“I was told that the owners of Miki’s opened this business to serve food for all the people working graveyard shift or finished work late.
With that being said, this place has the best food anywhere in this time frame 12am - 3am. Miki’s is an amazing change of food choices for late at night.
-The plates are cheaper with big servings compared to other places.
-Lines get long but the wait time after ordering is never past 10 minutes.
-Parking is fun because it’s either on the curb or the side of the street.
People reviewing this place needs to realize this hole-in-the-wall food business is meant for people like me. Those who work late into the night, that’s my demographic. If you’re comparing this place to Zippys or anything like that, then go there shut up. This place makes all their food with love, that beats anything opened after hours to me, no 7/11, McDonald’s, no fast food place can compete that.“

“If you want an authentic local breakfast, this is the spot. I was raised in the islands and this was our go-to family tradition. Their pork adobo omelette is a masterpiece—the flavor profile is incredibly distinct and the execution is always spot on. I’ve been looking forward to this meal for years! I can’t wait to finally have it again when I visit😌“

“I have eaten in many Filipino restaurants, but hands down, this is the BEST place!! Home cooking at its finest! You must try the igado, pinapaitan, and pancit to name a few, but it's all yummy!💯 If you're from Hawaii, this is the best lunch spot, or if you're visiting, this is a must do on your bucket list! 😍😍😍“
“Located in the heart of Chinatown and Maunakea Marketplace, this place serves authentic Filipino food. I arrived late today and it was out of pork adobo. So I had Lechón Kawali and an unknown dish that was served cold. The lady told me it was pork and indeed it was pork, but it was like pork organs mixed with onions and scallions. Both dishes were tasty. With rice, the total was $20. Cash only here as well as other stalks here in the plaza. The serving size was decent as I couldn’t finish everything for lunch.
Vegetarian options: Some of Filipino vegetables dishes have small amounts of meat in them.
Parking: $3 per hour on the street. There were a couple small private lots across the street as well.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Brother came to visit over the holidays and wanted to check out Chinatown. Went to Naty's after I told my brother about an old Mark Weins YouTube video featuring the Filipino food joint. Food was great and the ladies taking our orders were super kind. Will definitely be back...food here is better than the options in Waipahu.“
“Fast and easy transaction. On time. Food tastes good, it has that comforting home-made vibe. Not too salty, the sawsawan is perfect. Tried the crispy pata, LK, pansit, chopseuy and kare-kare. Price is reasonable, too. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. 😊“
“For breakfast, a bowl of Pampanga Kitchen's Arroz Caldo (rice soup) is a great way to start the day. It's full of flavor, with generous amounts of chicken and an egg. Also included: two calamansi to jazz it up even more.
Order and pay at the register first. Counter seating.
Parking: parking may get tight later in the day
Wheelchair accessibility: good accessibility“

Vegetarian options: Fried eggplant, fried eggplant with egg, fish soups with veggies
Parking: Parking right in front of the building. Plenty of parking but when it's busy, you need to wait for parking.“

“If not so already, the Lechon here is legendary: extra crispy, crunchy skin; juicy pork. Pancit more akin to chicken chow mein — a happy surprise. Mini Plate, a nice accompaniment, one scoop rice with choice of 2 stews: kalabasa squash and stewed pork, amazing.
Excellent place to grab food-on-the-go when heading to the beaches on the West Side.“

“Food was typical Filipino food you can get anywhere on the island, but it's the pandesal and Spanish rolls that people come for. I was dining in, but there was a constant beeping every 5 seconds, so I put on my noise canceling earbuds.“

“I was craving Banana Lumpia so I had my sister drive me to Golden Coin here in Wahiawa . I really like their Banana Lumpia, sweet and crunchy along with their breads. My family likes the pick your choice hot food bar with lots of different food options- fried rice, fried noodles, bbq stick etc. The Honey Dew Bubble drink is very refreshing on a hot day, especially since summer is just around the corner, perfect to cool you down. They also have a freezer so you can conveniently have something on hand to eat at home. I grabbed a bag of frozen Manapuas in the freezer for my nephew so he can just nuke it in the microwave for a quick snack after school . Employees are friendly and they make sure the hot food keeps coming out. Lots of choices and very satisfying if you’re in a rush for a quick meal. Convenient parking available on their private lot. ?“

