“Located in the H Mart food court. This is a nice little eatery whether you want some dumplings, kimchi fried rice or a Korean style ramen. I suggest stopping in at lunch time it seems to rarely be crowded. The service was pleasant and helpful. The food was made with care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere, well you're in a grocery store food court, the word ambiance doesn't really apply.

Stop by and have some lunch, there are a few eateries in here and a small bar. So there is something for everyone.“

“One of my favorite places in Downtown to grab a quick lunch. The owners are really sweet and provide quick service. They have the food prepped and out on the counter for easy-grab and go. I love going on Tuesdays and Thursdays because they have Kimchi soup. It is so good and the pork belly in it is so so soft and melts in your mouth. All of the other food are really tasty as well. When we have work potlucks, I always come by here to grab a couple of kimbaps. It always gets devoured. If you are in the area, definitely check them out and support them.“

While it’s not a full sit-down restaurant, there’s a small table with three chairs where you can wait comfortably for your order. And the free street parking makes stopping by so easy. I’ve been to over a dozen Korean restaurants on the island since 2018, but I keep coming back to this one—for the taste, price, and service. The food here is some of the most authentically delicious Korean cuisine I’ve found outside Korea, reminiscent of those hidden gem, back-alley spots in Korea.

Portions are generous, the banchan spread is solid, and most importantly the flavors are consistently spot-on. Their lunch and happy hour specials (before 7 PM) are a great deal so I usually go then.

Favorites: the angler fish, pork backbone soup, grilled pork belly, and honestly, any of the soups“

“I am Korean, and was looking for some good kimchi. I was told h Mart's kimchi is okay but banton House is best. So I went there and was pleasantly surprised at some of the offerings they had. This is not a sit-in restaurant. It's simply just a grab-and-go grocer. All different kinds of Korean side dishes and wonderful kimchi. The kimchi is amazing and i would recommend it. Parking is a little tight. The owner is super sweet. Lot of Korean people shop here so that means it's authentic and it's good. They sell large quantities of kimchi in a plastic bag so be prepared, you need a container to put it in.“

“This place offers great grab and go or made to order Korean food in the Lanai food court in the Ala Moana Center. Normally, I'm not impressed with mall food and especially ethnic foods in the mall, but this place does a good job. It is a more contemporary take on Korean food, but it tastes great and reasonably priced for being in a mall. Their Bibimbap is my favorite made to order dish. It is packed with lots of the usual goodies and they offer brown rice for an healthy option. You can also get the japji noodles instead which I prefer since it adds more contrast and extra flavors that match well to the mix. The grab and go selection offers a wide selection of Korean favorites. Their triangle Korean flavors musubi are and excellent quick bite if you don't want much, but got a hunger you need to calm. There are both spicy and mild assorted fillings. A real winner in their grab and go selection is the KFC rice bowl. Piece of Korean fried chicken that are sauced up on hot rice. I recommend the spicy. It isn't that spicy, but just the right kick. The dish is small, but very filling. Probably would be good for a hangover.“

“I’m Korean and I’ve never had handmade mandoo better than the ones we got at Omega. The dumpling skin was so chewy and soft, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients in the filling. Amongst a variety of places to try Giovanni Shrimp truck has a location up there, great for when you don’t want to drive all the way to the North Shore. My shrimp plate was just as good as the original truck! Go check it out!“

Now, the reviews may be right about the meatjun. It’s not the best, meat was kinda tough but flavor wise was ok, I’m all about having a good sauce to cover that so i ordered extra meat Jun sauce.Kalbi was freakin good. Way better than pearls because the marinate and smoky taste from the grill comes thru. It’s also not overly sauced up like some places, it just tastes like homemade kalbi cooked on a grill. You don’t need to get the meat Jun, but you gotta get the kalbi.4 sides: 2x mayo potato (always good lil sweet) noodles, and seaweed. The menu is broad and covers (darn near) everything: jjigaes, mandu kuk, dok mandu kuk, soon toobu, kalbi, etc, etc. This is Korean food that a Korean mom would make, assuming she is a great cook. There is plenty of parking and the prices are great. The service was great, she went out of her way to painstakingly give us directions. Hands down the best meal we had while in Oahu.

“Old school Wahiawa Korean restaurant thats been around seemingly forever thats known for their meat jun. The original owners arent there anymore so maybe thats why the taste is a bit different nowdays. Still good but not like I remember. Service is typical of Korean restaurants.... Gotta flag them down if you want something.

Post covid hours have changed so they close very early now. Been just ordering to go, and as a common rule wherever i go I check my order before I leave🤙A generous 4 stars.“
