit or miss but if you want ice cream, it’s a great stop!”

“Half of my hotel stay was a 5/5 but it was bought by new owners for the other. I booked this hotel stay because it was the only privately owned hotel I could find in Maui. There was so much attention paid to honouring and celebrating Hawaiian culture, from the food to the amazing cultural centre. All staff was friendly and I had an incredible experience with the cultural centre staff who were always happy to answer any questions I had and share their own personal experiences. My farewell lei ceremony was a moment I'll never forget. I had a great Hawaiian meal at Hui Hui and halfway through my stay the hotel was abruptly bought and rebranded to Outrigger. Hui Hui is now going to be "Maui Brewing Co" and I can only hope that the new owner preserves what makes this place special - the cultural centre, the staff, and honouring/celebrating Hawaiian culture.”

So i give it a four star, the place has a two electricity outlet outside where anyone can charge up their cellphones or gadgets. It has a variety of food to choose from. Check it out! Both drinks were great. Appetizer was coconut shrimp. Tender and flavorful. Dinner was Mac crusted ono and mamas Yama meatloaf. Both were on point. Too full for dessert. I felt as if a lot of the staff had worked there a long time. They had confidence and a ease in performing their jobs yet were on top of their game. No slacking. The guy who served our food was picking it up and moving fast to deliver it but took time to explain what we ordered. We will be back!!”

It has a variety of food selection for breakfast including the regular breakfast items and Hawaiian style breakfast like spam, eggs & rice, Portuguese sausages, eggs & rice and a combination of spam, Portuguese sausage, eggs & rice. It is so busy and their staff worked as fast as they could & were very courteous. It needs to hire more staff to accommodate the many customers it has.”

“Roadside food truck with wood-fired Neopolitan-style pizza. It's a charming little roadside stop with a few picnic tables and chickens roaming around. The pizza had a decent char and the crust was thin yet not droopy -- just what you want in a Neopolitan-style pizza. Relatively limited topping options, but it's a food truck and what they had was great. Turn-around on the order was very reasonable, about 10-15 minutes for a freshly-made pizza. Price was a bit more than the mainland, -- which you could say that about any place in Maui, so let's just say they were reasonable for the area and be done with it. But you are getting a tasty handmade product that is hot and fresh, so it's easy to recommend this place if you drive by! Do watch out for the chickens, as a mama hen and 3 chicks jumped up onto our bench, and you know they really shouldn't have pepperoni!”

“My order took a little while although staff were upfront that I'd be waiting 15 minutes. But BRO as soon as I got the chicken cutlet dinner I knew it was gonna be Fire! 100% no question worth the wait. The chicken was cooked fresh and the gravy was out of control. I pride myself on clearing the whole plate so the fact that I had to put like half of it aside for later was impressive. Killa serving size, it was like Hawaii's schnitzel Scandia. So bomb. I will be back for another meat fix at Sparkys no doubt”

“The service is about to get allot better. They are bringing in a ringer. This dude can handle a floor by himself. He's like a duck in water. Mind you if the whole place is full you must be patient. I guarantee there won't be any sloppy moves. Remember there were only a few servers. It starts at the hostess/ host stand on giving the guests an accurate wait time. Just because you get sat doesn't mean the server is ready for you. But there is no excuse for some of the comments I read. This is about to be fixed. This guy is going to train the rest of the staff that need help. I can't wait to see the improvement. It's about having fun and being on top of your game. Every move must be 3 steps in advance. You should never be looking around for a coffee refill of wanting a check. If there is an issue with your food the 3 minute check back is when you get to voice your opinion. If a server asks "how is everything? " be honest. We want you to enjoy it. Don't feel bad letting us know how we can improve your meal. That's what we get paid to do. We wanna know! If you haven't figured it out yet... I'm the ringer. Come see me and the rest of the new improved crew. We look forward to making your day start out right. Then get on out and enjoy Maui!”

“We just so happened to stumble upon Slappy Cakes while driving by in Maui! We decided to check it out before heading back home from vacation and Slappy Cakes did NOT disappoint!! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was very friendly. Coy was our server and we will never forget how awesome he was!! Not only was he an excellent and very prompt server but he stayed after closing time to finish a conversation with us about the island that left a lasting impact on our hearts. Most would have pushed us out, but not a single staff at Slappy Cakes rushed us out at close so we could enjoy our meal and our experience while also making powerful connections!