“My wife is Filipino so I chose here. The pizza was alright, sauce wasn't anything great through, my wife tried a favorite of hers but it didn't compare to her families cooking. The price was great though and portions fantastic. A mini pizza was enough for me but I think I would have been disappointed if I'd gotten a whole one for myself.“

“I always visit North Star in School Street each time I go to Honolulu. This is practically an extension of our home kitchen for authentic Ilocano cuisines.
This unassuming place is our go-to for chicharon and dinak-dakan. The best, freshest, and closest to the ones from the Philippines. I have yet to try their longanisa and see if this can be added to our go-to lists. They have other dishes that you can buy as an ala carte or part of a plate lunch to go. This is a very tiny place, so there is no dine in option. They have a limited selection of Filipino products you can peruse.
Friendly staff as always.
Parking: Parking is shared with other businesses. It's a bit hard to find parking out front, so people tend to double park. If you can't street parking, just patiently wait. Someone will come out sooner or later. It will be worth the wait, though.“

“Hole in the wall Filipino restaurant in Whitmore Village. Aesthetically it's not the cutest place but that's how you know there's gonna be some good, authentic, homemade food in there.First time here even though I'm a Wahiawa native. They sell ala cart, by the plate, and platters. It looks like lots of people ordered ahead for platters which I will also do myself the next time. I went a couple hours before closing so the food didn't look fresh but we enjoyed it. Salty and savory food that hits the spot and wear something comfy cause it'll definitely be kanaks after.“

“I always go here when I crave for Filipino dishes. I get their breakfast (Beef Tapasilog, Longsilog), halo-halo, and others like palabok and inasal chicken. Sometimes, I also get some of their Filipino streetfoods. Always good to be back when I get a chance.“

“HONESTY HONESTY HONESTY. I bring my family here mainly for breakfast because of the great food, PRICES, & service. After we paid for our meals, as we were walking out the door, the young man owner/server stopped us and said that we may have over paid our bill by $50 which included the tip. I didn't realized I added it wrong. So he had me change it if I wanted to. He was HONEST and realized the overpayment and to double check with me. God bless him for his honesty and his restaurant will continue to flourish. SA808“

“This is one of my lunch spot when I worked in the university. Wednesdays they had kare kare and it was always so comforting. and bilobilo, when i need some warm sweets during rainy day it's just the best. also i do not like bitter melon but their pinakbet i would eat.
During lunch hour there's a long line in the restaurant so it may feel weird to dine in. but I always grab it to go.
this is one of the spot that I miss the most after i moved away.“

“Food was good, tried the lechon kawali and pancit. Lechon kawali didn't stick out but was still good. Pancit is really good. Had to ask for sauces tho. I liked how the tables are spaced out and not cramped. Service was excellent. There’s a bathroom which is a plus. Atmosphere is nice and open and is clean and organized. Overall great place!“

“It's in Pearlridge Mall. I have been coming here for years, and it's always been good. Getting pricey, though. 3 choice $20. If you was in the Philippines, $5 maybe less...lol...funny how things is much cheaper in their own country but not in the US....?“

“Another one of my all-time island favorites. If you are looking for Filipino Kankanin/desserts, then look no further. This is mine, as well as my family's top choice.
I placed an advance order for a family gathering for Puto Kutsinta and Sapin Sapin. The order was ready as I walked in. The cashier was very friendly. They also have a very good selection of Filipino foods available. But unfortunately did not get to try this time around.
The Kankanin was a hit, all loved it. The price is worth the quality. Highly recommended.
Parking: Limited parking and difficult to find during the busy times.“

“Went there for the chicken papaya soup based on my good buddy’s recommendation.
He was right, it’s great with lots of chicken, papaya and kalamunguy leaves. It comes with jasmine rice. Also, got the gisantes and pinakbet combo with pancit. It was all delicious.
Parked in the 2nd level parking structure downstairs and the escalators lead right up to the entrance of the food court where Pampanga is located in.“
